Sonorization(浊化)就是:清辅音(比如 /t//p//s/ 这些发音时声带不振动的辅音),在碰到浊音、响音(像 /r//a / 这些声带振动的音),或者在口语自然说的时候,会变得更像浊辅音(声带振动,比如 /d//b/),读起来更松弛、流畅。
比如:
street里的 /tr/,/t/ 容易变像 /d/,读着像 /dr/ 开头;
spider里的 /sp/,/p/ 容易变 /b/,读成 /sb d /;
还有snow(/sn/)、small(/sm/)这些 “清辅音 + 鼻音 / 响音” 的组合,清辅音也会因为后面音的共鸣,读起来更柔和、有点浊化的感觉。
