1.阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
Zipping
Out
Of
Fear
“Breakfast
time!”
I
quickly
put
on
my
clothes
and
rushed
down
the
stairs.
“Come
on,
we
don't
want
to
be
late!”
My
mom
said.
The
aroma
of
pancakes
filled
the
kitchen,
making
the
room
warm.
I
looked
out
of
the
window.
The
sun
was
out,
making
a
warm
and
bright
morning.
“Today's
the
day,
zip
lining”
My
dad
said,
sounding
very
enthusiastic
early
this
morning.
Today
we
would
go
zip
lining.
The
excitement
built
up
inside
of
me
as
breakfast
went
on.
After
breakfast,
we
set
out
in
my
dad's
car.
Half
way
through
the
ride,
the
sun
grew
hot,
and
the
leather
on
the
seats
burned
my
legs.
I
thought
about
the
trip,
how
my
parents
went
but
not
me.
It
was
my
first
time
experiencing
something
like
this.
I
also
thought
about
my
fear
of
heights,
one
thing
I
tried
to
get
rid
of
multiple
times.
It
got
in
the
way
of
so
many
fun
activities,
like
roller
coasters
at
Kings
Island.
We
were
basically
there
by
now,
the
sun
still
blazing
hot.
We
pulled
up
to
a
big
sign
where
our
instructor
waited
for
us.
“Hi
y'all!”
said
our
instructor
cheerfully.
“So,
have
y'all
done
this
before?”
My
parents
nodded
but
I
shook
my
head.
Our
instructor
went
over
safety
instructions
while
we
each
put
on
a
safety
harness.
I
started
to
get
nervous.
A
never
ending
roller
coaster
of
excitement
and
anxiousness
built
inside
of
me.
I
looked
down
the
cliff.
My
heart
skipped
a
beat
when
the
wind
howled,
blowing
leaves
and
twigs
in
the
trees.
My
legs
started
to
shake.

“Alright
y'all,
time
to

the
trails!”
said
the
instructor
with
too
much
enthusiasm.

My
turn
finally
came.

2.阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事,
My
dad,
George,
only
had
an
eighth
grade
education.
A
quiet
man,
he
didn't
understand
my
world
of
school
activities.
From
age
14,
he
worked.
And
his
dad,
Albert,
took
the
money
my
dad
earned
and
used
it
to
pay
family
expenses.
I
didn't
really
understand
his
world
either:
He
was
a
livestock
trucker,
and
I
thought
that
I
would
surpass
(超过)
anything
he
had
accomplished
by
the
time
I
walked
across
the
stage
at
high
school
graduation.
Summers
in
the
mid-70s
were
spent
at
home
shooting
baskets,
hitting
a
baseball,
or
throwing
a
football,
preparing
for
my
future
as
a
quarterback
on
a
football
team.
In
poor
weather,
I
read
about
sports
or
practiced
my
trombone
(长号).
The
summer
before
my
eighth
grade
I
was
one
of
a
group
of
boys
that
a
neighboring
farmer
hired
to
work
in
his
field.
He
explained
our
basic
task,
the
tractor
fired
up
and
we
were
off,
riding
down
the
field
looking
for
weeds
to
spray
with
chemicals.
After
a
short
way,
the
farmer
stopped
and
pointed
at
a
weed
which
we
missed.
Then
we
began
again.
This
happened
over
and
over,
but
we
soon
learned
to
identify
different
grasses
like
cockleburs,
lamb's-quarters,
foxtails,
and
the
king
of
weeds,
the
pretty
purple
thistle.
It
was
tiring
work,
but
I
looked
forward
to
the
pay,
even
though
I
wasn't
sure
how
much
it
would
amount
to.
At
home,
my
dad
said,
"A
job's
a
big
step
to
growing
up.
I'm
glad
you
will
be
contributing
to
the
household."
My
dad's
words
made
me
realize
that
my
earnings
might
not
be
mine
to
do
with
as
I
wished.
My
labors
lasted
about
two
weeks,
and
the
farmer
said
there
might
be
more
work,
but
I
wasn't
interested.
I
decided
it
was
not
fair
that
I
had
to
contribute
my
money.

3.阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
My
brother,
Brett,
is
seven
years
younger
than
I
am.
When
I
was
six,
my
parents
took
me
on
a
vacation
to
tell
me
Brett
was
coming.
They
made
it
an
event.
Mom
was
worried
I
was
going
to
be
upset.
She
wasn't
sure
how
I
would
handle
a
new
baby
demanding
her
attention.
But
I
was
thrilled
to
tell
her
I
would
be
the
big
protector.
As
it
turned
out,
Brett
didn't
need
any
protecting.
He's
a
hearty
boy.
He's
everything
I
had
never
been.
I
kept
waiting
for
the
day
when
Brett
would
come
home
from
school
crying
and
I
would
march
over
to
some
kid's
house
to
teach
him
a
lesson.
It
never
happened.
Brett
didn't
need
me.
We're
raised
very
differently.
I
was
raised
by
my
mother.
Brett
was
more
of
a
Dad's
kid.
He
grew
up
wanting
to
hunt
and
play
in
the
woods
with
guns.
Everything
Dad
loved;
Brett
loved.
Dogs.
Sports
cars.
Brett
wanted
to
be
Dad.
When
we
became
closer,
Dad
died.
As
soon
as
the
nurse
told
me
Dad
had
passed
away,
I
bolted
from
my
chair
and
ran
to
find
Brett.
He
was
in
the
waiting
room
of
the
hospital,
pacing.
I
rushed
up
and
hugged
him.
I
was
crying.
He
knew
immediately
what
that
meant.
He
sank
to
the
floor.
I
wanted
to
be
the
one
who
told
Brett.
I
don't
know
exactly
why.
I
just
wanted
it
to
be
me;
I
wanted
to
be
there
for
him.
I
had
this
feeling
that
for
the
first
time
in
his
life,
he
might
really
need
his
big
brother.
Right
before
he
died,
Dad
bought
a
brand-new
pewter
(青灰色的)
Firebird.
That
car
was
how
he
showed
Brett
his
deepest
love.
The
problem
was,
after
Dad
died,
we
couldn't
afford
the
car.
The
payment
was
too
high,
as
was
insuring
(给…保险)
it
for
a
teenage
boy.
Mom
told
Brett
we
had
to
sell
it,
which
was
tough.
Understanding,
Brett
gave
the
Firebird
up.
But
it's
another
piece
of
Dad
that
had
slipped
away.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________【答案】Having
made
money
a
year
later,
I
was
going
home
for
Christmas,
an
idea
in
mind.
I
was
going
to
buy
the
car
that
Dad
gave
Brett.
After
several
twists
and
turns,
I
found
the
buyer's
home
and
saw
the
pewter
Firebird
parked
in
the
yard.
It
was
still
the
same
because
of
being
well
protected.
After
I
explained
my
intention
to
the
new
owner,
he
agreed
to
sell
the
car
to
me
at
a
low
price.
Better
still,
I
could
pay
him
monthly.
When
people
asked
me
which
was
the
happiest
of
my
life,
I
always
thought
back
to
that
Christmas
Eve.
When
I
arrived
home,
Brett
rushed
to
me.
Looking
at
this
familiar
car,
Brett
burst
into
tears
with
excitement.
I
was
also
very
happy,
because
the
car,
which
meant
his
love
for
us,
came
back
to
us.
We
hugged
each
other
tightly.
Brett
said
it
was
the
best
Christmas
present
he
had
ever
received.
I
understood
that
family
members
need
each
other
at
all
times.

Harry
was
afraid
of
the
wind,
I
blew
of
his
hat.
I
whistled
under
his
door.
It
made
the
iron
fence
murmur
scary
music.
“How
can
anyone
be
afraid
of
the
wind?”
asked
Harry's
friend
Antony
many
times.
Harry
shrugged.
Antony
always
comforted
him
and
encouraged
him.
Sometimes
that
made
Harry
feel
better.
But
not
for
long.
On
windy
days
Harry
sod
at
his
window
and
watched
Antony
riding
his
bike,
whose
hair
flew
in
the
wind.
He
watched
his
friend
playing
cheerfully
in
the
wind,
wishing
he
weren't
afraid.
One
day
Antony
came
to
Harry's
house
to
play.
“Look
at
my
glider(滑翔机),”
said
Antony.
“It
does
tricks
and
loop-de-loops
when
I
fly
it
outside
in
the
wind.”
“Nice,”
said
Harry.
When
clouds
rolled
in,
the
tree
in
front
of
Harry's
house
swung.
A
garbage
can
top
clattered(发出撞击声)
down
the
street.
Antony
couldn't
wait
to
fly
the
glider
outside
and
invited
Harry
to
play
together,
but
he
refused.
Harry
staved
inside
and
played
with
his
construction
set.
He
pictured
launching
the
glider
with
Antony.
But
when
he
imagined
the
wind
blowing
against
his
face
and
blowing
off
his
hat,
he
shivered.
Harry
drew
pictures
of
Antony's
glider
lifting
with
the
wind.
Gradually,
hearing
the
happy
laughter
and
shouts
of
more
children
outside,
he
felt
sad
to
be
in
his
room
while
everyone
else
was
there.
Harry
began
to
make
a
kite.
He
took
two
sticks
from
his
craft
bin
and
crossed
them.
He
tied
them
together
and
made
a
diamond
shape
with
four
more
sticks.
He
glued
the
colored
paper
onto
the
sticks
and
attached
a
ball
of
string
to
make
a
rudder(方向舵).
He
held
the
kite
up
high,
his
twinkling
eyes
staring
at
it.

Ray
was
caught
up
in
his
thoughts
watching
the
clouds
outside
the
window.
Some
of
the
kids
were
playing
with
paper
planes
and
others
just
chatting
Their
teacher
had
gone
out.
And
when
he
returned
there
was
a
boy
with
him.
Ray
was
suddenly
brought
back
to
earth.
The
boy
was
newly
admitted.
He
looked
so
tired
and
his
clothes
were
ragged
and
dirty.
The
teacher
introduced
him
to
the
class.
The
boy's
name
was
"Richard".
He
went
and
sat
at
a
nearby
seat
behind
Ray.
After
the
class
Ray
and
his
friends
were
chatting
together.
They
heard
the
new
boy's
conversation
with
the
nerd(呆瓜)
of
the
class
Ben.
He
was
saying
that
he
belonged
to
a
low
class
family
and
he
was
really
looking
forward
to
study
hard
and
get
good
marks.
This
caught
the
attention
of
Ray
and
his
friends.
So
they
called
out
to
him,
"Hey
new
boy,
what's
up
with
your
clothes?"Another
called
out,
"Didn't
have
enough
money
to
buy
yourself
some
decent
clothing?
Do
you
have
enough
money
to
buy
food
at
least?"
"And
your
name's
Richard,
Rich
for
short,
kind
of
opposite
of
what
you
are."
Ray
and
his
friends
burst
out
laughing.
Richard
felt
embarrassed
and
he
went
away
with
Ben.
The
next
day
the
same
thing
happened.
They
were
taunting(奚落)
him.
During
the
evening,
Ray
was
taking
a
walk
across
the
street.
He
saw
Richard,
who
was
feeding
a
piece
of
bread
to
a
puppy
which
was
tied
to
a
pole
in
front
of
a
very
dirty
old
house
as
if
it
had
done
a
terrible
crime
and
was
about
to
be
executed(处决).
The
puppy
was
having
difficulty
in
breathing.
It
was
tied
so
tightly
around
the
neck.
Richard
tried
to
remove
the
rope,
but
as
it
was
about
to
come
out,
a
tall
drunk
man
came
out
from
the
house.
He
grabbed
him
around
the
neck
and
lifted
him
upwards.
Richard
begged
him
to
leave
him
alone
and
said
that
he
wouldn't
come
again,
but
he
was
not
putting
him
down.

6.阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
“What’s
wrong
with
you,
dear?”
said
Granny
Bell
to
a
little
boy,
who
sat
near
a
wall
at
the
back
of
the
house.
He
had
a
book
in
his
hand,
and
tears
were
in
his
eyes.
“We
have
all
got
a
poem
called
Little
Jim
to
learn,”
said
the
boy,
whose
name
was
Tom
Blair,
“and
the
one
who
says
it
best
is
to
get
a
prize
from
the
master.
But
I
don’t
think
I
can
learn
it.”
“Why
not?”
said
Granny
Bell.
“The
boys
say
that
I
can’t,
and
that
I
need
not
try.”
said
Tom
in
a
sad
tone.
“Don’t
mind
what
the
boys
say.
Let
them
see
that
you
can
learn
it,”
said
his
friend.
“But
I
don’t
think
I
can,”
said
Tom,
“it
is
so
lone,
and
some
of
the
words
are
so
hard
I
know
I
need
not
try
for
the
prize.
But
I
should
like
to
learn
the
poem
as
well
as
I
can;
for
the
boys
laugh
at
me,
and
call
me
“Slow
Tom.”
“Well,
dear,”
said
Granny
Bell,
in
a
kind
voice,
“if
you
are
slow,
and
can’t
help
it,
try
to
be
‘slow
and
sure,’
as
they
say.
Look
at
the
snail
(蜗牛)
on
the
wall;
how
slow
it
is!
And
yet,
if
you
watch
it,
you
will
see
it
will
get
to
the
top
in
time.
So
just
try
to
learn
a
few
lines
each
day,
and
you
may
gain
the
prize
in
the
end.
And
when
you
feel
like
losing
heart,
think
of
the
snail
on
the
wall.”
When
Granny
Bell
had
said
this,
she
went
on
her
way.
And
Tom
thought
that,
though
he
could
not
keep
up
with
the
boys,
he
might
run
a
race
with
the
snail.
So
he
decided
to
try
to
learn
his
task
by
the
time
the
snail
got
to
the
top
of
the
wall.

the
summer
house,
watching
his
wife
climb
into
the
car
and
drive
off.
She
was
going
to
the
village
to
get
some
boxes.
He
looked
unhappy.
He'd
done
little
work
on
his
book
and
summer
was
now
gone.
“A
wasted
summer,

he
had
said
to
his
wife.
“Not
wasted,
John,

she'd
said
gently.
“It
has
been
good
for
all
of
us.”
“But
not
good
for
my
work,”
he'd
answered
bitterly.
He
remembered
his
unfinished
book
and
he
asked
Joanna
hopefully,
“Isn't
there
something
else
you
would
like
to
do
instead”
up
her
face
and
said
with
an
unhappy
look,
“Do
we
have
to
go
home
tomorrow,
Daddy?”
“Yes,”
he
answered.
“School
begins
Monday,
you
know.”
She
sighed.
She
looked
small
in
her
swimming
suit.
As
his
old
dog
Bingo,
came
up
and
pushed
against
his
hand,
he
thought
about
a
number
of
things,
that
he'd
had
his
dog
longer
than
his
child,
who
was
almost
nine,
and
he
remembered
that
Bingo
had
been
his
dog
even
before
he
met
his
wife
Doris.
She'd
been
eighteen
then
and
was
now
twenty—nine.
For
eleven
years,
she
had
tried
to
be
as
old
as
himself
and
he
had
tried
to
be
as
young
as
she.
Now
in
anger
he
wondered
if
their
love
was
worth
the
years
of
trying
and
so
often
failing.
The
child
said
“Daddy,
I
can't
think
of
anything
else
I
would
rather
do
than
go
sailing”
This
made
him
more
angry.
He
was
a
poor
sailor
and
had
already
upset
the
boat
once.
His
wife
was
probably
right,
he
thought.
She
said
he
was
always
thinking
so
much
about
his
book
that
he
let
the
wind
and
the
boat
get
the
better
of
him.
And
so,
after
he
agreed
to
take
out
the
boat,
it
happened
again
today.
He
was
so
troubled
with
the
loss
of
time
that
he
let
a
gust
of
wind
turn
his
light
boat
over.
He
went
under
and
was
terrified,
not
because
of
his
own
safety,
but
that
of
the
child.

Emily
White
was
born
seventeen
years
ago
with
so
many
birth
problems
in
her
body.
Some
of
her
organs,
bones
and
muscles
were
out
of
shape.
No
one
expected
her
to
survive.
She
did
make
it
but
with
her
strange
body
figure,
everyone
could
recognize
her,
even
from
a
distance.
In
Emily
White's
hometown,
there
was
a
yearly
performance
in
the
school
auditorium(礼堂).
It
had
been
performed
for
so
many
years
and
actually
had
become
one
of
the
most
important
events
of
the
Christmas
season
for
many
of
the
town's
people.
Many
people
tried
out
each
year
for
it,
but
so
many
were
turned
away.
It
can
only
include
the
most
excellent
people
in
the
field.
Emily
had
a
beautiful
singing
voice.
Last
year
she
went
to
Mrs.
Owens-her
music
teacher
to
ask
to
join
in
the
performance.
Without
letting
her
sing.
Mrs.
Owens
took
a
look
at
Amy's
body
and
said.
"Child,
you
just
don't
fit.
Everyone
would
stare
at
you
and
that
would
make
you
uncomfortable.
It
would
make
them
uncomfortable
too."
Without
singing
a
single
note,
Emily
was
sent
back
through
the
door
of
the
choral
room.
Hurt
and
upset,
she
decided
never
to
try
out
again.
But
Mrs.
Owens
then
retired.
This
year,
there
came
a
new
music
teacher.
Mr
Buttler,
He
heard
about
Emily
and
suggested
that
she
have
a
try.
Emily
didn't
want
to
be
rejected
again,
so
she
hesitated
a
little
about
it.
As
Emily
straggled,
the
door
was
pushed
open
and
Mr.
Buttler
called,
"Emily
you're
next."
Although
kind
of
nervous.
Emily
did
as
Mr.
Butter
told
her
to
do.
Mr.
Buttler
sat
by
the
piano
to
keep
Emily
company.
When
Emily
finished
her
testing
performance,
she
thanked
Mr.
Buttler
and
knew
the
result
would
be
posted
on
the
door
of
the
choral
room
the
next
day.
Emily
couldn't
sleep
that
night.
She
was
suffering
from
the
feelings
that
she
didn't
fit
and
the
great
need
to
be
accepted.
By
the
next
morning,
her
stomach
was
even
in
pain
because
of
stress.

As
is
known
to
all,
the
traffic
is
very
poor
and
heavy.
The
bus
or
the
train
is
really
crowded
Every
time
I
go
home
from
my
company
or
leave
home
for
my
company,
I
have
to
accept
such
a
hard
experience
though
I
have
been
used
to
it.
On
a
cold
December
morning
in
2009,
I
boarded
a
bus
with
my
four
bags
which
were
large.
Luckily,
there
were
two
empty
seats
left.
About
one
hour
later,
a
well-dressed
young
guy
got
on
and
took
the
seat
next
to
mine.
I
was
cautious.
I
would
often
come
across
guys
who
were
eager
to
talk
to
a
girl
travelling
on
her
own.
So
I
was
not
surprised
when
he
spoke
up.
“Where
are
you
going?”
he
asked.
“Rampur
Bushehr,”
I
replied
briefly
and
put
on
my
earphones
to
enjoy
some
music
or
to
avoid
talking
with
him.
He
did
not
bother
me
after
that
as
if
he
had
known
my
idea.
It
started
to
rain
and
cold
water
was
dropping
through
the
roof
right
on
to
my
lap.
Seeing
that,
the
guy
emptied
a
plastic
shopping
bag
full
of
clothes,
which
he
pushed
into
his
travel
bag.
He
then
handed
me
the
plastic
bag.
I
accepted
it
with
a
sheepish(困窘的)
“thanks”
before
spreading
it
on
my
lap.
Minutes
later,
the
bus
broke
down!
The
conductor
announced
we
would
have
to
move
to
another
bus
that
would
reach
us
shortly,
and
that
there
would
be
no
more
buses
after
that,
since
there
had
been
heavy
snowfalls.
All
the
passengers
of
the
bus
got
off
and
stood
on
the
side
of
the
road,
ready
to
rush
into
the
next
bus.
The
conductor
unwillingly
helped
me
get
off
the
bus
with
my
luggage
and
I
too
waited
with
other
passengers.

10.阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
The
summers
in
my
hometown
of
Desert
Springs
were
exceptionally
hot,
and
all
that
people
wanted
to
do
was
nothing
but
swimming
in
the
public
pool.
This
also
meant
that
the
most
coveted
(令人垂涎的)
summer
job
for
a
high
school
student
was
to
be
a
swimming
instructor.
You
got
to
spend
the
whole
summer
in
the
pool
and
it
was
really
glamorous
(有魅力的),
too!
However,
I
did
not
get
a
job
as
a
swimming
instructor.
I
tried
really
hard—I’m
a
good
swimmer
and
I
practiced
my
interview
answers
for
weeks
beforehand,
but
the
pool
offered
me
a
job
as
a
lifeguard
instead.
Being
a
lifeguard
wasn’t
nearly
as
fun
or
glamorous
as
being
a
swimming
instructor.
Mostly,
being
a
lifeguard
meant
sitting
next
to
the
pool,
sweating
in
the
hot
sun,
and
making
sure
everyone
obeyed
the
rules.
“Being
a
lifeguard
is
an
important
job,”
my
dad
kept
reminding
me,
“and
you
have
to
be
one
of
the
best
swimmers
in
the
whole
town.
If
someone
gets
hurt
or
in
distress
in
the
pool,
it’s
your
job
to
rescue
them.”
I
knew
that,
and
I
wanted
to
do
well
at
such
an
important
job,
but
I
was
still
disappointed.
No
one
at
school
next
year
would
be
impressed
with
a
story
of
how
I
sat
in
a
chair
all
summer
and
got
sunburnt.
But
finally
I
took
the
job
anyway.
Once
I
began
work,
I
quickly
learned
that
being
a
lifeguard
was
much
more
involved
than
I
thought.
With
half
of
the
town
at
the
pool
at
any
given
time,
there
were
a
lot
of
people
to
keep
an
eye
on.
I
was
also
still
jealous
of
the
swimming
instructors,
who
I
could
see
every
day
from
my
seat
in
the
lifeguard
chair,
which
was
almost
eight
feet
tall
to
give
me
a
good
view
and
right
by
the
side
of
the
pool.
The
swimming
instructors
always
looked
like
they
were
having
so
much
fun,
giving
their
lessons
and
playing
around
during
their
breaks
in
the
cool,
inviting
water.
One
afternoon,
midway
through
the
summer,
I
was
arguing
with
a
group
of
elementary
schoolers
about
the
no
running
rule
when
the
sound
of
a
woman
shouting
caught
my
attention.
“Carey!
Carey!”
I
glanced
around
and
saw
a
woman
searching
frantically
(疯狂地)
for
something.
Immediately,
my
eyes
went
to
the
pool.

1.阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
Zipping
Out
Of
Fear
“Breakfast
time!”
I
quickly
put
on
my
clothes
and
rushed
down
the
stairs.
“Come
on,
we
don't
want
to
be
late!”
My
mom
said.
The
aroma
of
pancakes
filled
the
kitchen,
making
the
room
warm.
I
looked
out
of
the
window.
The
sun
was
out,
making
a
warm
and
bright
morning.
“Today's
the
day,
zip
lining”
My
dad
said,
sounding
very
enthusiastic
early
this
morning.
Today
we
would
go
zip
lining.
The
excitement
built
up
inside
of
me
as
breakfast
went
on.
After
breakfast,
we
set
out
in
my
dad's
car.
Half
way
through
the
ride,
the
sun
grew
hot,
and
the
leather
on
the
seats
burned
my
legs.
I
thought
about
the
trip,
how
my
parents
went
but
not
me.
It
was
my
first
time
experiencing
something
like
this.
I
also
thought
about
my
fear
of
heights,
one
thing
I
tried
to
get
rid
of
multiple
times.
It
got
in
the
way
of
so
many
fun
activities,
like
roller
coasters
at
Kings
Island.
We
were
basically
there
by
now,
the
sun
still
blazing
hot.
We
pulled
up
to
a
big
sign
where
our
instructor
waited
for
us.
“Hi
y'all!”
said
our
instructor
cheerfully.
“So,
have
y'all
done
this
before?”
My
parents
nodded
but
I
shook
my
head.
Our
instructor
went
over
safety
instructions
while
we
each
put
on
a
safety
harness.
I
started
to
get
nervous.
A
never
ending
roller
coaster
of
excitement
and
anxiousness
built
inside
of
me.
I
looked
down
the
cliff.
My
heart
skipped
a
beat
when
the
wind
howled,
blowing
leaves
and
twigs
in
the
trees.
My
legs
started
to
shake.

【答案】Paragraph
1:
“Alright
y'all,
time
to
hit
the
trails!”
said
the
instructor
with

much
enthusiasm.
My
mom
stepped
up
first.
She
got
hooked
up
to
the
metal
wire,
ready
to
get
pushed
off
the
cliff.
She
jumped
off
the
stool
and
zipped
across
the
metal
line,
the
wind
blowing
on
her
face.
My

gave
me
an
encouraging
smile
before
he
followed
suit.
I
got
woozy.
What

me?
The
sun
kept
beating
down
on
me
and
I
had
to
brace
myself
up.
Since
my
parents
had
made
it,
why
couldn't
I?
Paragraph
2:
My

finally
came.
My
hands
grew
clammy,
and
I
started
to
sweat.
The
smell
of
metal
came
upon
my
hands
from
holding
my
harness.
I
jumped
and
closed
my
eyes,
my
legs
folding
up
in
unison.
All
the
nervousness
went
away
as
soon
as
I
jumped.
I
flew
across
that
wire.
I
looked
down
to
see
the
river
below
my
feet
while
still
hearing
my
family's
faint
cheers.
The
wind
blew
against
my
face
and
I
felt
alive
and
refreshed
from
it.
When
I
reached
the
end,
my
family
greeted
me
with
a
huge
embrace.
I
realized
how
far
I
had
come,
conquering
my
fear
of
heights.

2.阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事,
My
dad,
George,
only
had
an
eighth
grade
education.
A
quiet
man,
he
didn't
understand
my
world
of
school
activities.
From
age
14,
he
worked.
And
his
dad,
Albert,
took
the
money
my
dad
earned
and
used
it
to
pay
family
expenses.
I
didn't
really
understand
his
world
either:
He
was
a
livestock
trucker,
and
I
thought
that
I
would
surpass
(超过)
anything
he
had
accomplished
by
the
time
I
walked
across
the
stage
at
high
school
graduation.
Summers
in
the
mid-70s
were
spent
at
home
shooting
baskets,
hitting
a
baseball,
or
throwing
a
football,
preparing
for
my
future
as
a
quarterback
on
a
football
team.
In
poor
weather,
I
read
about
sports
or
practiced
my
trombone
(长号).
The
summer
before
my
eighth
grade
I
was
one
of
a
group
of
boys
that
a
neighboring
farmer
hired
to
work
in
his
field.
He
explained
our
basic
task,
the
tractor
fired
up
and
we
were
off,
riding
down
the
field
looking
for
weeds
to
spray
with
chemicals.
After
a
short
way,
the
farmer
stopped
and
pointed
at
a
weed
which
we
missed.
Then
we
began
again.
This
happened
over
and
over,
but
we
soon
learned
to
identify
different
grasses
like
cockleburs,
lamb's-quarters,
foxtails,
and
the
king
of
weeds,
the
pretty
purple
thistle.
It
was
tiring
work,
but
I
looked
forward
to
the
pay,
even
though
I
wasn't
sure
how
much
it
would
amount
to.
At
home,
my
dad
said,
"A
job's
a
big
step
to
growing
up.
I'm
glad
you
will
be
contributing
to
the
household."
My
dad's
words
made
me
realize
that
my
earnings
might
not
be
mine
to
do
with
as
I
wished.
My
labors
lasted
about
two
weeks,
and
the
farmer
said
there
might
be
more
work,
but
I
wasn't
interested.
I
decided
it
was
not
fair
that
I
had
to
contribute
my
money.

【答案】The
pay
arrived
at
last.
Although
the
job
was
very?tiring,
I
was
very
happy
in
my
heart
for
I
got
something
from
my
work.
The
toil
of
labor
was
forgotten
for
the
time

I
thought
I
should
have
my

money
and
planned
how
to
spend
it.
“How
much
money
have
you
earned?”
Dad
asked.
I
was
surprised,
reluctant
to
say
my
income.
The
next
morning,
my
dad’s
livestock
truck
started
running.
I
saw
my
father’s
hard-working
figure
and
thought
of
his
words
“A
job’s
a
big
step
to
growing
up”.
I
understood
immediately
what
my
parents
were?worried
about.
They
were
worried
that
I
was
too
selfish
to
give.
I
realized
that
my
labor
was
very
hard,
but
my
growth
and
our
whole
family
had
been
depending
on
the
hard
work
of
my
parents!
Dad
never
complained
about
unfairness!
He
even
seemed
to
think
that
was
fair.
I
thought,
“I’ve
only
worked
for
two
weeks,
but
how
many
years
my
father
has
worked!”
In
the
evening,
Dad
came
back.
I
proudly
took
out
my
own
money
and
handed
it
to
Dad.

3.阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
My
brother,
Brett,
is
seven
years
younger
than
I
am.
When
I
was
six,
my
parents
took
me
on
a
vacation
to
tell
me
Brett
was
coming.
They
made
it
an
event.
Mom
was
worried
I
was
going
to
be
upset.
She
wasn't
sure
how
I
would
handle
a
new
baby
demanding
her
attention.
But
I
was
thrilled
to
tell
her
I
would
be
the
big
protector.
As
it
turned
out,
Brett
didn't
need
any
protecting.
He's
a
hearty
boy.
He's
everything
I
had
never
been.
I
kept
waiting
for
the
day
when
Brett
would
come
home
from
school
crying
and
I
would
march
over
to
some
kid's
house
to
teach
him
a
lesson.
It
never
happened.
Brett
didn't
need
me.
We're
raised
very
differently.
I
was
raised
by
my
mother.
Brett
was
more
of
a
Dad's
kid.
He
grew
up
wanting
to
hunt
and
play
in
the
woods
with
guns.
Everything
Dad
loved;
Brett
loved.
Dogs.
Sports
cars.
Brett
wanted
to
be
Dad.
When
we
became
closer,
Dad
died.
As
soon
as
the
nurse
told
me
Dad
had
passed
away,
I
bolted
from
my
chair
and
ran
to
find
Brett.
He
was
in
the
waiting
room
of
the
hospital,
pacing.
I
rushed
up
and
hugged
him.
I
was
crying.
He
knew
immediately
what
that
meant.
He
sank
to
the
floor.
I
wanted
to
be
the
one
who
told
Brett.
I
don't
know
exactly
why.
I
just
wanted
it
to
be
me;
I
wanted
to
be
there
for
him.
I
had
this
feeling
that
for
the
first
time
in
his
life,
he
might
really
need
his
big
brother.
Right
before
he
died,
Dad
bought
a
brand-new
pewter
(青灰色的)
Firebird.
That
car
was
how
he
showed
Brett
his
deepest
love.
The
problem
was,
after
Dad
died,
we
couldn't
afford
the
car.
The
payment
was
too
high,
as
was
insuring
(给…保险)
it
for
a
teenage
boy.
Mom
told
Brett
we
had
to
sell
it,
which
was
tough.
Understanding,
Brett
gave
the
Firebird
up.
But
it's
another
piece
of
Dad
that
had
slipped
away.

4.阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
Harry
was
afraid
of
the
wind,
I
blew
of
his
hat.
I
whistled
under
his
door.
It
made
the
iron
fence
murmur
scary
music.
“How
can
anyone
be
afraid
of
the
wind?”
asked
Harry's
friend
Antony
many
times.
Harry
shrugged.
Antony
always
comforted
him
and
encouraged
him.
Sometimes
that
made
Harry
feel
better.
But
not
for
long.
On
windy
days
Harry
sod
at
his
window
and
watched
Antony
riding
his
bike,
whose
hair
flew
in
the
wind.
He
watched
his
friend
playing
cheerfully
in
the
wind,
wishing
he
weren't
afraid.
One
day
Antony
came
to
Harry's
house
to
play.
“Look
at
my
glider(滑翔机),”
said
Antony.
“It
does
tricks
and
loop-de-loops
when
I
fly
it
outside
in
the
wind.”
“Nice,”
said
Harry.
When
clouds
rolled
in,
the
tree
in
front
of
Harry's
house
swung.
A
garbage
can
top
clattered(发出撞击声)
down
the
street.
Antony
couldn't
wait
to
fly
the
glider
outside
and
invited
Harry
to
play
together,
but
he
refused.
Harry
staved
inside
and
played
with
his
construction
set.
He
pictured
launching
the
glider
with
Antony.
But
when
he
imagined
the
wind
blowing
against
his
face
and
blowing
off
his
hat,
he
shivered.
Harry
drew
pictures
of
Antony's
glider
lifting
with
the
wind.
Gradually,
hearing
the
happy
laughter
and
shouts
of
more
children
outside,
he
felt
sad
to
be
in
his
room
while
everyone
else
was
there.
Harry
began
to
make
a
kite.
He
took
two
sticks
from
his
craft
bin
and
crossed
them.
He
tied
them
together
and
made
a
diamond
shape
with
four
more
sticks.
He
glued
the
colored
paper
onto
the
sticks
and
attached
a
ball
of
string
to
make
a
rudder(方向舵).
He
held
the
kite
up
high,
his
twinkling
eyes
staring
at
it.

Ray
was
caught
up
in
his
thoughts
watching
the
clouds
outside
the

Some
of
the
kids
were
playing
with

Their

had
gone

And
when
he

Ray

The

He

dirty.
The

introduced
him
to

The
boy's
name
was
"Richard".
He

and
sat

Ray.
After

Ray
and

were

together.
They

Ben.
He
was

came
out
from

6.阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
“What’s
wrong
with
you,
dear?”
said
Granny
Bell
to
a
little
boy,
who
sat
near
a
wall
at
the
back
of
the
house.
He
had
a
book
in
his
hand,
and
tears
were
in
his
eyes.
“We
have
all
got
a
poem
called
Little
Jim
to
learn,”
said
the
boy,
whose
name
was
Tom
Blair,
“and
the
one
who
says
it
best
is
to
get
a
prize
from
the
master.
But
I
don’t
think
I
can
learn
it.”
“Why
not?”
said
Granny
Bell.
“The
boys
say
that
I
can’t,
and
that
I
need
not
try.”
said
Tom
in
a
sad
tone.
“Don’t
mind
what
the
boys
say.
Let
them
see
that
you
can
learn
it,”
said
his
friend.
“But
I
don’t
think
I
can,”
said
Tom,
“it
is
so
lone,
and
some
of
the
words
are
so
hard
I
know
I
need
not
try
for
the
prize.
But
I
should
like
to
learn
the
poem
as
well
as
I
can;
for
the
boys
laugh
at
me,
and
call
me
“Slow
Tom.”
“Well,
dear,”
said
Granny
Bell,
in
a
kind
voice,
“if
you
are
slow,
and
can’t
help
it,
try
to
be
‘slow
and
sure,’
as
they
say.
Look
at
the
snail
(蜗牛)
on
the
wall;
how
slow
it
is!
And
yet,
if
you
watch
it,
you
will
see
it
will
get
to
the
top
in
time.
So
just
try
to
learn
a
few
lines
each
day,
and
you
may
gain
the
prize
in
the
end.
And
when
you
feel
like
losing
heart,
think
of
the
snail
on
the
wall.”
When
Granny
Bell
had
said
this,
she
went
on
her
way.
And
Tom
thought
that,
though
he
could
not
keep
up
with
the
boys,
he
might
run
a
race
with
the
snail.
So
he
decided
to
try
to
learn
his
task
by
the
time
the
snail
got
to
the
top
of
the
wall.

Tom

nor
turn
back,
but
went

And
I

I
would

So
I
just
learned
it

and
did
not
give
up.”
Now,

let
us
give
good

said
the

And
the

rang
with
a
loud,
long
cheer,
for
all
were
glad
that
“Slow

had
got
the
prize
at

根据所给的情节进行续写,
使之购成一个完整的故事。
John
Limon
stood
on
the
steps
of
the
summer
house,
watching
his
wife
climb
into
the
car
and
drive
off.
She
was
going
to
the
village
to
get
some
boxes.
He
looked
unhappy.
He'd
done
little
work
on
his
book
and
summer
was
now
gone.
“A
wasted
summer,

he
had
said
to
his
wife.
“Not
wasted,
John,

she'd
said
gently.
“It
has
been
good
for
all
of
us.”
“But
not
good
for
my
work,”
he'd
answered
bitterly.
He
remembered
his
unfinished
book
and
he
asked
Joanna
hopefully,
“Isn't
there
something
else
you
would
like
to
do
instead”
up
her
face
and
said
with
an
unhappy
look,
“Do
we
have
to
go
home
tomorrow,
Daddy?”
“Yes,”
he
answered.
“School
begins
Monday,
you
know.”
She
sighed.
She
looked
small
in
her
swimming
suit.
As
his
old
dog
Bingo,
came
up
and
pushed
against
his
hand,
he
thought
about
a
number
of
things,
that
he'd
had
his
dog
longer
than
his
child,
who
was
almost
nine,
and
he
remembered
that
Bingo
had
been
his
dog
even
before
he
met
his
wife
Doris.
She'd
been
eighteen
then
and
was
now
twenty—nine.
For
eleven
years,
she
had
tried
to
be
as
old
as
himself
and
he
had
tried
to
be
as
young
as
she.
Now
in
anger
he
wondered
if
their
love
was
worth
the
years
of
trying
and
so
often
failing.
The
child
said
“Daddy,
I
can't
think
of
anything
else
I
would
rather
do
than
go
sailing”
This
made
him
more
angry.
He
was
a
poor
sailor
and
had
already
upset
the
boat
once.
His
wife
was
probably
right,
he
thought.
She
said
he
was
always
thinking
so
much
about
his
book
that
he
let
the
wind
and
the
boat
get
the
better
of
him.
And
so,
after
he
agreed
to
take
out
the
boat,
it
happened
again
today.
He
was
so
troubled
with
the
loss
of
time
that
he
let
a
gust
of
wind
turn
his
light
boat
over.
He
went
under
and
was
terrified,
not
because
of
his
own
safety,
but
that
of
the
child.

Emily
White
was
born
seventeen
years
ago
with
so
many
birth
problems
in
her
body.
Some
of
her
organs,
bones
and
muscles
were
out
of
shape.
No
one
expected
her
to
survive.
She
did
make
it
but
with
her
strange
body
figure,
everyone
could
recognize
her,
even
from
a
distance.
In
Emily
White's
hometown,
there
was
a
yearly
performance
in
the
school
auditorium(礼堂).
It
had
been
performed
for
so
many
years
and
actually
had
become
one
of
the
most
important
events
of
the
Christmas
season
for
many
of
the
town's
people.
Many
people
tried
out
each
year
for
it,
but
so
many
were
turned
away.
It
can
only
include
the
most
excellent
people
in
the
field.
Emily
had
a
beautiful
singing
voice.
Last
year
she
went
to
Mrs.
Owens-her
music
teacher
to
ask
to
join
in
the
performance.
Without
letting
her
sing.
Mrs.
Owens
took
a
look
at
Amy's
body
and
said.
"Child,
you
just
don't
fit.
Everyone
would
stare
at
you
and
that
would
make
you
uncomfortable.
It
would
make
them
uncomfortable
too."
Without
singing
a
single
note,
Emily
was
sent
back
through
the
door
of
the
choral
room.
Hurt
and
upset,
she
decided
never
to
try
out
again.
But
Mrs.
Owens
then
retired.
This
year,
there
came
a
new
music
teacher.
Mr
Buttler,
He
heard
about
Emily
and
suggested
that
she
have
a
try.
Emily
didn't
want
to
be
rejected
again,
so
she
hesitated
a
little
about
it.
As
Emily
straggled,
the
door
was
pushed
open
and
Mr.
Buttler
called,
"Emily
you're
next."
Although
kind
of
nervous.
Emily
did
as
Mr.
Butter
told
her
to
do.
Mr.
Buttler
sat
by
the
piano
to
keep
Emily
company.
When
Emily
finished
her
testing
performance,
she
thanked
Mr.
Buttler
and
knew
the
result
would
be
posted
on
the
door
of
the
choral
room
the
next
day.
Emily
couldn't
sleep
that
night.
She
was
suffering
from
the
feelings
that
she
didn't
fit
and
the
great
need
to
be
accepted.
By
the
next
morning,
her
stomach
was
even
in
pain
because
of
stress.

As
is
known
to
all,
the
traffic
is
very
poor
and
heavy.
The
bus
or
the
train
is
really
crowded
Every
time
I
go
home
from
my
company
or
leave
home
for
my
company,
I
have
to
accept
such
a
hard
experience
though
I
have
been
used
to
it.
On
a
cold
December
morning
in
2009,
I
boarded
a
bus
with
my
four
bags
which
were
large.
Luckily,
there
were
two
empty
seats
left.
About
one
hour
later,
a
well-dressed
young
guy
got
on
and
took
the
seat
next
to
mine.
I
was
cautious.
I
would
often
come
across
guys
who
were
eager
to
talk
to
a
girl
travelling
on
her
own.
So
I
was
not
surprised
when
he
spoke
up.
“Where
are
you
going?”
he
asked.
“Rampur
Bushehr,”
I
replied
briefly
and
put
on
my
earphones
to
enjoy
some
music
or
to
avoid
talking
with
him.
He
did
not
bother
me
after
that
as
if
he
had
known
my
idea.
It
started
to
rain
and
cold
water
was
dropping
through
the
roof
right
on
to
my
lap.
Seeing
that,
the
guy
emptied
a
plastic
shopping
bag
full
of
clothes,
which
he
pushed
into
his
travel
bag.
He
then
handed
me
the
plastic
bag.
I
accepted
it
with
a
sheepish(困窘的)
“thanks”
before
spreading
it
on
my
lap.
Minutes
later,
the
bus
broke
down!
The
conductor
announced
we
would
have
to
move
to
another
bus
that
would
reach
us
shortly,
and
that
there
would
be
no
more
buses
after
that,
since
there
had
been
heavy
snowfalls.
All
the
passengers
of
the
bus
got
off
and
stood
on
the
side
of
the
road,
ready
to
rush
into
the
next
bus.
The
conductor
unwillingly
helped
me
get
off
the
bus
with
my
luggage
and
I
too
waited
with
other
passengers.
