After a two-day train ride, I finally arrived in Delhi. I took a taxi to a small hotel. The owner (主人) was really kind and friendly. He showed me my room. It was very clean and comfortable. I read some of my tourist guide (旅游指南) to India. I was really tired and fell asleep in the middle of an article about street food.

Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner is a great mountain climber. She has climbed 14 of the world's highest mountains, which are all over 8,000 m high. Because the air is thinner, most climbers need extra oxygen (额外的氧气) to reach the top of these mountains. However, Kaltenbrunner is the first woman to climb all 14 mountains without extra oxygen.
Kaltenbrunner started climbing when she was growing up in the mountains of Austria. At 13 years old, she climbed her first big mountain, Sturzhahn. She became a nurse, but always had a passion for climbing. At 32 years old, Kaltenbrunner climbed her fourth big mountain, Nanga Parbat in Pakistan, and later decided to become a full-time (全职的) mountain climber.
In 2007, Kaltenbrunner had an accident when climbing Dhaulagiri in Nepal. She was inside her tent one morning when an avalanche struck (雪崩发生). When the avalanche stopped, it was very dark and she didn't know where she was. She found a small knife, and cut a hole in her tent. Slowly, Kaltenbrunner got out of the snow.
After the accident, Kaltenbrunner said, “I couldn't stop climbing. This is my life.” She climbed the 14th mountain, K2 between Pakistan and China, in 2011. Although she faced many problems when she climbed mountains, Kaltenbrunner never thought of giving up. “If you really love something, you'll find a way to do it,” she said.

◆ 附加题(共10 分) ◆
How do you measure (测量) happiness Maybe health is a good way, because a famous doctor once said, “Happy people are less likely (可能的) to get sick.” It’s also easy to measure how many people feel ill or unhealthy in a country. For example, one study showed that Iceland is one of the happiest countries in the world because men and women there all live a long time. The air there is very clean and there are more doctors available to every person than many other countries in the world.
However, artist Erik Krikortz feels that there are other ways of measuring happiness. Krikortz has a website (网站) and visitors can choose different happy or sad faces to show how well they sleep, their relationships with family and friends, their level of stress (压力水平), and how much physical exercise they do every day. When they finish, the website gives a result of their happiness.
In his home city of Stockholm, Sweden, Krikortz also shows the results as different colored lights (灯) on the side of a large building. For example, red means the people of Stockholm are very happy, green is OK and purple means many people are sad. “A lot of people look at the building every day and see how we are,” Krikortz says. The colored lights are also useful if you feel like visiting Stockholm. For example, if the lights are red, you know the people there are feeling happy!

I’m Bella from Class 2, Grade 8. We all know health is important. But how can we keep healthy Here are my ideas.
First, we should have healthy eating habits. We shouldn’t eat too much meat or fast food. They are bad for our health. We should eat more fruit and vegetables every day.
Second, it’s good for us to exercise often. Running, swimming and playing ball games are all good for our health. Also, going to school by bike or on foot is helpful.
Third, sleeping and getting up early are both very important. Getting enough sleep can make us healthier.
Last but not least, we should learn to relax. When we feel tired, listening to some light music or taking a shower can help us relax.
I hope my ideas are useful to you.
