I first worked as a waitress. Every day, I greeted guests with a warm smile and led them to the tables. I also carried meals and drinks from the kitchen to their tables. The work was boring, and I had to work for long hours. Soon after, I found a new job at a bookstore. With shelves of books all around me, I really enjoyed my work. Before the bookstore opened or after it closed, I often took books from the shelves
to read. I always shared my reading experiences with
my customers and had interesting conversations with them.
Last year, I became the new manager. Moving from the noisy
restaurant to the quiet bookstore, and from a waitress to a
manager, is not just a simple job change, but a big
change in my life.
