Unit 6 I'm going to study computer science

I. The Material about this unit:
This unit is about future intentions. It begins with some interesting jobs. Especially, some new professions which are concerned with the information technology and the flying attract students. In order to express future intentions, students will be practiced repeatedly by the target language. And to the students of Grade Two, ten new words are too many, we could only finish 1a to 1c in this period.

Step 1. Greeting
Chant to set up a relaxing classroom situation, and help students to get into my class quickly.
Step 2. Presentation
Show Ss some pictures to talk about jobs.
Teach new words.
Step 3. Guessing game
Who can answer the questions quickly?
Have Ss give their answers .
Step 4. Presentatin
In order to learn the new target language "What are you going to be…", have students talk about what they want to be in the future using the phrase " I’m going to be…" .
Make their conversations using the target language:
A: What are you going to be when you group up?
B: I’m going to be a/an …
A: How are you going to do that?
B: I’m going to …
Step 5. Listening ( 1b)
Get students to do some listening and match the items and fill in the blanks, then practice the conversations in pairs.
Check the answers.
Ask and answer in pairs like this:
A: What do you want to be when you grow up?
B: I want to be a basketball player.
A: How are you going to do that?
B: I'm going to practice basketball every day.
Step 6. Groupwork
This is the core of this class. How to describe the future intention is the main topic in this class. We can express it using " …be going to do…" .Also, practise the writing skills.
To practice the target language ,get students to make interviews and then report , first in group, then in class.
Ask some groups to report their work .
Step 7. Summary
Key vocabulary and Target language.
Step 8. Homework
Learn the new words and phrases by heart.
Write an article about your dream job.
