There are a lot of books in it.它(图书馆)里面有很多书。
用法总结 a lot of表示“许多”“大量的”的意思。a lot of既可接可数名词,也可接不可数名词,多用于肯定句,与lots of意思一样。
a lot of后接可数名词时,相当于many。a lot of后接不可数名词时,相当于much。例如:
There are a lot of/lots of students on the playground now.
=There are many students on the playground now. 现在操场上有许多人。
There is a lot of/lots of juice in the bottle.
=There is much juice in the bottle. 瓶子里有许多果汁。
