本单元的话题是关于世界知识,
谈论地理与自然，本部分围绕地理知识展开,呈现大数字和表示度量的结构,拓展比较级和最高级的用法,
从而培养学生热爱祖国，热爱自然的情怀。1a-1c活动呈现四幅图画,引出自然地理之最相关数据。模仿大数字的读法。
学情分析：
八年级学生在八年级上册第3单元和第4单元学习过比较级和最高级，为本单元的学习内容做了良好的铺垫，本单元是综合运用比较级和最高级来谈论地理事实。在此过程中培养学生的跨学科意识，英语地理互相融会贯通。
教学目标：
