三、阅读理解
A
Last
year
in
the
UK
at
least
45
people
died
and
900
more
were
injured
(受伤的)
in
car
accidents
where
drivers
were
using
their
mobile
phones.Yet
many
people
continue
to
use
them
while
driving
even
though
it’s
dangerous.
Research
has
shown
that
it
is
difficult
to
concentrate
on
(专注于)
driving
and
talking
at
the
same
time.It
can
even
be
more
dangerous
than
driving
after
drinking
too
much.
A
recent
study
found
that
when
drivers
were
talking
on
their
mobile
phones,their
stopping
times
were
30
percent
slower
than
when
they
had
drunk
too
much—and
nearly
50
percent
slower
than
when
they
were
driving
normally.
It
also
found
that
drivers
talking
on
mobile
phones
were
less
able
to
control
their
cars
than
drunk
drivers.
And
talking
isn’t
even
the
most
serious
problem,
but
texting
is.
Unbelievably,
another
recent
study
reported
that
22%of
adults
admitted
(承认)
they
had
sent
a
text
message
while
driving
at
least
once
in
the
past
month.
An
average
(平均的)
text
message
takes
90
seconds
to
write
and
send.
That
means
for
one
and
a
half
minutes
a
driver
is
looking
at
their
phone’s
screen
and
not
at
the
road.
The
arrival
of
new
smart
phones
such
as
the
iPhone
will
only
make
things
worse
as
they
will
allow
users
to
do
more
things
than
ever
before.
Using
a
mobile
phone
while
driving
puts
others’
lives
at
risk.
No
matter
how
well
we
drive,if
another
driver
is
not
careful,we
are
put
in
danger
by
their
actions.
Such
drivers
are
selfish,careless
and
should
have
their
driving
licences
(驾照)
cancelled
(撤销).
There
is
no
doubt
that
mobile
phones
can
be
fun
and
are
useful,especially
when
you’re
in
trouble.But
there
is
no
need
to
use
them
while
driving.
Just
wait
until
you
stop
or
you
will
probably
get
into
trouble
of
your
own.

the
passage,if

to
stop

Why
will
new
types
of
mobile
phones
make
the
driving
problem
worse?
It
will
take
longer
to
send
text
messages.
B.
People
will
want
to
talk
on
their
phones
more
often.
C.
There
will
be
more
things
for
people
to
do
with
their
phones.
D.
People
think
the
new
phones
are
easier
and
safer
to
use.
(
)5.
According
to
the
writer,
what
should
be
done
to
people
who
use
mobile
phones
when
driving?
A.They
should
be
put
into
prison
(监狱).
B.
Their
cars
should
be
taken
away.
C.
Their
phones
should
be
taken
from
them.
D.
They
should
not
be
allowed
to
drive
any
longer.
B
A
long
time
ago,
and
still
in
some
countries
today,
the
dollar
and
penny
did
not
even
exist.
Actually,
trading
a
cow
for
two
pigs
is
still
the
norm
(常态)
for
many
cultures.
So
how
is
it
that
we
get
to
use
paper
and
coins?
The
biggest
challenge
for
ancient
cultures
was
to
have
a
system
that
would
allow
people
to
exchange
products
with
each
other.
However,
the
problem
came
up
when
one
person
was
in
need
of
something
immediately
that
they
didn’t
have
a
product
to
trade.
For
example,
a
farmer
that
needed
wheat
only
had
fruit
to
exchange
but
the
fruit
wasn’t
ready
to
hand
over
for
another
two
months.
This
is
what
started
the
idea
of
a
“common
currency”.
The
farmer
could
buy
what
he
needed
with
“currency”
and
just
as
important;
the
value
of
the
goods
he
was
exchanging
was
standardized.
He
did
not
have
to
worry
about
giving
anything
in
return
now
or
later;
his
deal
was
complete.
Thus
“money”
was
born.
Over
time,
each
country
has
developed
its
own
currency
and
something
that
might
cost
1,000,000
lire
in
one
country
might
be
1
dollar
in
the
US
currency.
Most
countries
also
frequently
use
powerful
political
people
as
the
“face”
of
their
currency.
The
US
currency
is
the
best
example
of
this.
Can
you
name
all
the
presidents
that
currently
appear
on
not
only
paper
money
but
also
coins?
The
real
excitement,
however,
is
the
future
of
how
we
buy
things.
People
have
started
to
use
debit
cards
(借记卡)
that
allow
you
to
pay
using
your
bank
account
rather
than
cash.
That
has
given
way
to
something
called
Mondex.
Mondex
allows
you
to
“wave”
your
card
past
any
special
device
that
can
read
these
cards.
You
no
longer
have
to
insert,
swipe
(刷)
and
then
punch
in
numbers,
which
could
cause
security
problems.
1.
What’s
the
purpose
of
Paragraph
1?
A.
To
introduce
the
topic
of
the
text.
B.
To
explain
what
money
was
like
in
history.
C.
To
tell
us
that
there
was
no
money
long
ago.
D.
To
compare
the
difference
between
a
cow
and
two
pigs.
2.
The
farmer
had
an
idea
of
using
currency
when
___________.
A.
he
had
a
product
to
exchange
B.
he
had
made
a
lot
of
money
C.
he
had
nothing
to
trade
for
what
he
needed
D.
he
would
harvest
his
fruit
3.
Mondex
is
a
kind
of
card
which
can
___________.
A.
keep
you
safe
if
you
are
in
trouble
B.
save
you
a
large
amount
of
money
C.
help
you
trade
safely
and
conveniently
D.
make
you
happy
whenever
you
are
bored
4.
What
does
this
passage
mainly
talk
about?
A.
The
history
of
money
B.
The
trade
in
ancient
times.
C.
The
use
of
money
in
the
world.
D.
New
ways
of

C
It
's
little
wonder
that
plank(平板支撑)
exercises
have
become
more
and
more
popular
in
recent
years.
Planks
require
little
time.
They
are
easy
to
do.
What
's
more,
doing
plank
exercises
often
may
bring
you
lots
of
benefits(益处).
Performing
planks
as
a
daily
home
exercise
before
or
after
school
will
not
only
increase
your
metabolism(新陈代谢);
it
will
also
keep
your
metabolic
rate(代谢速度)
high
all
day
long.
The
muscles
(肌肉)
you
build
by
doing
planks
regularly
will
make
you
burn
lots
of
energy.
This
is
especially
useful
if
you
have
to
sit
in
the
classroom
for
hours
every
day.
A
high
metabolic
rate
will
help
you
lose
weight
and
keep
in
shape.
Have
you
ever
felt
that
when
you
tried
standing
on
one
leg,
you
couldn’t
stand
up
straight
for
more
than
ten
seconds?
It’s
not
because
you
were
drunk,
of
course.
Instead,
it
's
because
your
muscles
weren’t
strong
enough
to
give
you
the
balance
you
needed.
Doing
planks
regularly
will
improve
your
balance.
Stronger
muscles
will
also
help
you
stand
with
a
straight
posture(姿势)
at
all
times.
You
will
also
see
mental(精神的)
benefits.
Just
think
about
it:
You
are
sitting
in
your
chair,
at
home
or
at
school,
all
day
long.
Your
muscles
get
tired,
and
your
legs
get
heavy.
Plank
exercises
will
relax
the
muscle
groups
that
may
cause
stress
in
the
body.
As
a
result,
they
can
have
a
powerful
and
positive(积极的)
influence
on
our
mood.
Considering
all
the
benefits
of
plank
exercises,
will
you
make
them
part
of
your
everyday
life?

now,
you

Some

Tik

Kuaishou
because
they
think
it
is
fun
to
share
short
videos
about
their
lives,
while
others
have
different
purposes
as
well.
A

Elsa.
As

so
I
think

Wen
Nan,

Some

are

buy
them
after
watching,
but
they
should
think
twice.
If
they
don’t
think
carefully,
they
may
regret(后悔)
soon.
Some
short
videos
even
sell
fake
(假)
products,
but
these
sellers

let
you
give
them
back,
or
deal
with
your
