your
thing,
try

by
a
13th-century
prince,
or
check

beaches.
The
Giant’s

For
the

it,

An
eight-year-old
child
heard
her
parents
talking
about
her
little
brother.
All
she
knew
was
that
he
was
very
sick
and
they
had
no
money.
Only
a
very
expensive
operation
could
save
him
now
and
there
was
no
one
to
lend
them
the
money.
When
she
heard
her
daddy
say
to
her
tearful
mother,
“Only
a
miracle
(奇迹)
can
save
him
now,”
the
little
girl
went
to
her
bedroom
and
pulled
her
money
from
its
hiding
place
and
counted
it
carefully.
She
hurried
to
a
drugstore
with
the
money
in
her
hand.
“And
what
do
you
want?”
asked
the
salesman.
“It’s
for
my
little
brother,”
the
girl
answered.
“He’s
really,
really
sick
and
I
want
to
buy
a
miracle.”
“Pardon?”
said
the
salesman.
“My
brother
Andrew
has
something
bad
growing
inside
his
head
and
my
daddy
says
only
a
miracle
can
save
him.
So
how
much
does
a
miracle
cost?”
“We
don’t
sell
a
miracle
here,
child.
I’m
sorry,”
the
salesman
said
with
a
smile.
“Listen,
if
it
isn’t
enough,
I
can
try
and
get
some
more.
Just
tell
me
how
much
it
costs.”
A
well-dressed
man
heard
it
and
asked,
“What
kind
of
a
miracle
does
your
brother
need?”
“I
don’t
know,”
she
answered
with
her
eyes
full
of
tears.
“He’s
really
sick
and
mum
says
he
needs
an
operation.
But
my
daddy
can’t
pay
for
it,
so
I
have
brought
all
my
money.”
“How
much
do
you
have?”
asked
the
man.
“$
1.11,
but
I
can
try
and
get
some
more,”
she
answered.
“Well,
what
luck,”
smiled
the
man.
“$
1.11,
the
price
of
a
miracle
for
your
little
brother.”
He
took
up
the
girl’s
hand
and
said,
“Take
me
to
where
you
live.
I
want
to
see
your
brother
and
meet
your
parents.
Let’s
see
if
I
have
the
kind
of
miracle
you
need.”
That
well-dressed
man
was
Dr.
Carlton
Armstrong,
a
famous
doctor.
The
operation
was
successful
and
it
wasn’t
long
before
Andrew
was
home
again.

An
80-year-old
man
and
his
family
may
soon
get
a
bill
for
the
cost
of
his
rescue
mission.
After
an
all-night
search
by
rescuers,
James
Clark
of
Dublin,
Ohio,
was
found
“not
moving
and
exhibiting
what
appeared
to
be
signs
and
symptoms
on
low
body
temperature
to
the
point
of
not
being
able
to
speak
any
clear
words,”
according
to
a
statement.
Similarly,
in
2015,
a
family
of
four
received
an
about
8,500
bill
after
their
daytime
hike
left
them
lost
in
the
dark
and
requiring
search
and
rescue(SAR).
This
raises
an
interesting
question:
Who
pays
for
the
cost
when
you
get
lost
or
injured
in
the
great
outdoors?
The
high
cost
of
SAR
missions
is
what
prompted
states
like
New
Hampshire
to
pass
laws
that
establish
programs
like
Hike
Safe
to
hold
individuals
more
financially
accountable
for
their
rescues.
However,
some
people
have
called
for
more
strict
laws
to
shift
SAR
costs
off
taxpayers.
They
say
such
a
move
would
ultimately
make
people
take
more
responsibility,
but
it's
a
controversial
idea.
"Society
rescues
people
all
the
time-auto
accident
victims,
home
fire
victims-and
at
far
greater
cost
than
wilderness
hiker
rescues."
writes
Backpacker.
Critics
say
putting
a
price
tag
on
SAR
could
cause
people
to
hesitate
before
calling
for
help
in
emergency
situations.
But
Heggie
says
this
isn't
actually
the
reason
why
the
National
Park
Service
doesn't
charge
for
SAR.
"If
an
agency
such
as
NPS
starts
charging
the
public
for
SAR
costs,
the
agency
essentially
has
to
conduct
SAR
operations.
If
something
goes
wrong
during
the
SAR
operation,
someone
could
lead
to
a
lawsuit(起诉).”
Both
Heggie
and
Kupper
say
the
best
way
people
can
avoid
needing
rescue
is
simply
by
being
prepared,
suggesting
that
people
research
hikes
before
they
go,
pay
attention
to
their
surroundings,
pack
essential
gear
and
not
rely
on
a
cellphone
as
a
survival
kit.
"The
best
time
to
prevent
SAR
incidents
is
when
people
are
still
at
home,"
Heggie
said.
8.
What
happened
to
James
when
he
was
rescued?
A.
He
lost
his
way
home.
B.
He
didn't
dare
to
move
alone.
C.
He
couldn't
express
himself.
D.
He
was
seriously
injured.
9.
What
benefit
does
a
price
tag
on
SAR
have?
A.
To
pay
back
the
rescuers.
B.
To
make
hikers
more
responsible.
C.
To
reduce
outdoor
activities.
D.
To
discourage
hikers
calling
for
help.
10.
What
is
the
reason
for
NPS
to
avoid
charging
for
SAR?
A.
The
possibility
of
being
charged.
B.
The
heavy
burden
of
medical
costs.
C
The
difficulty
in
doing
a
SAR
operation.
D.
The
fear
of
doing
fewer
SAR
operations.
11.
What
is
the
most
effective
way
to
avoid
a
rescue
need
according
to
Heggie?
A.
Packing
necessary
things.
B.
Carrying
a
survival
kit.
C.
Taking
a
cellphone
everywhere.
D.
Preparing
well
in
advance.

Lord
Robert
Winston
was
sitting
on
a
train,
when
he
found
himself
becoming
steadily
angry.
Winston
is
normally
a
fairly
amiable
man.
What
was
driving
him
slowly
crazy
was
the
particular
behavior
of
another
passenger.
Ignoring
the
child
with
her,
the
woman
had
picked
up
her
phone
and
begun
what
would
become
a
very
loud
conversation
filled
with
boring
facts.
Winston
did
try
to
ignore
it,
but
there
is
something
fundamentally
unignorable
about
a
loud,
one-sided
conversation.
It
was
then
that
Lord
Winston
made
a
mistake.
He
began
to
tweet
(网上发)
about
the
woman.
He
took
photos
of
her
and
sent
them
out
to
his
more
than
40,000
followers.
When
the
train
had
finally
arrived
at
its
destination,
Winston
quickly
ran
off.
He
had
had
enough
of
what
he
described
as
her
"rudeness."
But
the
woman
faced
an
unusual
surprise.
The
press
had
picked
up
on
Winston's
tweets.
They
were
waiting
for
her
on
the
platform.When
they
excitedly
showed
her
Winston's
messages,
the
woman's
face
fell.
She
also
suddenly
found
herself
using
just
one
word
to
describe
Winston's
actions:
"rude".
We
find
ourselves
living
at
a
time
of
incredible
rudeness.
Social
media
has
taught
the
world
that
it
needs
to
have
an
opinion,
on
everything,at
all
times.
Reality
television
has
taught
us
to
celebrate
meanness
(不友好),
so
long
as
that
meanness
is
delivered
as
“honesty.”
So
what
can
we
do
about
the
rising
tide
of
rudeness?
Winston
shone
a
spotlight
on
that
woman's
behaviors,
but
he
did
not
confront
it,
and
he
did
not
stop
it.
Instead,
that
spotlight
was
shone
weakly
from
afar,
shaming
her
by
taking
an
almost
rudimentary
(原始的)
form
of
revenge.
Often,
the
trick
to
handling
rudeness
is
far
more
elegant,
and
can
be
done
with
the
gentle
delivery
of
a
sentence
as
simple
as
“just
stop.”
When
we
see
it
happen
in
a
store,
we
must
step
up
and
say,
"Just
stop."
If
it
happens
to
a
colleague,
we
must
point
it
out.
Because
once
a
rude
person
has
had
the
looking
glass
held
up
to
them
and
can
see
their
actions
through
the
eyes
of
others,
they
are
far
more
likely
to
end
that
behavior
themselves.
12.
What
does
the
underlined
word
"amiable"
most
probably
mean?
A.
Selfless.
B.
Open-minded.

13.
Which
of
the
following
does
the
author
agree
with?

pointed
out
the
woman's
rudeness
to
her
face.
B.
Winston
is
actually
as
rude
as
the
woman
with
his
behavior.
C.
The
woman
shouldn't
have
ignored
Winston's
anger
over
her
behavior.
D.
Being
rude
is
widely
accepted
as
being
honest
in
the
society.

phenomenon.

Most
people
update
their
electronic
products
these
days
on
a
regular
basis,
not
because
they
aren't
made
well
and
need
replacing,
but
because
technology
is
so
advanced
that
a
newer
model
often
appears
on
the
market
a
year
later
and
consumers
like
to
have
the
latest
if
they
can
afford
it!
This
means
that
there's
a
mass
of
still
working,
but
outdated,
electronic
items
that
can't
simply
be
thrown
in
the
bin
due
to
the
harm
they
can
cause
to
the
environment
once
they
start
to
break
down.
____16____
Some
people
will
simply
throw
away
their
old
products
without
a
thought,
while
others
will
either
give
it
away
to
a
friend
or
make
some
money
by
selling
it
through
an
Internet
shopping
site,
such
as
eBay
and
the
like.
____17____
Then
they'll
feel
guilt-free
that
it
won't
wind
up
in
a
landfill
and
cause
harm
to
the
surroundings.
____18____Apart
from
protecting
the
environment,
there
are
other
reasons
behind
recycling
and
one
of
them
is
data
security.
Disposing
of
electronic
devices
is
the
best
way
to
protect
customers
from
unofficial
access
to
private
data
information.
____19____
It's
a
complete
waste
to
just
throw
away
outdated
electronic
items
when
there
're
so
many
metals
that
can
be
reused.
Those
in
the
recycle
computers
and
electronics
business
are
onto
a
good
thing
as
disposing
of
e-waste
becomes
a
must
and
a
socially-conscious
world
decides
to
clean
up
their
act.____20____After
all,
it
can
create
jobs
and
make
the
earth
a
safer
and
healthier
place
for
our
children
to
enjoy.
A.
More
environmentally-aware
people
will
find
an
electronic
recycling
unit
to
take
it
off
their
hands.
B.
Reducing
electronic
waste
causes
a
reduction
of
poisonous
elements
in
the
atmosphere.
C.
Also
the
amount
of
resources
available
in
the
materials
thrown
away
is
enormous.
D.
They
may
suddenly
find
themselves
with
hundreds
of
old
cell
phones,
etc.
E.
It
also
offers
economic
and
environmental
opportunities
for
the
future.
F.
So
they
may
end
up
sitting
forgotten
in
a
drawer
and
taking
up
space.
G.
They
have
positive
attitudes
towards
reusing
and
recycling.

When
a
tornado
touched
down
in
a
small
town
nearby,
many
families
were
left
completely
ruined.
One
Sunday,
a
particular
picture
especially
touched
me.
A
young
woman
stood
in
front
of
an
entirely
ruined
home.
A
young
boy,
seven
or
eight
years
old,
stood
at
her
side,
eyes
downcast.
Clutching(紧握)
at
her
skirt
was
a
tiny
girl
who
stared
into
the
camera,
eyes
wide
with
confusion
and
fear.
The
article
that
went
with
the
picture
gave
the
clothing
sizes
of
each
family
member.
With
growing
interest,
I
noticed
that
their
sizes
closely
matched
ours.
This
would
be
a
good
opportunity
to
teach
my
children
to
help
those
less
fortunate
than
themselves.
I
taped
the
picture
of
the
young
family
to
our
refrigerator,
explaining
their
difficulty
to
my
seven?-year-?old
twins,
Brad
and
Brett,
and
to
three?-year-?old
Meghan.
“These
poor
people
now
have
nothing,”
I
said.
“We’ll
share
what
we
have
with
them.”
I
brought
three
large
boxes
and
placed
them
on
the
living
room
floor,
encouraging
the
boys
to
go
through
their
toys
and
donate
some
of
their
less
favorite
things.
Meghan
watched
seriously,
as
the
boys
and
I
filled
one
of
the
boxes
with
canned
goods
and
foods
that
they
no
longer
needed.
Meghan
walked
up
with
Lucy,
her

hugged
tightly
to
her
chest.
She
stopped
in
front
of
the
box,
gave
her
doll
a
final
kiss,
then
laid
her
gently
on
top
of
the
other
toys.
“Oh,
Honey,”
I
said.
“You
don’t
have
to
give
Lucy.
You
love
her
so
much.”
Meghan
nodded
seriously,
“Lucy
makes
me
happy,
Mommy.
Maybe
she’ll
make
that

happy,
too.”

An
eight-year-old
child
heard
her
parents
talking
about
her
little
brother.
All
she
knew
was
that
he
was
very
sick
and
they
had
no
money.
Only
a

the

its

counted
it
carefully.
She
hurried
to
a
drugstore
with
the
money
in
her
hand.
“And
what

asked

C
An
80-year-old
man
and
his
family
may
soon
get
a
bill
for
the
cost
of
his
rescue
mission.
After
an
all-night
search
by
rescuers,
James
Clark
of
Dublin,
Ohio,
was
found
“not
moving
and
exhibiting
what
appeared
to
be
signs
and
symptoms
on
low
body
temperature
to
the
point
of
not
being
able
to
speak
any
clear
words,”
according
to
a
statement.
Similarly,
in
2015,
a
family
of
four
received
an
about
8,500
bill
after
their
daytime
hike
left
them
lost
in
the
dark
and
requiring
search
and
rescue(SAR).
This
raises
an
interesting
question:
Who
pays
for
the
cost
when
you
get
lost
or
injured
in
the
great
outdoors?
The
high
cost
of
SAR
missions
is
what
prompted
states
like
New
Hampshire
to
pass
laws
that
establish
programs
like
Hike
Safe
to
hold
individuals
more
financially
accountable
for
their
rescues.
However,
some
people
have
called
for
more
strict
laws
to
shift
SAR
costs
off
taxpayers.
They
say
such
a
move
would
ultimately
make
people
take
more
responsibility,
but
it's
a
controversial
idea.
"Society
rescues
people
all
the
time-auto
accident
victims,
home
fire
victims-and
at
far
greater
cost
than
wilderness
hiker
rescues."
writes
Backpacker.
Critics
say
putting
a
price
tag
on
SAR
could
cause
people
to
hesitate
before
calling
for
help
in
emergency
situations.
But
Heggie
says
this
isn't
actually
the
reason
why
the
National
Park
Service
doesn't
charge
for
SAR.
"If
an
agency
such
as
NPS
starts
charging
the
public
for
SAR
costs,
the
agency
essentially
has
to
conduct
SAR
operations.
If
something
goes
wrong
during
the
SAR
operation,
someone
could
lead
to
a
lawsuit(起诉).”
Both
Heggie
and
Kupper
say
the
best
way
people
can
avoid
needing
rescue
is
simply
by
being
prepared,
suggesting
that
people
research
hikes
before
they
go,
pay
attention
to
their
surroundings,
pack
essential
gear
and
not
rely
on
a
cellphone
as
a
survival
kit.
"The
best
time
to
prevent
SAR
incidents
is
when
people
are
still
at
home,"
Heggie
said.
8.
What
happened
to
James
when
he
was
rescued?
A.
He

home.
B.
He
didn't
dare
to
move
alone.
C.
He
couldn't
express
himself.
D.
He
was

injured.
9.
What
benefit
does
a
price
tag
on
SAR
have?
A
To
pay
back
the
rescuers.
B.
To
make
hikers
more
responsible.
C.
To
reduce
outdoor
activities.
D.
To
discourage
hikers
calling
for

10.
What
is
the
reason
for
NPS
to
avoid
charging
for
SAR?
A.
The
possibility
of
being
charged.
B.
The
heavy
burden
of
medical
costs.
C.
The
difficulty
in
doing
a
SAR

D.
The

【9题详解】
推理判断题。根据第三段中“However,

【10题详解】
推理判断题。根据倒数第二段的“If

Lord
Robert
Winston
was
sitting
on
a
train,
when
he
found
himself
becoming
steadily
angry.
Winston
is
normally
a
fairly
amiable
man.
What
was
driving
him
slowly
crazy
was
the
particular
behavior
of
another
passenger.
Ignoring
the
child
with
her,
the
woman
had
picked
up
her
phone
and
begun
what
would
become
a
very
loud
conversation
filled
with
boring
facts.
Winston
did
try
to
ignore
it,
but
there
is
something
fundamentally
unignorable
about
a
loud,
one-sided
conversation.
It
was
then
that
Lord
Winston
made
a
mistake.
He
began
to
tweet
(网上发)
about
the
woman.
He
took
photos
of
her
and
sent
them
out
to
his
more
than
40,000
followers.
When
the
train
had
finally
arrived
at
its
destination,
Winston
quickly
ran
off.
He
had
had
enough
of
what
he
described
as
her
"rudeness."
But
the
woman
faced
an
unusual
surprise.
The
press
had
picked
up
on
Winston's
tweets.
They
were
waiting
for
her
on
the
platform.When
they
excitedly
showed
her
Winston's
messages,
the
woman's
face
fell.
She
also
suddenly
found
herself
using
just
one
word
to
describe
Winston's
actions:
"rude".
We
find
ourselves
living
at
a
time
of
incredible
rudeness.
Social
media
has
taught
the
world
that
it
needs
to
have
an
opinion,
on
everything,at
all
times.
Reality
television
has
taught
us
to
celebrate
meanness
(不友好),
so
long
as
that
meanness
is
delivered
as
“honesty.”
So
what
can
we
do
about
the
rising
tide
of
rudeness?
Winston
shone
a
spotlight
on
that
woman's
behaviors,
but
he
did
not
confront
it,
and
he
did
not
stop
it.
Instead,
that
spotlight
was
shone
weakly
from
afar,
shaming
her
by
taking
an
almost
rudimentary
(原始的)
form
of
revenge.
Often,
the
trick
to
handling
rudeness
is
far
more
elegant,
and
can
be
done
with
the
gentle
delivery
of
a
sentence
as
simple
as
“just
stop.”
When
we
see
it
happen
in
a
store,
we
must
step
up
and
say,
"Just
stop."
If
it
happens
to
a
colleague,
we
must
point
it
out.
Because
once
a
rude
person
has
had
the
looking
glass
held
up
to
them
and
can
see
their
actions
through
the
eyes
of
others,
they
are
far
more
likely
to
end
that
behavior
themselves.
12.
What
does
the
underlined
word
"amiable"
most
probably
mean?
A.
Selfless.
B.
Open-minded.
C.
Cooperative.
D.
Mild-mannered.
13.
Which
of
the
following
does
the
author
agree
with?
A.
Winston
should
have
pointed
out
the
woman's
rudeness
to
her
face.
B.
Winston
is
actually
as
rude
as
the
woman
with
his
behavior.
C.
The
woman
shouldn't
have
ignored
Winston's
anger
over
her
behavior.
D.
Being
rude
is
widely
accepted
as
being
honest
in
the
society.
14.
What
is
the
purpose
of
this

A.
To
argue

a
point
of
view.
B.
To
introduce

social
phenomenon.
C.
To

to
a
social

D.
To

【解析】
【分析】本文是一篇夹叙夹议文。文章讲述Winston先生采取拍照上传网络的方式对一位妇女显得无力粗鲁的行为进行报复与回击,但也使这位妇女受到了许多伤害的故事。文章论述了当下人们越来越多的无礼、粗鲁,并用粗鲁回击粗鲁的现象。
【12题详解】
词句猜测题。结合“normally”可知,此处描写的应该是Winston先生平日里通常的行为做法,应是与现在应形成对比反差。根据“Lord
Robert
Winston
was
sitting
on
a
train,
when
he
found
himself
becoming
steadily
angry.(罗伯特·温斯顿勋爵正坐在火车上,他发现自己变得越来越生气)”可知,而现在的Winston先生处于“持续生气”的状态中,说明其平日里是行为十分温和的人。由此推知,amiable?意为“温和的”。故选D。
【13题详解】
推理判断题。根据倒数第二段中的“Instead,

do
your
research
beforehand,定语从句中缺少主语,故此处要用关系代词which。故填which。
【38题详解】
考查连词。句意:在美国,人们是会给小费的:在餐馆和出租车上给15%或更多的小费是很常见的,但对酒店客房服务人员来说,1至2美元就足够了。根据$1
to
$2
is
considered
sufficient
for
the
hotel
room
service
employee与上文
around
15%
or
more
is
common
for
restaurants
and
taxis形成对比转折,可知此处要用转折连词but或while。故填but/while。
【39题详解】

tipping
situation是单数,故要用代词that。故填that。

【42题详解】
考查被动语态。句意:不过,半日游的导游和旅游车司机应该得到大约5英镑或全日游10英镑的小费。分析句子可知,此处是谓语动词,主语Tour
guides
and
tour
bus
drivers和offer之间是被动关系,此处要用被动语态,前面有情态动词should,故用be
done。故填be
offered。
【43题详解】
考查名词。句意:然而,人们有时会给小费来表达他们的感激之情。根据形容词性代词their可知此处要用名词。故填gratitude。
【44题详解】
考查时态和主谓一致。句意:即使在欧洲,小费也因国而异。描述现在的事实,时态是一般现在时,此处是谓语动词,根据主语是tipping,可知此处谓语用第三人称单数形式。故填varies。
【45题详解】
考查冠词。句意:在德国,优质服务通常要在服务费的基础上再加5%到10%。此处要用不定冠词修饰extra

A

With

encouraging

laid

“Oh,

I

“You

Meghan

“Lucy

【答案】The
boys
had
watched,open?-mouthed,
when
their
sister
placed
her
favorite
doll
in
the
box.
Without
a
word,
the
boys
rose
and
went
to
their
rooms
and
came
back
carrying
their
favorite
toys
to
the
living
room.
Astonished,
I
realized

recognized
what
little
Meghan’s
action
meant.
I
think
all
of
them
want
to
make
these
poor
people
who
have
nothing
happy
like
them.
Swallowing
back
tears,
I
pulled
all
three
of
them
into
my
arms.
I
looked
at
my
children
for
a
long
moment.
I
removed
my
old
jacket
from
the
box
of
clothes,
too.
I
replaced
it
with
the
new
hunter
green
jacket
that
I
had
found
on
sale
last
week.
I
hoped
the
young
woman
in
the
picture
would
love
it
as
much
as
I
did.
What
Meghan
did
taught
me
a
lesson
that
the
true
spirit
of
donating
is
to
give
with
your
heart.

【分析】本篇书面表达考查读后续写。
【详解】本文是一篇读后续写。读后续写一般要求学生阅读一篇记叙文,然后发挥想象,运用自己所学的英语知识去续写一篇中心思想跟全文一致、合乎情理的记叙文。本文的中心思想是:作者打算把衣物捐赠给需要的儿童,发现Meghan愿意把自己心爱的东西捐出来,因此深受感动。由此作者得出结论:给予的真正精神是把自己最珍惜的东西捐给别人。注意词汇的挑选和合理使用。为了让行文连贯,可以增加一些句型和短语。以第一人称I书写并注意使用一般过去时态;所续写的部分要有创新性和想象力,不是原文的抄写或胡编乱造,同时,还要带有原文色彩,所续写短文的词数应为150左右。续写部分分为两段,每段的开头语已为你写好。文章表达正确,标点准确。
