如：There is some water in the glass.
There is a girl and five boys in the classroom.
There are five boys and a girl in the classroom.
(2)have也有“有”的意思，但它表示所属关系，可指有生命的人或动物拥有什么，也可指无生命的事物拥有什么，这与there be句型不同。
如：I have two brothers. A cat has four legs.
(3)There be句型的一般疑问句形式是将be提到句首，句尾变问号。肯定回答Yes，there is/are.否定回答No，there isn’t/aren’t.
如:Is there a bank in the street?
No,there isn’t.
2.across与cross
（1）across横过，在对面(一定范围内从一侧到另一侧，所表示的动作在表面进行，含义与on有关）
如:Go across the street，and you’ll see the tall building.
（2）cross穿过
如：She is crossing the street.
补充: (1)through穿过，侧重于动作在某一物体的内部空间里进行，含义与in有关。
如：They can walk through the forest without any difficulty.
(2)over侧重于越过某一高大物体，具有动态之意。
