1.整体设计思路、指导依据说明
《中小学英语课程标准》指出:英语教学中应体现交际性,要结合学生的年龄特点和生活实际,创设交际情景,通过大量的语言实践,使学生获得综合运用英语和语言技能进行交际的能力。针对初中英语新教材容量大的特点,为了使教学面向全体学生,依据Go for It!教材的课程理念,采用高效课堂学习模式,充分发挥学生的创造性与积极性。
2.教学背景分析
教学内容分析:
本单元主要围绕“人生目标”及“如何实现人生目标”这一话题,展开be going to结构表示计划、打算的用法的学习。通过人生目标这一话题讨论,能识别和了解一些新兴行业的英语表达方法,并且通过畅想未来理想职业,树立学生的生活目标,引导学生制定相应的学习计划。本课时是本单元的第一课时,主要学习任务就是引出新知,与学生谈论未来的理想职业以及为实现目标而采取的措施。在这些话题讨论中,复习一些职业名称以及学习一些新兴行业的名称,并且学会用be going to 结构谈论对将来的计划和打算等。
学生情况分析:
教学的对象是初二学生(以中等生为主),他们学习英语有较强的记忆力和模仿能力,有较强的求知欲和表现欲,但部分学生存在不自信,羞于表现等思想顾虑,但又希望能得到他人的肯定。因此在教学活动中尽量让这部分学生参与到活动中来,有更多的机会来说英语,减少他们的恐惧感;有一些学习困难生由于基础薄弱,缺少丰富的语言基础,对某些任务的完成有一定的难度,教师可采取小组奖励的办法,通过学生间的合作学习,促进小组成员之间的互帮互学,鼓励小组中的优秀成员主动帮助学习困难生,培养学生的团队意识。提高他们综合运用语言的能力,让他们都能体验到成功的喜悦,使各层次的学生都有所收获。
3.教学目标分析
1. 语言知识目标:
掌握以下单词:grow up, computer programmer, cook, doctor, engineer, violinist, driver, pilot, pianist, scientist,be sure about, make sure
掌握以下句型:
①??─What do you want to be when you grow up???
─I want to be a basketball player.?
② ─How are you going to do that? ─I’m going to practice basketball every day.?
掌握语法:be going to do 表示打算、计划的用法。
技能目标:
能听懂用be going to结构谈论自己及他人理想职业的对话,并能用这种结构进行相关话题的会话。
3. 情感态度目标: 每个人都有自己的梦想和对未来的打算,对于将来想要从事的职业也充满了憧憬。 人们也常谈论他们的设想,因此,应通过学习这单元的内容来激发学生们的学习主动性和学习兴趣,使他们更加有理想,并为实现自己的理想而不断努力。
4.教学重点、难点分析
教学重点:1.新单词和新句型。
2.语法:?be going to do 表示打算、计划的用法。
教学难点:用be going to结构进行谈论自己及他人理想职业的会话,即活用知识。
5.教学过程设计
(中文为主 + 所教学科目标语言)
步骤1:Lead-in (5分钟)
(1)出示几张学生们喜欢的明星照片,如林书豪,都教授,张杰,问:What does he do?/What’s he? 引出职业的名称,然后复习学过的职业名称单词(先口头提问,后出示汉意检查英语) worker, singer, dancer, teacher, cleaner, policeman, nurse, doctor, actor, farmer,waiter。 (这个作为预习作业布置给学生:列出所学过的职业名称)
(2)之后教师询问几个学生父母的职业,学生四人小组循环询问。
设计意图:利用学生喜欢的明星导入新课,可以激发学生的学习兴趣。对于职业的名称以前学习过不少,将其设计成预习作业--列出学过的职业名称,既可以引导学生复习和思考,又可以加大课堂容量,同时减轻本节课任务。本节课重点在于利用新语法谈论理想职业,进行会话。至于询问父母的职业,与学生生活实际相关联,也是学生倍感兴趣的话题,同时也加深老师对学生和同学间的了解。
步骤2:Presentation and practice (1a--生词教学)(4分钟)
1. 播放幻灯片,展示一些职业的图片,来引导学生们学习一些新的职业名词:
?computer programmer, cook, doctor, engineer, violinist, driver, pilot, pianist, scientist
2. 让学生看大屏幕来学习记忆这些生词。
3. 检查生词:齐读;个别读;让单词消失,看着图片说出职业名称。
设计意图:用多媒体教学新出现的职业名称,更直观,形象生动,能吸引学生的注意力,有助于激发他们的学习兴趣。
步骤3:Presentation(句型教学)(6分钟)
利用词汇教学的图片,导出新句型。问一个学生:What job do you like? Do you want to be a ... when you grow up? 让学生初步感知want to be ,grow up.问另一个学生:What do you want to be when you grow up? 再问几个学生。
同桌对话练习。
利用图片继续导出新句型。说:If you want to be an actor, how are you going to do that?
帮助学生回答:take acting lessons.然后导出并练习其他几组:computer programmer--study computer science;engineer--study math really hard;basketball player--practice basketball every day;scientist--study science;a teacher--study education
设计意图:语言的练习过程是先死后活,死去活来。对于这两组句型来说,第一组简单,而第二组,学生受其思维和词汇量的影响,很难做到顺利回答。这就需要一个大量知识输入的过程,所以利用图片先让学生感知这些新知识,输入脑子,即知识死学的过程。这一环节很重要,只有这里死学记住,才能有后面的灵活运用。再就是3a的内容就是专门练习这样的情景对话的,这里把3a中一些短语提前教学了,这样在处理3a时,也简单了。
步骤4:Practice(1c) (5分钟)
利用图片练习两组句型A:What do you want to be when you grow up? B:I want to be ... A: How are you going to do that? B: I am going to +do...
同桌两人一组练习,之后教师检查几组。检查时把图片上的词汇提示去掉。
检查完对话后,简单讲解语法。以提问的方式引导学生把be going to 的用法总结出来,后教师适当补充和纠正。
设计意图:语言学习的最终目的是死去活来,在感知,掌握新知后,得运用新知。让学生对话训练,检查运用情况,尤其是将词汇提示去掉,更增加了知识活用的难度。
步骤5:Listening (1b) (3分钟)
导入听力训练:some students are talking about their future intentions. Look at 1b. Let’s listen and fill in the blanks. Then match the items. 给予学生一定的读题时间。可以根据情况听两遍。
设计意图:做听力训练,不仅培养了学生听的能力而且让新的语言点在听力材料中再现,从而加以巩固,实质上是变换语言输入的形式。再者听力之前教师必须做好听力内容的大致引导及听力难点的突破。至于重难点在上面的几个环节中都突破了,这里就是用简单的几句话大致说明一下听力的内容,让学生有的放矢即可。
步骤6:Listening (2a, 2b) (5分钟)
(1)出示2a的图片,告诉学生,这是程晗。问:What’s he going to do? 看上面几张图片,根据图片造句--He’s going to be an engineer/ a teacher/ an actor. 然后听力选择。
(2)Let Ss read the chart in 2b. Tell Ss that they’ll listen to Cheng Han’s plan for the future.? They should answer the questions:
“What” means “What is Cheng Han want to be?”
“Where” means “where is he going to work?”
“How” means “How is he going to do it? ”
“When” means “when is he going to start?”
设计意图: 2b的听力练习有一定难度,教师必须做好难点突破,用完整句子解释表格中的四个词,这样既可以帮助学生了解听力任务,又可以为下面的对话操练做好铺垫和预热。在此处设计树形板书,体现如何制定计划和实施计划,从而引导学生确定人生目标,关键是引导学生如何才能实现目标。
步骤7:Role-play ( 2d ) (7分钟)
导入:Andy and Ken are talking about their plans for the future?.
1. Read the conversations and answer the three questions:
① What does Ken want to be???? __________________________________
② How is he going to do that???? __________________________________
③ What does Andy want to be??? ____________________________________
2. Explain main points in the conversation.
让学生再读一遍,找到难点,之后教师讲解。
(1)The Old Man and the Sea?by Hemingway. 海明威的《老人与海》。 此处介词by为“由……所著”之意。
(2)keep on doing 继续做原来做的事情。
(3)I’m not sure about that. 我不确定。 be sure of/about+代词/名词/doing “确信”
(4)Then you can be anything you want! 那么你就能当上你想做的人了。
此句的基本意思是you can be anything,不定代词anything指代未来所从事的某一职业,you want用来修饰anything。
3. Let Ss read the conversation. ?
4. Practice the conversation with their partner. Then let some pairs to complete the conversation.
设计意图:此段对话丰富了语言内容,更走向了生活化,突出了语言应用性的特点。所以语言内容没有多大难度,这样就设计了几个阅读题,只要找到答案,说明学生也就理解了。不过有几个新句子比较难以理解,这就需要把重难点点拨讲解。对于对话的操练,采用填空的形式,因为当堂就背诵过对话,有点难度。
步骤8:Practice(2c)and writing (7分钟)
根据树形板书的四个问题,设计自己的人生目标和具体实施计划。先同桌做问答练习,检查几组。然后个人用陈述性语言与大家交流自己的未来计划。
教师最后对学生进行思想教育:Hold fast to dreams. They will come true one day!紧紧抓住梦想,总有一天梦想会成真。
设计意图:通过问答这四个问题,一是为了操练语言内容,二是引导学生如何制定计划和实施计划。最后让学生用陈述性语言表达出自己的未来计划,让学生达到最高的活用知识的水平,这才是真正的“死去活来”。
步骤9:小结和思想教育 (3分钟)
小结:本节课有哪些收获?1.新单词和新句型。齐读一下。2.语法:be going to 3.确定人生目标,且制定具体的实施计划。

设计意图:通过小结帮助学生回顾知识,且将知识系统化,便于学生课下复习。同时通过小结3的内容顺势引出对学生的情感思想教育,而通过学生们喜欢的草根明星王宝强做榜样,学生更喜欢,且更有说服力。
步骤10:作业:
把你的人生目标和计划写成书面文字。
设计意图:作业是步骤8中写作的继续和完善。
板书设计:
设计意图:板书的内容就是本节课的学习目标:右边是新单词,中间是新句型和语法,左边是情感教育目标--树立人生目标、制定计划、最终实现目标。尤其是情感教育目标做了特色设计,用一棵大树象征着实现的目标,实现目标需要的努力和过程就是树叶,枝繁叶茂,也就意味着人生成功了。

评测练习分两步进行:第一步,让学生就上面的四个问题展开交流,谈论未来的理想职业以及为实现目标而采取的措施。这一个练习既进行口语对话训练,又是对本节课所学内容的一个综合性训练;既检查学生输入信息的情况,又检验学生输出信息的能力。第二步,让学生根据讨论的内容写成作文--- My plan for life。此写作练习可谓是综合性最强、对学生能力要求最高的一个练习题型,考查了学生的语言表达能力、语言组织能力、语法应用能力、书写能力等多种能力。当然如果学生掌握了本节课的重点句型和短语,加之上面的讨论及图示注解,还是可以很好地完成这篇作文的。
