第一节
1. when意为“当……的时候”，表示从句的动作和主句的动作同时发生或先后发生。
1) When I first arrived on this island, I had nothing.
当我第一次达到这个岛屿时，我一无所有。
2) When we lived in town, we often went to the theater.
我们住在城镇里的时候经常去看戏。
3) We were watching TV, when the light went out.
灯熄灭时，我们正在看电视。
when也可表示“正在那时”
2. while 意为“当……的时候”，表示从句的动作和主句的动作同时发生。
1) While Mary was writing a letter, the children were playing outside.
玛丽写信时， 孩子们正在外面玩耍。
2) His father was watching TV while his mother was doing housework.
他父亲在看电视而他母亲在做家务。
3. as意为“一边……一边……”，主句和从句的动作同时发生。
1) He sang as he walked.
他边走边唱。
2) As the sun rose, the fog disappeared.
太阳升起，浓雾随之散去。
as 也可表示主句和从句的动作伴随进行。
4. until/till 意为“直到”
1) He worked till / until I came back at 12：00 last night.
他昨晚一直工作到12点我回来的时候。
2) You’ll not go out until you’ve finished your English homework.
你知道完成英语作业才能外出。
not一般跟until一起搭配使用, “not…until…” 意为“直到……才……”

5. as soon as 意为“一……就……”强调主句的动作紧跟着从句的动作。
1) I’ll write to you as soon as I get to Beijing.
我一到北京就会给你写信。
2) Please ask him to give me a call as soon as he returns.
他一回来就请让他给我打个电话。
6. since 意为“自从……”,引导时间状语从句时，从句用一般过去时，主句用现在完成时
1) Cath hasn’t phoned since she went to Berlin.
自从去了柏林，卡思就没有打来过电话。
2) She has been worried since the letter arrived.
自从收到信，她就一直担心。

从我离校到现在又两年了。
4) It has been ten years since they married.
他们结婚到现在已经十年了。

第二节
1. if 意为“如果”，引导条件状语从句，时态要遵循“主将从现”原则
1) If it doesn’t rain, we will go to the park.
如果明天不下雨，我们就去公园。
2) If I pass the exam, my dad will make me a big meal.
如果我通过了考试，我爸会给我做一顿大餐。
3) I don’t know if he will be able to come.
我不知道他是否能来。
if意为“是否”，引导宾语从句

2. unless 意为“除非，如果不”，遵循“主将从现”原则，相当于“if…not”
1) You will fail in French unless you study hard.

第三节
because, since和as 意为“因为”都可引导原因状语从句，语气由强到弱依次为 “because, since, as”。
1) The food tasted great because I was so hungry！
这些食物的味道非常好，因为我很饿！
2) Since everyone has come, let’s begin our meeting.
既然大家都来了，我们开会吧，
3) As it was dark, we stopped working.
天黑了，所以我们停止工作了。

1. such…that “如此…….以至于……”引导结果状语从句

2. so…that 意为“如此……以至于……”，引导结果状语从句

1. 当名词前有many, much, few, little 等表示数量多少的词修饰时，应用so
1) He had so much work to do that he couldn’t watch TV.
他要做的工作太多了，以至于不能看电视。
2) There are so many books in the library that you can’t read them all.
这个图书馆里有那么多的书，你是看不完的。

第五节
though, although, even though/if, no matter+疑问词, whatever 等引导让步状语从句，不能和but连用
1) Although/ Though she was tired, she kept on working.
虽然她很累了，她仍然继续工作。
2) No matter what you do, I support you.
不管你做什么，我都支持你。
= Whatever you do, I support you.
no matter+特殊疑问词= 特殊疑问词+ever
