In
2015,
Chennai
was
destroyed
by
one
of
the
worst
floods
in
over
a
century,
leaving
thousands
without
food,
water
and
supplies.
During
the
flood,
many
heroes
arose,
one
of
whom
was
Santosh,
a
young
man
who
owned
a
take-out
restaurant
in
Chennai.
When
the
first
flood
hit
in
November,
he
got
a
call
from
a
company
called
Naga
Rava.
The
company
asked
him
to
prepare
5,000
packets
of
food
and
give
them
to
the
flood
victims.
He,
with
his
partners,
took
the
order,
cooked
for
14
hours
and
delivered(递送)
them.
But
that
night,
as
they
sat
together
discussing
the
event
of
the
day,
they
actually
felt
ashamed(羞愧).
“Here
was
a
man
not
even
from
Chennai
and
he
was
going
out
of
his
way
to
help
the
affected
people.
We,
while
living
here,
had
not
really
done
anything
ourselves
for
our
own
people,”
said
Santosh
later.
He
then
began
the
groundwork
for
a
collection
to
help
cook
more
dishes.
Little
did
he
know
that
the
November
flood
was
just
the
beginning,
and
the
real
show
was
about
to
begin.
The
December
flood
affected
them
all.
His
own
house
got
flooded
and
his
family
was
trapped
on
the
second
floor.
They
lost
phone
connection
and
electricity.
In
spite
of
this,
Santosh
went
back
out
into
the
flood,
creating
a
kitchen
and
preparing
food
all
by
himself
for
the
victims.
He
did
not
sleep
for
four
days,
taking
a
one-hour
break
every
day
as
he
kept
on
cooking.
As
word
got
out
about
this
man’s
effort,
others
stepped
out
to
join
him.
From
children
to
the
elderly,
strangers
came
to
help
him
in
cooking,
packing
and
transporting
food.
Up
to
300
volunteers
worked
together
to
make
it
all
happen.
By
the
time
the
fourth
day
finally
came
to
an
end,
Santosh
and
his
team
had
prepared
170,000
food
boxes
and
delivered
them
to
people
in
need.
24.What
inspired
Santosh
to
help
the
affected
people?
A.A
call
for
help.

cooking
skills.

act
of
kindness
of
a
stranger.
D.The
encouragement
from
his
partners.

does
“the
real
show”
in
the
third

refer

help
and
support.

severer
flood.
C.Santosh’s
family
suffering.
D.Santosh’s
cooking
more

This
spring,
you
may
be
fortunate
enough
to
have
good
weather,
a
small
piece
of
earth
and
the
energy,
enthusiasm
and
inspiration
to
plant
a
garden.
There
is
nothing
better
to
shake
off
the
boredom
and
dullness
of
winter
than
to
dig
in
the
earth,
plant
some
seeds
and
watch
them
grow.
A
small
garden
can
produce
something
extra
fresh
for
dinner,
flowers
for
the
table
and
a
feeling
of
accomplishment.
It
is
work,
but
it
is
ever
so
rewarding.
What
about
your
life
garden?
Just
as
a
beautiful
garden
is
a
work
in
progress,
so
is
the
garden
in
your
mind.
It
takes
conscious
effort,
planning,
constant
nurturing(培育)
and
weeding
to
grow
a
garden.
What
have
you
planted?
What
have
you
allowed
to
take
root?
Is
your
life
the
out-picturing
of
a
well
laid
out
garden
or
a
jumble
of
plants,
trees
and
weeds
whose
seeds
were
blown
your
way
and
took
root?
We
have
all
heard
phrases
like
"sowing
seeds
of
doubt",
or
"seeds
of
discontent."
We
can
make
a
conscious
choice
whether
to
allow
them
to
take
root
in
our
lives
or
cast
them
out
of
our
garden.
Negative
energy
and
words,
like
weeds,
will
spread
quickly
if
left
unchecked.
Find
a
good
"weed
killer"-a
book,
an
inspirational
story,
a
positive
statement-to
help
you
get
rid
of
the
thoughts
that
ruin
the
beauty
of
your
garden.
Plant
as
many
seeds
of
joy
and
beauty
as
you
can-in
your
own
life
and
in
the
lives
of
the
people
with
whom
you
live
and
work
every
day.
Grow
a
gratitude
garden,
a
peace
garden
and
a
dream
garden.
Tend
to
them
daily.
If
you
give
them
time
and
energy,
you
will
have
a
rich
harvest
of
success,
happiness
and
peace
of
mind.
28.Why
does
the
author
tell
us
the
benefits
of
growing
a
garden?
A.To
ask
us
to
love
gardening.
B.To
show
his
love
for
gardening.
C.To
lead
in
to
the
topic
of
the
text.
D.To
show
what
a
life
garden
is
like.
29.In
what
way
is
our
life
garden
similar
to
a
beautiful
garden?
A.It
is
in
change
all
the
time.
B.It
can
make
us
happy
and
grateful
in
life.
C.It
needs
our
conscious
effort
and
constant
care.
D.It
is
full
of
both
positive
energy
and
negative
energy.
30.Why
does
the
author
compare
negative
energy
and
words
to
weeds?
A.They
are
a
natural
part
of
life.
B.They
are
difficult
to
remove.
C.They
are
often
left
unchecked.
D.They
need
to
be
removed
before
they
spread.
31.Which
of
the
following
can
be
regarded
as
a
weed
killer?
A.Reading
a
dull
book.
B.Relieving
our
discontent.
C.Having
positive
self-talks.
D.Pulling
weeds

have

them.

for
prisoners
who
suffer
from
claustrophobia(幽闭恐怖症).
Designers
have
painted
the
frames
yellow,
which
researchers
say
is
a
calming
color.
Other
cells
contain
a
royal
blue
line
because
psychologists
believe
that

is
likely
to
encourage
truthfulness.

Designers
and
psychologists
have
worked
for
years
on
color.
Blue
is
said
to
suggest
trust,
efficiency,
duty,
logic,
coolness,
thinking
and
calm.
It
also
suggests
coldness
and
unfriendliness.
It
is
thought
that
strong
blues
will
stimulate
clear
thought
and
lighter,
soft
colors
will
calm
the
mind
and
aid
concentration.
Yellow
is
linked
with
confidence,
self-respect
and
friendliness.
Get
the
color
wrong
and
it
could
cause
fear,
depression
and
anxiety,
but
the
right
yellow
can
lift
spirits
and
self-respect.
Ingrid
Collins,
a
psychologist
who
specializes
in
the
effects
of
color,said
that
color
was
an
“energy
force”,.
She
said:
“Blue
does
enhance
communication
but
I
am
not
sure
it
would
enhance
truthful
communication.”
Yellow,
she
said,
affected
the
mind.
Red,
on
the
other
hand,
should
never
be
considered
because
it
could
increase
aggression.
Mrs.
Collins
praised
the
designers
for
using
colors
in
the
cells.

第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分)
Peer
pressure
is
the
phenomenon
where
we
tend
to
get
influenced
by
the
lifestyles
and
the
ways
of
thinking
of
our
peers.
Peer
pressure
can
prove
beneficial
but
it
is
often
observed
to
have
negative
effects
on
society.
36.
How
does
it
affect
us?
We
tend
to
get
influenced
by
the
lifestyles
of
our
peer
group.
The
changing
ways
of
life
of
our
peers
often
force
us
to
change
our
ways
of
looking
at
life
and
leading
it.
It's
a
human
tendency
to
do
what
the
crowd
does.
37.
When
you
do
not
like
a
particular
idea,
it
is
obvious
that
you
won't
like
to
follow
it.
For
sure,
you
won't
like
to
go
that
way.
But
it
is
your
peer
group
that
may
force
you
to
do
something
you
hate.
In
such
cases,
there
are
chances
that
you
won't
do
well
in
those
things.
38.
You
cannot
become
successful
in
something
you
have
never
liked
doing.
So,
it
is
important
that
you
should
not
lose
happiness
of
your
life
by
giving
in
to
peer
pressure.
There
are
many
teenagers
who
experience
great
pressure
from
their
peer
group
that
forces
them
to
take
to
drinking.
39.
In
such
cases,
being
overly
pressurized
by
their
peers
can
be
harmful
to
their
living.
Some
teenagers
actually
ruin
their
lives
by
giving
in
to
peer
pressure.
40.
Extreme
peer
pressure
may
force
you
to
go
through
everything
they
think
right.
You
adopt
their
tastes
of
fashion,
clothing,
hair,
music
and
general
living.
Then
you
lose
your
tastes
of
life
and
begin
liking
what
they
like.
A.Peer
pressure
is
not
always
bad.

第一节
(共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分)
In
Alsager,
England,
45-year-old
David
Scott
brought
his
infant
son
into
the
backyard.
As
they
41
their
trampoline(蹦床),
they
saw
shadow.
No,
it
was
42
.
There
was
a
wild
animal,
over
two
feet
tall,
walking
through
David's
garden
43
close
to
the
child.
David
reacted
how
most
people
would:
by
shouting.
Anna,
a
primary
school
teacher,
44
her
husband
in
the
yard.
"I
thought
it
was
a
dog
at
first.
But
with
a
bushy
tail,
I
thought
it
might
be
a
wolf."
Anna
later
said.
The
family
had
no
45
as
to
what
the
animal
could
be.
Would
this
wild
animal
46
their
young
son?
As
the
animal
approached,
the
couple
could
only
fear
for
their
child.
Anna
took
photos
of
the
animal,
posted
them
on
Facebook
and
asked
people
for
help.

checked
the

confirmed

"a
little
overweight."
As
a
result,
it
was
believed
that
he
was

Foxes
like
"Shadow"
require

that
the
average
pet
owner
is
not
able
to

The
employees
at
Stapeley

announced
that
they

阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
During
the
Great
Depression
in
the
1930s,
my
grandparents
Milas
and
Mary
Dunaway
lived
well
on
their
small
farm
—
always
busy
with
gardening,
beekeeping
or
one
of
their
many
other
projects.
They
also
owned
a
tiny
country
store.
Almost
every
day,
you
could
find
my
brothers,
my
cousins
and
me
hanging
around
our
grandparents’
place,
eyeballing
Grandmother’s
teacakes
and
other
goodies.
Grandpa,
on
the
other
hand,
was
the
person
we
would
try
to
move
quickly
to
avoid,
because
he
always
had
dozens
of
things
just
waiting
for
us.
One
fine
spring
day,
when
Cousin
Mary
and
I
had
just
planned
a
full
day
of
playing
around
when
Grandpa
saw
us.
“Come
on,”
he
said.
“I
need
you
to
help
plant
soybeans(大豆)
.”
We
were
a
little
afraid
of
him,
so
we
had
to
follow
along.
The
field,
which
wasn’t
really
very
big,
looked
like
a
hundred
acres(英亩)to
Mary
and
me.
Grandpa
showed
us
how
he
wanted
the
soybeans
dropped
into
the
furrow(犁沟)
he
made
in
each
row.
This
was
fun
for
a
few
minutes,
but
we
quickly
got
tired
of
dropping
soybean
after
soybean,
evenly
spaced,
into
the
soil.
The
job
seemed
endless.
When
we
began
dropping
the
soybeans
too
thickly,
he
would
correct
us.
Under
the
watchful
eye
of
Grandpa,
we
planted
carefully
behind
him,
soybean
after
soybean,
slowly
down
the
rows.
But
as
he
began
to
trust
us
to
do
it
right,
Grandpa
worked
his
way
a
good
distance
ahead
of
us.
Suddenly,
as
we
looked
toward
him,
Mary
and
I
noticed
a
hollow
stump(空心的树桩)
up
ahead
that
had
not
been
cleared
from
the
field.
That’s
when
a
trick
started.
We
looked
at
the
soybeans,
looked
at
the
stump
and
looked
at
Grandpa.
Walking
slowly
and
heavily
along,
one
tiny
soybean
at
a
time,
we
came
near
to
the
stump.
Once
we
reached
it
we
quickly
put
more
than
a
gallon
of
soybeans
into
the
stump
and
began
covering
the
whole
thing
with
dirt.
Just
then
Grandpa
turned
and
looked
our
way.

And?

Oh,
yes.
Sometimes
there
will
be
gaps
in
your
notes,
you
can
exchange
notes
with
a
classmate
to
fill
them
in
right
after
the
class

your
memory
is
fresh.
I
was

that
just
now.
M:
Eh.
W:
Hey!
What
are
you
doing?
You
are
not
looking
at
me!
M:
Me?
Ha!
I’m
taking
notes,
of
course.
W:
Well…
OK,
and
one
last
thing
you
have

When
I
was
eight
years
old,
one
day,
my
father
took
my
brother
and
me
on
a
picnic
beside
a
river.
When
we
arrived
there,
my
father
told
us
the
river
was
very
dangerous.
He
made
us
promise
not
to
walk
up
to
it.
But
I
was
too
curious
about
it.
I
thought
there
must
be
kinds
of
fish
in
the
river.
So
I
did
not
keep
my
promise.
I
walked
into
the
river
and
saw
many
fish.
When
I
wanted
to
catch
a
fish,
I
fell
down.
Because
the
river
was
very
deep,
I
could
not
stand
or
touch
the
bottom.
I
cried
out
loudly,
but
nobody
was
there,
except
my
brother
Danny.
My
father
had
gone
to
search
for
some
wood.
Danny
was
very
scared.
He
didn't
know
what
he
could
do,
because
he
was
two
years
younger
than
me.
He
jumped
in,
but
that
just
made
the
situation
worse,
because
he
was
even
shorter
than
me
and
he
couldn't
swim.
Both
of
us
cried
out.
Fortunately,
there
was
a
farmer
who
passed
by.
He
saved
us
before
our
father
came
back.

In
2015,
Chennai
was
destroyed
by
one
of
the
worst
floods
in
over
a
century,
leaving
thousands
without
food,
water
and
supplies.
During
the
flood,
many
heroes
arose,
one
of
whom
was
Santosh,
a
young
man
who
owned
a
take-out
restaurant
in
Chennai.
When
the
first
flood
hit
in
November,
he
got
a
call
from
a
company
called
Naga
Rava.
The
company
asked
him
to
prepare
5,000
packets
of
food
and
give
them
to
the
flood
victims.
He,
with
his
partners,
took
the
order,
cooked
for
14
hours
and
delivered(递送)
them.
But
that
night,
as
they
sat
together
discussing
the
event
of
the
day,
they
actually
felt
ashamed(羞愧).
“Here
was
a
man
not
even
from
Chennai
and
he
was
going
out
of
his
way
to
help
the
affected
people.
We,
while
living
here,
had
not
really
done
anything
ourselves
for
our
own
people,”
said
Santosh
later.
He
then
began
the
groundwork
for
a
collection
to
help
cook
more
dishes.
Little
did
he
know
that
the
November
flood
was
just
the
beginning,
and
the
real
show
was
about
to
begin.
The
December
flood
affected
them
all.
His
own
house
got
flooded
and
his
family
was
trapped
on
the
second
floor.
They
lost
phone
connection
and
electricity.
In
spite
of
this,
Santosh
went
back
out
into
the
flood,
creating
a
kitchen
and
preparing
food
all
by
himself
for
the
victims.
He
did
not
sleep
for
four
days,
taking
a
one-hour
break
every
day
as
he
kept
on
cooking.
As
word
got
out
about
this
man’s
effort,
others
stepped
out
to
join
him.
From
children
to
the
elderly,
strangers
came
to
help
him
in
cooking,
packing
and
transporting
food.
Up
to
300
volunteers
worked
together
to
make
it
all
happen.
By
the
time
the
fourth
day
finally
came
to
an
end,
Santosh
and
his
team
had
prepared
170,000
food
boxes
and
delivered
them
to
people
in
need.
24.What
inspired
Santosh
to
help
the
affected
people?

skills.

kindness
of
a
stranger.
D.The

from
his
partners.
25.What

real
show”
in
the
third
paragraph
refer
to?

For
The
Affected
【答案】
这是一篇记叙文。文章讲述了在金奈发生一个多世纪以来最严重的洪灾期间,Santosh和一些好心人准备了170
000份盒饭救援灾区的故事。
24.C
推理判断题。根据第二段的内容,“Here
was
a
man
not
even
from
Chennai
and
he
was
going
out
of
his
way
to
help
the
affected
people.
We,
while
living
here,
had
not
really
done
anything
ourselves
for
our
own
people”(他不是一个Chennai的人,却特意地去帮助这些受影响的人。然而,我们这些居住在这里的人,却还没有为我们的人做任何事情)可知,是一个陌生人的善举激励Santosh帮助灾民。故选C。
25.B
词句猜测题。根据第三段中的“Little
did
he
know
that
the
November
flood
was
just
the
beginning,
and
the
real
show
was
about
to
begin.
The
December
flood
affected
them
all.”(他不知道11月份的洪水只是个开始,而真正的表演才即将开始。12月份的洪水影响到了所有人)可知,12月份的洪水比11月份造成的后果严重,所以此处的“the
real
show”指的是12月更严重的洪水。故选B。
26.C
推理判断题。根据全文内容可知,Santosh的家也遭受了洪水,但是他依然去帮助其他受灾的人们。这说明他无私且乐于助人。故选C。
27.D标题判断题。本文主要讲述了在金奈发生了严重的洪灾期间,Santosh和一些好心人准备了170
000份盒饭救援灾区的故事,所以D项适合作本文的标题。故选D。

This
spring,
you
may
be
fortunate
enough
to
have
good
weather,
a
small
piece
of
earth
and
the
energy,
enthusiasm
and
inspiration
to
plant
a
garden.
There
is
nothing
better
to
shake
off
the
boredom
and
dullness
of
winter
than
to
dig
in
the
earth,
plant
some
seeds
and
watch
them
grow.
A
small
garden
can
produce
something
extra
fresh
for
dinner,
flowers
for
the
table
and
a
feeling
of
accomplishment.
It
is
work,
but
it
is
ever
so
rewarding.
What
about
your
life
garden?
Just
as
a
beautiful
garden
is
a
work
in
progress,
so
is
the
garden
in
your
mind.
It
takes
conscious
effort,
planning,
constant
nurturing(培育)
and
weeding
to
grow
a
garden.
What
have
you
planted?
What
have
you
allowed
to
take
root?
Is
your
life
the
out-picturing
of
a
well
laid
out
garden
or
a
jumble
of
plants,
trees
and
weeds
whose
seeds
were
blown
your
way
and
took
root?
We
have
all
heard
phrases
like
"sowing
seeds
of
doubt",
or
"seeds
of
discontent."
We
can
make
a
conscious
choice
whether
to
allow
them
to
take
root
in
our
lives
or
cast
them
out
of
our
garden.
Negative
energy
and
words,
like
weeds,
will
spread
quickly
if
left
unchecked.
Find
a
good
"weed
killer"-a
book,
an
inspirational
story,
a
positive
statement-to
help
you
get
rid
of
the
thoughts
that
ruin
the
beauty
of
your
garden.
Plant
as
many
seeds
of
joy
and
beauty
as
you
can-in
your
own
life
and
in
the
lives
of
the
people
with
whom
you
live
and
work
every
day.
Grow
a
gratitude
garden,
a
peace
garden
and
a
dream
garden.
Tend
to
them
daily.
If
you
give
them
time
and
energy,
you
will
have
a
rich
harvest
of
success,
happiness
and
peace
of
mind.
28.Why

for
gardening.
C.To
lead
in
to
the
topic
of
the
text.
D.To
show
what
a
life
garden
is
like.
29.In
what
way
is
our
life
garden
similar
to
a
beautiful
garden?
A.It
is
in
change
all
the
time.
B.It
can
make
us
happy
and
grateful
in
life.
C.It
needs
our
conscious
effort
and
constant
care.
D.It
is
full
of
both
positive
energy
and
negative
energy.
30.Why
does
the
author
compare
negative
energy
and
words
to
weeds?
A.They
are
a
natural
part
of
life.
B.They
are
difficult
to
remove.
C.They
are
often
left
unchecked.
D.They
need
to
be
removed
before
they
spread.
31.Which
of
the
following
can
be
regarded
as
a
weed
killer?
A.Reading
a
dull
book.
B.Relieving
our
discontent.
C.Having
positive
self-talks.
D.Pulling
weeds
in
the
garden.
【答案】
这是一篇议论文。鲜花盛开的花园让我们心旷神怡,而如何让我们心灵的花园也鲜花盛开,让我们欢欣而宁静呢?
28.C
推理判断题。根据第一段的主要内容,和第二段的What
about
your
life
garden?
(那么你生命的花园呢?)可推测,作者通过描述花园带给人们的愉悦而引出“生命的花园”,即通过类比引出本文的主题。C.
To
lead
in
to
the
topic
of
the
text.
(为了引出本文的主题)符合以上推测,故选C项。
29.C
细节理解题。根据第二段的Just
as
a
beautiful
garden
is
a
work
in
progress,
so
is
the
garden
in
your
mind.
It
takes
conscious
effort,
planning,
constant
nurturing(培育)
and
weeding
to
grow
a
garden.
(正如一个美丽的花园是一项进行中的工作,你脑海中的花园也是如此。它需要有意识的努力、计划、不断培育和除草)可知生命的花园和漂亮的花园一样需要有意识地努力和不断的培育、照顾。C.
It
needs
our
conscious
effort
and
constant
care.
(它需要有意识地努力和不断的培育、照顾)符合以上说法,故选C项。
30.D
推理判断题。根据第三段的Negative
energy
and
words,
like
weeds,
will
spread
quickly
if
left
unchecked.
(消极的能量和话语就像杂草一样,如果不加以控制,就会迅速蔓延。)可推测作者认为消极的能量和话语在散布之前就应该像杂草一样被除去。D.
They
need
to
be
removed
before
they
spread.
(在散布之前,他们就应该被除去)符合以上推测,故选D项。
31.C
推理判断题。根据第三段的Find
a
good
"weed
killer"-a
book,
an
inspirational
story,
a
positive
statement-to
help
you
get
rid
of
the
thoughts
that
ruin
the
beauty
of
your
garden.可知一本书、一个鼓舞人心的故事、一个积极的陈述都是好的“除草剂”。因此推断C.
Having
positive
self-talks.
(有积极的自我对话)属于“一个积极的陈述”,故选C项。

Yellow,

Red,

it
could

33.D
细节理解题。根据最后一段的“Red,
on
the
other
hand,
should
never
be
considered
because
it
could
increase
aggression.(
另一方面,永远不应该考虑红色,因为它会增加侵略性。)”可知,牢房中不应该使用红色。根据最后一段的最后两句“Gwent
is
not
the
first
British
force
to
experiment
with
colour
to
calm
down
or
persuade
prisoners
to
co-operate.”可知,在牢房中使用粉色可以使人放松;根据第六段的“the
right
yellow
can
lift
spirits
and
self-respect”可知,正确的黄色可以振奋精神和自尊;根据第三段的“Other
cells
contain
a
royal
blue
line
because
psychologists
believe
that
the
color
is
likely
to
encourage
truthfulness.”可知,蓝色可以鼓励诚实,故粉色,黄色和蓝色都可以使用,仅有红色不可以。故选D。
34.A
细节理解题。根据第四段第一句“The
station
has
31
cells,
including
12
with
a
“live
scan"
system
for
drunken
or
disturbed
prisoners,
which
detects
the
rise
and
fall
of
their
chest.”可知,该监狱共有31个囚室,其中12个囚室装有“实时扫描”系统,遇到情况就会向狱警发出警报,故选A。
35.C
主旨大意题。根据第三段的“Other
cells
contain
a
royal
blue
line
because
psychologists
believe
that
the
color
is
likely
to
encourage
truthfulness.(
其他牢房里有一条皇家蓝线,因为心理学家认为这种颜色可能会鼓励诚实)”以及最后一段的“Mrs.
Collins
praised
the
designers
for
using
colors
in
the
cells.(
柯林斯女士称赞设计师在牢房里使用了颜色。)”以及上下文内容可知,本文介绍不同的颜色有不同的心理暗示,研究者们利用这一原理为监狱配备不同的颜色,从心理上影响罪犯。因此推断本文主要讲述监狱里颜色的使用影响着犯罪的心理。故选C。
第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分)
Peer
pressure
is
the
phenomenon
where
we
tend
to
get
influenced
by
the
lifestyles
and
the
ways
of
thinking
of
our
peers.
Peer
pressure
can
prove
beneficial
but
it
is
often
observed
to
have
negative
effects
on
society.
36.
How
does
it
affect
us?
We
tend
to
get
influenced
by
the
lifestyles
of
our
peer
group.
The
changing
ways
of
life
of
our
peers
often
force
us
to
change
our
ways
of
looking
at
life
and
leading
it.
It's
a
human
tendency
to
do
what
the
crowd
does.
37.
When
you
do
not
like
a
particular
idea,
it
is
obvious
that
you
won't
like
to
follow
it.
For
sure,
you
won't
like
to
go
that
way.
But
it
is
your
peer
group
that
may
force
you
to
do
something
you
hate.
In
such
cases,
there
are
chances
that
you
won't
do
well
in
those
things.
38.
You
cannot
become
successful
in
something
you
have
never
liked
doing.
So,
it
is
important
that
you
should
not
lose
happiness
of
your
life
by
giving
in
to
peer
pressure.
There
are
many
teenagers
who
experience
great
pressure
from
their
peer
group
that
forces
them
to
take
to
drinking.
39.
In
such
cases,
being
overly
pressurized
by
their
peers
can
be
harmful
to
their
living.
Some
teenagers
actually
ruin
their
lives
by
giving
in
to
peer
pressure.
40.
Extreme
peer
pressure
may
force
you
to
go
through
everything
they
think
right.
You
adopt
their
tastes
of
fashion,
clothing,
hair,
music
and
general
living.
Then
you
lose
your
tastes
of
life
and
begin
liking
what
they
like.
A.Peer
pressure
is
not
always
bad.
B.So
what
is
negative
peer
pressure?
C.Peer
pressure
can
lead
to
a
loss
of
individuality.
D.Things
you
do
not
enjoy
doing
cannot
bring
you
success.
E.
However,
following
your
peers
blindly
leaves
a
negative
effect
on
your
life.
F.
They
may
even
enjoy
something
as
harmful
as
drug
use
because
of
peer
pressure.
G.
However,
the
good
effect
of
the
crowd
is
greater
during
your
teen
years.
【答案】
本文是说明文。文章主要讲了同龄人压力的严重性,并且举了几个例子进行详细阐述。
36.根据原文下文的描述,主要都是在讲同伴压力的负面影响,所以这里应该是讲负面影响的内容,结合第一段“How
does
it
affect
us?(它对我们有什么影响?)”,可知此处是两个问句。B选项“那么什么是负面同伴压力呢?”符合题意。故选B项。
37.根据文章第二段“It's
a
human
tendency
to
do
what
the
crowd
does.(做大众做的事是人类的一种倾向)”可知,这一段说的是周围的人所做的事对我们是有影响的。E选项“但是,盲目跟随同龄人会对您的生活产生负面影响。”符合题意。故选E项。
38.根据空后“You
cannot
become
successful
in
something
you
have
never
liked
doing(你不可能在你不喜欢做的事情上成功)”和整段可知,这里说的是做不喜欢的事情很难成功。D选项“你不喜欢做的事情不会给你带来成功。”符合题意。故选D项。
39.根据空后“In
such
cases,
being
overly
pressurized
by
their
peers
can
be
harmful
to
their
living.(在这种情况下,被同龄人过度施压可能对他们的生活有害)”和这一段开头说的同龄人受到压力会去喝酒,故F选项“由于同龄人的压力,他们甚至可能享受像吸毒这样有害的东西”符合题意。故选F项。
40.根据最后一段“Then
you
lose
your
tastes
of
life
and
begin
liking
what
they
like.(然后你失去了生活的品味,开始喜欢他们喜欢的东西)”可知,前文说的是人们去模仿其他人的音乐、衣服等,让他们没有了主见。故C选项“同伴压力会导致个性的丧失。”符合题意。故选C项。

这是一篇说明文。文章讲述了健康的环境可以保持自然的平衡,但人类在破坏环境。我们应该遵守自然法则来利用自然,保护环境。
56.考查形容词。名词surroundings需要形容词来修饰,此空用形容词作定语。故填natural。
57.考查时态。此处缺少谓语动词,讲的是客观事实,应用一般现在时,主语Healthy
environment是单数,谓语也用单数,应用helps,本句由not
only…but
(also)连接两个谓语动词,keeps和helps是谓语。故填helps。
58.考查定语从句关系词。此处是非限制性定语从句,先行词是a
man-made
environment,指物,关系词在从句中作主语,that不能引导非限制性定语从句,应用关系代词which。故填which。
59.考查现在分词。本句已有谓语are
spoiling,且无连词,此空用非谓语形式,主语some
man-made
technological
advancements和动词disturb是主谓关系,应用现在分词(doing)表主动,作状语。故填disturbing。
60.考查名词。as
well
as(也)连接两个一样的语法结构,此处应用名词形式,构成名词短语existence
of
life,和our
lives一样,作动词keep的宾语。故填existence。
61.考查代词。本句意为“如果我们做了任何违背自然规律的错误的事情,它会扰乱整个环境。”此处用代词it指代上文提及的“任何违背自然规律的错事”,it可指代上文已提及的事情。故填it。
62.考查过去分词。本句意为“由于人类的一些恶劣和自私的行为,我们的环境正在受到/被影响。”get
done
意为“(主语)被……”,应用过去分词表被动。故填affected。
63.考查介词。固定搭配to
a
degree,意为“在某种程度上”,应用介词to。故填to。
64.考查副词。该空修饰动词fulfill,用副词。故填basically。
65.考查名词的数。本句意为“我们不应该挑战我们的自然资源,通过遵守自然法则,应该珍惜和利用它们。”此处指自然资源,固定搭配natural
resources,应用名词复数resources。故填resources。

As
we
all
know,
animals
not
only
make
our

第二节(满分25分)
阅读下面材料,
根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,
使之构成一篇完整的短文。
阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
During
the
Great
Depression
in
the
1930s,
my
grandparents
Milas
and
Mary
Dunaway
lived
well
on
their
small
farm
—
always
busy
with
gardening,
beekeeping
or
one
of
their
many
other
projects.
They
also
owned
a
tiny
country
store.
Almost
every
day,
you
could
find
my
brothers,
my
cousins
and
me
hanging
around
our
grandparents’
place,
eyeballing
Grandmother’s
teacakes
and
other
goodies.
Grandpa,
on
the
other
hand,
was
the
person
we
would
try
to
move
quickly
to
avoid,
because
he
always
had
dozens
of
things
just
waiting
for
us.
One
fine
spring
day,
when
Cousin
Mary
and
I
had
just
planned
a
full
day
of
playing
around
when
Grandpa
saw
us.
“Come
on,”
he
said.
“I
need
you
to
help
plant
soybeans(大豆)
.”
We
were
a
little
afraid
of
him,
so
we
had
to
follow
along.
The
field,
which
wasn’t
really
very
big,
looked
like
a
hundred
acres(英亩)to
Mary
and
me.
Grandpa
showed
us
how
he
wanted
the
soybeans
dropped
into
the
furrow(犁沟)
he
made
in
each
row.
This
was
fun
for
a
few
minutes,
but
we
quickly
got
tired
of
dropping
soybean
after
soybean,
evenly
spaced,
into
the
soil.
The
job
seemed
endless.
When
we
began
dropping
the
soybeans
too
thickly,
he
would
correct
us.
Under
the
watchful
eye
of
Grandpa,
we
planted
carefully
behind
him,
soybean
after
soybean,
slowly
down
the
rows.
But
as
he
began
to
trust
us
to
do
it
right,
Grandpa
worked
his
way
a
good
distance
ahead
of
us.
Suddenly,
as
we
looked
toward
him,
Mary
and
I
noticed
a
hollow
stump(空心的树桩)
up
ahead
that
had
not
been
cleared
from
the
field.
That’s
when
a
trick
started.
We
looked
at
the
soybeans,
looked
at
the
stump
and
looked
at
Grandpa.
Walking
slowly
and
heavily
along,
one
tiny
soybean
at
a
time,
we
came
near
to
the
stump.
Once
we
reached
it
we
quickly
put
more
than
a
gallon
of
soybeans
into
the
stump
and
began
covering
the
whole
thing
with
dirt.
Just
then
Grandpa
turned
and
looked
our
way.

playing
in
the
dirt
and
get
back
to
work.
”
After
a
moment,
we
answered
that
we
were
almost
out
of
soybeans.
He
came
over,
checked
our
bags
and
said,
“I
think
I
bought
enough
for
this
whole
field.
”
Mary
and
I
soon
finished
planting
the
remaining
soybeans
and
happily
ran
back
to
the
house.
Grandmother
even
gave
us
candies
as
a
reward
for
our
help.
We
had
gotten
away
with
it!
Our
trick
wasn’t
found
out
until
a
few
days
later,
when
it
rained.
When
the
sun
came
out,
Grand
the
field
to
see
if
his
soybeans
were
up.
Oh,
they
were
up,
all
right-especially
in
one
location.
Hundreds
and
hundreds
tiny
soybeans
stuck
up
from
the
stump.
We
had
thought
we
were
so
smart
that
we
could
fool
Grandpa.
Mary
and
I
were
finally
punished,
and
Grandpa
had
the
last
laugh.
Everybody
must
learn
to
be
honest
from
a
young
age.
