Background
The Old Man and the Sea 是海明威著名的代表作之一，1951年创作于古巴。故事讲述了古巴老渔夫桑提亚哥在海上独自钓到一条巨大的马林鱼并与之周旋、搏斗，历经三天最终捕获大鱼，在返航途中却又遭受鲨鱼袭击的经历。故事弘扬了人类迎接挑战及勇敢面对失败的无畏气概。
