1. Do you have a big or a small family
你有一个大家庭还是一个小家庭?
选择疑问句
定义:选择疑问句是提问者提供两种或两种以上的情况,让对方从中作出选择的疑问句。其表现形式可以是一般疑问句形式,也可以是特殊疑问句形式,选项之间要用连词or 连接。在朗读选择疑问句时,or 之前选项读升调,or 之后选项读降调。
选择疑问句的句型结构:
①一般疑问句+or +另一选项
—Do you like milk or coffee 你喜欢牛奶还是咖啡?
—I like milk. 我喜欢牛奶。

②特殊疑问句+选项A (选项B)+or+选项C
Which would you like, apples, oranges or bananas 你喜欢苹果、橘子还是香蕉?
选择疑问句的回答:
选择疑问句不能用yes或no来回答,应根据实际情况进行回答,回答可以用完整句子,也可用选项部分的一个短语。

我们坐高铁还是乘飞机去北京?
—We’ll go there by high-speed train./ By high-speed train.

2. Let me tell you about my family. 让我来告诉你我的家庭。
tell作实义动词,意为“告诉;说;辨别”。常见用法如下:
①tell sb. about sth./sb. 告诉某人某事/关于某人的情况
②tell sb. sth. (tell sth. to sb.) 告诉某人关于某事(的情况)
③tell sb. (not) to do sth. 告诉某人(不)要做某事
I tell Kevin about the little boy. 我告诉了凯文关于那个小男孩的事。
Tell me your name and address. 告诉我你的名字和住址。
Tell him (not) to come to my home this afternoon. 告诉他今天下午(不)要来我家。
tell常与can, could等词连用,意为“辨别,分辨”,常用短语 tell A from B,意为“区分A和B”。
Can you tell her from her twin sister 你能分得出她和她的孪生妹妹吗?
