【分析】这是一篇记叙文。本文主要介绍Dawn
Loggins通过自己的努力,考上哈佛大学的故事。
4.【答案】C
【分析】推理判断题。根据第三段“But
it
was
never
in
me
to
give
up,
because
I
realized
that
I
was
never
going
to
be
successful
unless
I
got
an
education.(但我从不放弃,因为我意识到,除非我接受了教育,否则我永远不会成功)”可知,Dawn认为,只有接受了教育才能成功。因此,Dawn不放弃学业的原因是C项“To
get
an
education
to
be
successful(为了获得成功的教育)”符合题意。故选C项。
5.【答案】D
【分析】细节理解题。根据第三段“The
school
bus
driver
learned
about
Dawn’s
situation
and
invited
Dawn
to
move
in

her
family.
Soon,
Dawn
had
a

school
bus
driver(一个校车司机)”符合题意。故选D项。
6.【答案】C
【分析】推理判断题。根据第五段的““There
were
times
when
I
felt
like

would
be
easiest
if
I
gave

”the
18?year?old
said.
“But

her,
she
led
a
difficult
life.
Her
family
was
poor
and
cups
of

Dawn
“studied

afford
to
pay
the
electricity
bill(电费).(甚至在Dawn的家人离开她之前,她过着艰难的生活,她的家庭很穷,一杯面条往往是唯一的食物。Dawn在烛光下学习,因为她的父母付不起电费)”可推断,虽然生活艰难,但是Dawn依然坚持学习,从不放弃,因此推断她是一个很意志坚强的人。因此,C项“Strong-willed(意志坚强的)”符合题意。故选C项。
7.【答案】C
【分析】主旨大意题。通读全文,尤其是第一段“Dawn

homeless
to
Harvard(从无家可归到哈佛)”点明了文章中心。故选C项。
C(河北省保定市20届高三下学期第一次模拟考试)
On
paper,
hydrogen(H2)looks
like
a
dream
fuel.
Coal,
oil,
and
natural
gas
produce
carbon
dioxide,
which
warms
the
earth
when
burned,
Hydrogen
produces
pure
water.
Hydrogen
packs
more
energy
into
less
space
than
a
battery(but
certainly
less
than
petrol).
Also,
empty
tanks(燃料箱)can
be
refilled
with
hydrogen
much
faster
than
refilling
empty
batteries
with
electricity.
While
in
practice,
things
are
trickier.
Storing
a
meaningful
amount
of
hydrogen
gas
requires
pressing
it
several
hundred-fold.
Changing
it
into
the
liquid
form
is
another
option,
but
it
should
be
cooled
to-253C.Both
processes
require
a
heavy
and
strong
tank.
While
a
700
bar
tank
is
acceptable
for
a
city
bus
or
a
truck,
adapting
it
for
use
in
small
vehicles
is
very
difficult
because
the
pressure
during
refilling
would
be
too
great.
The
solution?
Powerpaste.
A
German
team
of
researchers,
led
by
Marcus
Vogt,
have
come
up
with
an
interesting
"powerpaste",
which
can
store
hydrogen
energy
at
atmospheric
pressure,
ready
for
release
when
needed.
It
is
so
named
because
it
comes
in
tubes
and
looks
like
toothpaste(牙膏),
not
in
its
traditional
form
of
gas.
The
main
ingredient(原料)of
the
paste
is
magnesium
hydride,
a
substance
that
reacts
with
water
to
form
hydrogen.
The
escaped
hydrogen
can
then
be
directed
into
a
fuel
cell,
where
it
reacts
with
oxygen
from
the
air
to
produce
electric
power.
Refueling
is
very
simple,
as
instead
of
going
to
a
filling
station,
drivers
and
riders
can
simply
replace
an
empty
tube
with
a
new
one
and
refill
the
water
tank.
Given
that
powerpaste
only
begins
to
break
down
at
temperatures
of
around
250℃
it
remains
safe
even
when
a
vehicle
stands
in
the
baking
sun
for
hours.
However,
we
will
have
to
be
patient.
Just
because
researchers
have
succeeded
in
developing
a
new
fueling
way
does
not
mean
that
we
can
expect
to
see
such
vehicles
on
the
road
anytime
soon.
It
will
indeed
be
several
years
before
this
concept
is
turned
into
reality.
8.As
a
fuel,
what
is
the
advantage
of
hydrogen
over
oil?
A.Refilling
empty
tanks
will
be
more
convenient.
B.It
is
less
likely
to
worsen
global
warming
C.More
energy
can
be
packed
in
the
same
space.
D.It
will
produce
pure
water
for
people
to
drink.
9.What
is
Paragraph
2
mainly
about?
A.The
practical
difficulties
to
use
hydrogen
as
fuel
in
small
vehicles.
B.The
detailed
processes
of
adapting
a
strong
tank
in
small
vehicles.
C.The
differences
in
fueling
between
large
vehicles
and
small
ones.
D.The
tricks
of
building
strong
tanks
in
small
vehicles.
10.The
author
mentions
the
refueling
process
to
show
that
powerpaste
is______________.
A.inexpensive
B.powerful
C.convenient
D.environment-friendly
11.Why
does
the
author
call
on
the
readers
to
be
patient?
A.Powerpaste-driven
vehicles
sometimes
move
very
slowly
on
the
road.
B.Practical
use
of
powerpaste-driven
vehicles
will
not
come
very
soon.
C.Powerpaste-driven
vehicles
can
only
work
after
being
in
the
sun
for
hours
D.It
will
be
years
before
the
researchers
work
out
the
concept
of
powerpaste.
【分析】这是一篇说明文。主要介绍了氢是一种理想的燃料,它与煤、石油和天然气相比所具有的优势以及它取代煤、石油和天然气所面临的困难和解决办法。
8.【答案】B
【分析】细节理解题。根据文章第一段第二句“Coal,
oil,
and
natural
gas
produce
carbon
dioxide,
which
warms
the
earth
when
burned,
Hydrogen
produces
pure
water.”(煤、石油和天然气产生二氧化碳,燃烧时会使地球变暖,而氢产生纯水。)可知,作为燃料,氢比石油具有的优点是它不太可能加剧全球变暖。故选B项。
9.【答案】A
【分析】主旨大意题。根据文章第二段第一句“While
in
practice,
things
are
trickier.”(而在实践中,情况就复杂多了。)及第二段最后一句“While
a
700

tank
is
acceptable
for
a
city
bus
or
a

adapting
it
for
use
in

during
refilling
would
be
too
great.”(虽然700巴的油箱可以用在城市公共汽车或卡车上,但要把它改装成适用于小型车辆却非常困难,因为加注过程中的压力太大了。)可知,第二段主要讲的是在小型车辆中使用氢作为燃料的实际困难。故选A项。
10.【答案】C
【分析】推理判断题。根据文章倒数第三段
“Refueling
is
very
simple,
as
instead
of
going
to
a
filling
station,
drivers
and
riders
can
simply
replace
an
empty
tube
with
a
new
one
and
refill
the
water
tank.”(加油很简单,司机和乘客不需要去加油站,只需用一个新管子替换空管子,然后给水箱加水。)可知,作者提到了加油过程,说明给车辆加膏状氢燃料是很方便的。故选C项。
11.【答案】B
【分析】细节理解题。根据文章最后一段最后两句“Just
because
researchers
have
succeeded
in
developing
a
new
fueling
way
does
not
mean
that
we
can
expect
to
see
such

It
will
indeed
be
several
years
before
this
concept
is
turned
into
reality.”(仅仅是因为研究人员成功地开发出了一种新的加油方式并不意味着我们可以期待在短期内看到这样的车辆上路。实际上,这一概念要成为现实还需要数年的时间。)可知,作者呼吁读者要有耐心是因为这种新动力驱动的汽车的实际应用尚需时日,不会很快到来。故选B项。
D(广东省惠州市2020-20学年2022届新高三第一次调研)
When
you
walk
on
a
sandy
beach,
it
takes
more
energy
than
striding
down
a
sidewalk
—
because
the
weight
of
your
body
pushes
into
the
sand.
Turns
out,
the
same
thing
is
true
for
vehicles
driving
on
roads.
The
weight
of
the
vehicles
creates
a
very
shallow
indentation
(凹陷)
in
the
pavement
(路面)
—
and
it
makes
it
such
that
it’s
continuously
driving
up
a
very
shallow
hill.
Jeremy
Gregory,
a
sustainability
scientist
at
M.I.T.
and
his
team
modeled
how
much
energy
could
be
saved
—
and
green-house
gases
avoided
—
by
simply
stiffening
(硬化)
the
nation’s
roads
and
highways.
And
they
found
that
stiffening
10
percent
of
the
nation’s
roads
every
year
could
prevent
440
megatons
of
carbon
dioxide
equivalent
emissions
over
the
next
five
decades
—
enough
to
offset
half
a
percent
of
projected
transportation
sector
emissions
over
that
time
period.
To
put
those
emissions
savings
into
context
—
that
amount
is
equivalent
to
how
much
CO2
you’d
spare
the
planet
by
keeping
a
billion
barrels
of
oil
in
the
ground
—
or
by
growing
seven
billion
trees
—
for
a
decade.
The
results
are
in
the
Transportation
Research
Record.
As
for
how
to
stiffen
roads?
Gregory
says
you
could
mix
small
amounts
of
synthetic
fibers
or
carbon
nanotubes
into
paving
materials.
Or
you
could
pave
with
cement-based
concrete,
which
is
stiffer
than
asphalt
(沥青).
This
system
could
also
be
a
way
to
shave
carbon
emissions
without
some
of
the
usual
hurdles.
Usually,
when
it
comes
to
reducing
emissions
in
the
transportation
sector,
you’re
talking
about
changing
policies
related
to
vehicles
and
also
driver
behavior,
which
involves
millions
and
millions
of
people
—
as
opposed
to
changing
the
way
we
design
and
maintain
our
pavements.
That’s
just
on
the
order
of
thousands
of
people
who
are
working
in
transportation
agencies.
And
when
it
comes
to
retrofitting
(翻新)
our
streets
and
highways
—
those
agencies
are
where
the
rubber
meets
the
road.
12.Why

13.What
suggestion
does
the
author
give
to
reduce
CO2
emissions?
A.Hardening
the
road.
B.Keeping
oil
in
the
ground.
C.Growing
trees
for
decades.
D.Improving
the

14.What
is
the
advantage
of
this

part
mean
in
the
last
paragraph?
A.Those
agencies
are
likely
to
make
more
rules.
B.Those
agencies
will
change
some
related
policies.
C.Those
agencies
might
put
more
rubber
tires
on

and
highways.”(麻省理工学院的可持续性科学家杰里米·格雷戈里和他的团队建立了一个模型,看看通过简单的硬化可以节省多少能源,最后发现通过简单地加固国家的道路和高速公路就可以避免温室气体的排放)可知,第一段提到“当你在沙滩上行走时,比在人行道上大步行走要消耗更多的能量”就是为了解释一个规则(规律)——在不够坚硬的路面上行走或行驶会消耗更多的能量或能源,故选C。
13.【解析】细节理解题。根据第二段“and
green-house
gases
avoided
—
by
simply
stiffening
(硬化)
the
nation’s
roads
and
highways.”(通过简单地加固国家的公路和高速公路可以避免温室气体的排放)可知,作者建议通过硬化路面来避免温室气体的排放,故选A。
14.【解析】细节理解题。根据最后一段“This
system
could
also
be
a
way
to
shave
carbon
emissions
without
some
of
the
usual
hurdles.”(这个系统也可以是一种减少碳排放的方法,没有一些通常的障碍)可知,这个建议的好处是面对更少的常见障碍,故选D。
15.【解析】词句猜测题。最后一段“thousands
of
people
who
are
working
in
transportation
agencies”和“And
when
it
comes
to
retrofitting
(翻新)
our
streets
and
highways”提到了“成千上万在运输部门工作的人”和“翻新道路和高速公路”,此处承接上文,是说这些道路维护部门对“通过硬化路面来避免温室气体的排放面”这一计划所起的作用,即:这些部门将在实现这一目标方面发挥关键作用,故选D。
第二节(共5小题:每小题2.5分,满分12.5分)(20年全国甲卷)
阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项,选项中有两项为多余选项。

It's

●Invite

One
of
the
ground

of
the

be
that
everyone

always
look
different
when
you
put
them

●Set
a
starting
time.
Maybe
you
say
“go,”
or
turn
on
a
certain

whatever.
____20____.
And

【分析】这是一篇说明文。文章介绍了通过衣物交换来处理旧衣服的方法——衣物交换派对,以及一些具体的流程。
16.
【解析】根据上文“So
what
to
do
with
all
those
perfectly-
good-but-you
're-
maybe-little-sick-of-them
clothes
piled
on
your
bedroom
floor?(那么,该如何处理那些堆在卧室地板上的(看起来)完好但你可能有点厌倦的衣服呢?)”提出关于如何解决旧衣物的问题。下文“It's
the
best
way
to
get
rid
of
your
used
clothes,
score
clothes
from
your
friends,
and
have
a
party
all
at
the
same
time.(这是扔掉旧衣服、从朋友那里买衣服、同时开派对的最好方法。)”提到了具体处理旧衣物的方法。所以空白处应起承上启下的作用,承接上文讲到的问题,启下提出的方法。因而空白处是提出了一种处理旧衣物的好方法。B项“Hold
a
clothing
swap.(进行衣物交换。)”给出了一种处理旧衣物的方法,承上启下,符合语境。故选B项。
17.
【解析】根据上文“Invite
5-10
people
so
you
have
a
nice
selection.”(邀请5到10个人,这样你就有一个很好的选择。)说明了应该邀请的人数。下文“and
there
may
not
be
enough
things
to
choose
from;
more
than
that,
and
it
becomes
uncontrollable.”(可能没有足够的东西可供选择;多于这个数量,它就变得无法控制。)说明多于或少于一定数量的人数将会导致一些麻烦。所以空白处应是针对下文中的“more
than
that”提出的相反的假设,即少于一定数量的人。A项“Less
people
than
that”(少于这些人)提出一种假设,和下文中“more
than
that”相对,说明人数不宜太多,也不能太少,符合语境。故选A项。
18.
【解析】根据下文“They
should
also
prepare
plenty
of
reusable
bags
to
carry
their
“new”
clothes
home.”(他们还应该准备大量的可重复使用的袋子,把他们的“新”衣服带回家。)说明去的时候应该为交换所得的“新衣服”准备袋子。G项“Tell
everyone
to
bring
clean
clothes
in
good
condition.”(告诉每个人带来品相完好的衣服。)说明去参加衣物交换的时候应该带完好的衣服,其中的bring和下文中carry相对,都是为交换衣物所做的准备。下文中的also也是提示词,并且其中They指代G项的everyone。所以G项符合语境。故选G项。
19.
【解析】根据上文“Put
different
types
of
clothing
on
different
surfaces
in
the
room.”(把不同类型的衣服放在房间的不同地方。)指出衣服应该归类放置。下文“Place
a
few
mirrors
around
your
room
so
people
can
see
how
things
look
when
they
try
them
on.”(在房间周围放几面镜子,这样人们试穿时就能看到衣服的样子。)提到了放置镜子的意义。由此可见,本段讲述的是房间里的一些具体的做法,所以空白处一样要提出人们在房间里要做什么。F项“Have
everyone
put
their
clothes
in
the
right
spots.(让每个人的衣服都放在相应的位置上。)”说明每个人应该按照不同类型把衣服摆放在相应的位置,符合语境。故选F项。
20.
【解析】上文“Set
a
starting
time.
Maybe
you
say
“go,”
or
turn
on
a
certain
song,
or
whatever.”(设置开始时间。也许你说“开始”,或者打开一首歌,或者无论什么。)打开音乐或者无论什么,意味聚会开始。下文“And
don't
forget
to
put
out
some
cookies
and
fruits.
Remember,
it's
a
party!”(别忘了拿出一些饼干和水果。记住,这是个派对!)讲到了聚会上应该提供一些派对该有的服务。因而,空白处应是承接上文,讲述聚会期间要保持应有的内容。D项“Just
keep
music
playing
throughout.”(要始终播放音乐。)承上启下,说明在派对上要有音乐,与前文形成意义上的一致,符合题意,故选D项。
第三部分语言运用(共两节,满分30分)
第一节(共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分)

full
moon
of
the

37.【答案】marks

根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,
使之构成一篇完整的短文。
On
July
8,
2017,
eight
members
of
a
family
in
total,
were
enjoying
an
evening
together
at
the
beach
in
Panhandle,
Florida.
As
the
sun
sank
lower
on
the
horizon,
the
two
boys
Noah
11
and
Stephen
8
swam
into
the
waves
without
the
grown-ups
noticing.
Soon
they
realized
that
the
ocean
had
pulled
them
into
the
sea.
After
trying
and
failing
to
swim
back,
they
started
waving
and
screaming
for
help.
But
the
lifeguards
had
been
off
duty
for
the
evening.
The
boys
had
been
struggling
for
several
minutes
when
Jacky
and
Tabatha,
a
couple
from
Georgia,
heard
them.
They
dived
into
the
water
and
s0on
reached
the
two
brothers.
But
after
a
few
minutes,
they
were
all
trapped
in
a
rip
current
(离岸流),a
powerful
one
that
could
sweep
even
the
strongest
swimmer
out
to
sea!
By
then,
some
teenagers
had
heard
the
cry.
One
of
the
teens
rushed
into
the
water,
grabbed
Jacky.
and
pulled
him
back
to
shore.
Meanwhile,
Tabatha
could
feel
herself
being
pulled
farther
out.
She
was
already
exhausted
and
beginning
to
feel
desperate
as
she
was
trying
to
save
both
boys
alone.
Onshore,
Jacky
was
terrified.
A
man
stopped.
“What’s
wrong?”
asked
Shaun,
who
was
heading
back
to
his
car.
“My
wife
is
drowning!"
Brittany
said.
Shaun
immediately
strode
(大步跨)
into
the
water.
But
several
minutes
later,
a
gaping
15
feet
still
lay
between
him
and
Tabatha
and
the
boys.
He
knew
that
if
he
continued,
he’d
become
another
victim.
He
turned
around
to
seek
help.
It
was
about
that
time
that
Roberta,
the
boys’
mother,
returned
from
the
bathroom
and
looked
around
for
her
children.
She
was
shocked
to
spot
them
floating
much
farther
out
than
they
were
allowed
to
go.
She
fought
the
waves
to
get
to
her
screaming
sons
and
the
stranger
who
was
trying
to
save
them,
but
she
quickly
discovered
it
was
nearly
impossible
to
make
headway
in
any
direction.
Looking
around,
Roberta
sighed
with
relief
to
see
some
more
people
coming
to
help.

【答案】Paragraph
1:
When
they

Tabatha,
a
risky
idea
came
to
them.
To
keep
themselves
from

they
began
holding
on

one
another
to
form
a
human
chain
extending
from
the
beach
all
the
way
out
to
the
struggling
boys
and
Tabatha.
They
stayed
linked
tightly
and
managed
to
ensure
they
were
safe
by
making
their
feet
firmly
planted
in
the
sand.
However,
that
required
more
links
—
probably
dozens
of
them.
Shaun
spotted
other
swimmers
on
the
beach
and
shouted,
“Don’t
just
stand
there!
Come
and
help.”

On
paper,
hydrogen(H2)looks
like
a
dream
fuel.
Coal,
oil,
and
natural
gas
produce
carbon
dioxide,
which
warms
the
earth
when
burned,
Hydrogen
produces
pure
water.
Hydrogen
packs
more
energy
into
less
space
than
a
battery(but
certainly
less
than
petrol).
Also,
empty
tanks(燃料箱)can
be
refilled
with
hydrogen
much
faster
than
refilling
empty
batteries
with
electricity.
While
in
practice,
things
are
trickier.
Storing
a
meaningful
amount
of
hydrogen
gas
requires
pressing
it
several
hundred-fold.
Changing
it
into
the
liquid
form
is
another
option,
but
it
should
be
cooled
to-253C.Both
processes
require
a
heavy
and
strong
tank.
While
a
700
bar
tank
is
acceptable
for
a
city
bus
or
a
truck,
adapting
it
for
use
in
small
vehicles
is
very
difficult
because
the
pressure
during
refilling
would
be
too
great.
The
solution?
Powerpaste.
A
German
team
of
researchers,
led
by
Marcus
Vogt,
have
come
up
with
an
interesting
"powerpaste",
which
can
store
hydrogen
energy
at
atmospheric
pressure,
ready
for
release
when
needed.
It
is
so
named
because
it
comes
in
tubes
and
looks
like
toothpaste(牙膏),
not
in
its
traditional
form
of
gas.
The
main
ingredient(原料)of
the
paste
is
magnesium
hydride,
a
substance
that
reacts
with
water
to
form
hydrogen.
The
escaped
hydrogen
can
then
be
directed
into
a
fuel
cell,
where
it
reacts
with
oxygen
from
the
air
to
produce
electric
power.
Refueling
is
very
simple,
as
instead
of
going
to
a
filling
station,
drivers
and
riders
can
simply
replace
an
empty
tube
with
a
new
one
and
refill
the
water
tank.
Given
that
powerpaste
only
begins
to
break
down
at
temperatures
of
around
250℃
it
remains
safe
even
when
a
vehicle
stands
in
the
baking
sun
for
hours.
However,
we
will
have
to
be
patient.
Just
because
researchers
have
succeeded
in
developing
a
new
fueling
way
does
not
mean
that
we
can
expect
to
see
such
vehicles
on
the
road
anytime
soon.
It
will
indeed
be
several
years
before
this
concept
is
turned
into
reality.
8.As
a
fuel,
what
is
the
advantage
of
hydrogen
over
oil?
A.Refilling
empty
tanks
will
be
more
convenient.
B.It
is
less
likely
to
worsen
global
warming
C.More
energy
can
be
packed
in
the
same
space.
D.It
will
produce
pure
water
for
people
to
drink.
9.What
is
Paragraph
2
mainly
about?
A.The
practical
difficulties
to
use
hydrogen
as
fuel
in
small
vehicles.
B.The
detailed
processes
of
adapting
a
strong
tank
in
small
vehicles.
C.The
differences
in
fueling
between
large
vehicles
and
small
ones.
D.The
tricks
of
building
strong
tanks
in
small
vehicles.
10.The
author
mentions
the
refueling
process
to
show
that
powerpaste
is______________.
A.inexpensive
B.powerful
C.convenient
D.environment-friendly
11.Why
does
the
author
call
on
the
readers
to
be
patient?
A.Powerpaste-driven
vehicles
sometimes
move
very
slowly
on
the
road.
B.Practical
use
of
powerpaste-driven
vehicles
will
not
come
very
soon.
C.Powerpaste-driven
vehicles
can
only
work
after
being
in
the
sun
for
hours
D.It
will
be
years
before
the
researchers
work
out
the
concept
of
powerpaste.
D(广东省惠州市2020-20学年2022届新高三第一次调研)
When
you
walk
on
a
sandy
beach,
it
takes
more
energy
than
striding
down
a
sidewalk
—
because
the
weight
of
your
body
pushes
into
the
sand.
Turns
out,
the
same
thing
is
true
for
vehicles
driving
on
roads.
The
weight
of
the
vehicles
creates
a
very
shallow
indentation
(凹陷)
in
the
pavement
(路面)
—
and
it
makes
it
such
that
it’s
continuously
driving
up
a
very
shallow
hill.
Jeremy
Gregory,
a
sustainability
scientist
at
M.I.T.
and
his
team
modeled
how
much
energy
could
be
saved
—
and
green-house
gases
avoided
—
by
simply
stiffening
(硬化)
the
nation’s
roads
and
highways.
And
they
found
that
stiffening
10
percent
of
the
nation’s
roads
every
year
could
prevent
440
megatons
of
carbon
dioxide
equivalent
emissions
over
the
next
five
decades
—
enough
to
offset
half
a
percent
of
projected
transportation
sector
emissions
over
that
time
period.
To
put
those
emissions
savings
into
context
—
that
amount
is
equivalent
to
how
much
CO2
you’d
spare
the
planet
by
keeping
a
billion
barrels
of
oil
in
the
ground
—
or
by
growing
seven
billion
trees
—
for
a
decade.
The
results
are
in
the
Transportation
Research
Record.
As
for
how
to
stiffen
roads?
Gregory
says
you
could
mix
small
amounts
of
synthetic
fibers
or
carbon
nanotubes
into
paving
materials.
Or
you
could
pave
with
cement-based
concrete,
which
is
stiffer
than
asphalt
(沥青).
This
system
could
also
be
a
way
to
shave
carbon
emissions
without
some
of
the
usual
hurdles.
Usually,
when
it
comes
to
reducing
emissions
in
the
transportation
sector,
you’re
talking
about
changing
policies
related
to
vehicles
and
also
driver
behavior,
which
involves
millions
and
millions
of
people
—
as
opposed
to
changing
the
way
we
design
and
maintain
our
pavements.
That’s
just
on
the
order
of
thousands
of
people
who
are
working
in
transportation
agencies.
And
when
it
comes
to
retrofitting
(翻新)
our
streets
and
highways
—
those
agencies
are
where
the
rubber
meets
the
road.
12.Why
does
the
author
mention
“walk
on
a
sandy
beach”
in
paragraph
1?
A.To
present
a
fact.
B.To
make
a
contrast.
C.To

13.What
suggestion
does
the
author
give
to
reduce
CO2
emissions?
A.Hardening
the
road.
B.Keeping
oil
in
the
ground.
C.Growing
trees
for
decades.
D.Improving
the
transportation.
14.What
is
the

of
this

A.Gaining
more
support.
B.Consuming
less

C.Involving
more
people.
D.Facing
fewer
usual

15.What
does
the
underlined
part
mean
in
the
last
paragraph?
A.Those
agencies
are
likely
to
make
more
rules.
B.Those
agencies
will
change
some
related
policies.
C.Those
agencies
might
put
more
rubber

a
key
role
in
making
this
happen.
第二节(共5小题:每小题2.5分,满分12.5分)(20年全国甲卷)
阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项,选项中有两项为多余选项。
Swap,
Don’t
shop!
You
keep
hearing
about
recycling,
right?
But
it
doesn't
end
with
bottles,
cans,
and
paper.
Clothing
takes
a
huge
amount
of
natural
resources(资源)to
make,
and
buying
loads
of
new
clothing(or
throwing
out
old
clothing)is
not
healthy
for
the
environment.
So
what
to
do
with
all
those
perfectly-good-but-you're-maybe-a-little-sick-of-them
clothes
piled
on
your
bedroom
floor?
____16____.
It's
the
best
way
to
get
rid
of
your
used
clothes,
score
clothes
from
your
friends,
and
have
a
party
all
at
the
same
time.
A
successful
swap
depends
on
the
selection
of
clothes,
the
organization
of
the
event,
and,
obviously,
how
much
fun
is
had.
It's
really
easy
to
do!
Here
are
a
few
pointers.
●Invite
5—10
people
so
you
have
a
nice
selection.
____17____
,
and
there
may
not
be
enough
things
to
choose
from;
more
than
that,
and
it
becomes
uncontrollable.
●____18____.
They
should
also
prepare
plenty
of
reusable
bags
to
carry
their
"new"
clothes
home.
●Put
different
types
of
clothing
on
different
surfaces
in
the
room.
____19____.
Place
a
few
mirrors
around
your
room
so
people
can
see
how
things
look
when
they
try
them
on.
One
of
the
ground
rules
of
the
swap
should
be
that
everyone
must
try
on
the
clothes
before
they
take
them—things
always
look
different
when
you
put
them
on.
●Set
a
starting
time.
Maybe
you
say
“go,”
or
turn
on
a
certain
song,
or
whatever.
____20____.
And
don't
forget
to
put
out
some
cookies
and
fruits.
Remember,
it's
a
party!
A.
Less
people
than
that
B.
Hold
a
clothing
swap
C.
If
two
people
are
competing
D.
Just
keep
music
playing
throughout
E.
Donate
whatever
clothes
are
left
over
F
Have
everyone
put
their
clothes
in
the
right
spots
G.
Tell
everyone
to
bring
clean
clothes
in
good
condition
第三部分语言运用(共两节,满分30分)
第一节(共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分)
(江苏省淮安市20届高三4月适应性联考)阅读下面短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。
What
are
the
foods
that
you
can
only
taste
in
memories?
Your
mother's
biscuits?
The
pies
you
made
as
a
child?
And
what
are
the
recipes
that
help
you
your
memories?
This
morning,
for
the
first
time
in
over
a
year,
I
made
Dutch
Babies,
a
kind
of
pancake.
I’m
a
poor
cook
who's
always
22
to
pull
anything
out
of
the
oven
that
isn't
burnt.
But
23
,
I
get
lucky.
Making
Dutch
Babies
brings
to
my
mind
some
of
the
24
memories
of
my
life.
I’ve
made
Dutch
Babies
many
times
for
sleepovers
and
25
.
They
were
always
a
hit,
26
I
burned
them.
After
my
kids
grew
up,
I
didn't
cook
much
for
years,
except
for
holidays
or
other
27
occasions.
When
we
had
a
family
28
,
I'd
make
Dutch
Babies
for
breakfast.
I
can’t
recall
the
last
time
I
made
Dutch
Babies,
before
today.
I
know
it
was
29
a
year,
before
life
was
30
for
COVID-19,
and
we
stopped
having
guests.
So
why
did
I
make
them
this
31
for
only
my
husband
and
me?
It's
been
a(n)
32
year
for
all
of
us,
filled
with
things
we
couldn't
do.
I
was
33
to
celebrate
being
alive.
Good
food
can
feed
a
hungry
crowd.
But
if
it's
made
with
love
and
34
.
it
can
fill
a(n)
35
with
the
hope
of
better
days
to
come.
So,
add
your
own
memories.

第二节(满分25分)
(江苏南京金陵中学20届高三下学期四月)阅读下面材料,
根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,
使之构成一篇完整的短文。
On
July
8,
2017,
eight
members
of
a
family
in
total,
were
enjoying
an
evening
together
at
the
beach
in
Panhandle,
Florida.
As
the
sun
sank
lower
on
the
horizon,
the
two
boys
Noah
11
and
Stephen
8
swam
into
the
waves
without
the
grown-ups
noticing.
Soon
they
realized
that
the
ocean
had
pulled
them
into
the
sea.
After
trying
and
failing
to
swim
back,
they
started
waving
and
screaming
for
help.
But
the
lifeguards
had
been
off
duty
for
the
evening.
The
boys
had
been
struggling
for
several
minutes
when
Jacky
and
Tabatha,
a
couple
from
Georgia,
heard
them.
They
dived
into
the
water
and
s0on
reached
the
two
brothers.
But
after
a
few
minutes,
they
were
all
trapped
in
a
rip
current
(离岸流),a
powerful
one
that
could
sweep
even
the
strongest
swimmer
out
to
sea!
By
then,
some
teenagers
had
heard
the
cry.
One
of
the
teens
rushed
into
the
water,
grabbed
Jacky.
and
pulled
him
back
to
shore.
Meanwhile,
Tabatha
could
feel
herself
being
pulled
farther
out.
She
was
already
exhausted
and
beginning
to
feel
desperate
as
she
was
trying
to
save
both
boys
alone.
Onshore,
Jacky
was
terrified.
A
man
stopped.
“What’s
wrong?”
asked
Shaun,
who
was
heading
back
to
his
car.
“My
wife
is
drowning!"
Brittany
said.
Shaun
immediately
strode
(大步跨)
into
the
water.
But
several
minutes
later,
a
gaping
15
feet
still
lay
between
him
and
Tabatha
and
the
boys.
He
knew
that
if
he
continued,
he’d
become
another
victim.
He
turned
around
to
seek
help.
It
was
about
that
time
that
Roberta,
the
boys’
mother,
returned
from
the
bathroom
and
looked
around
for
her
children.
She
was
shocked
to
spot
them
floating
much
farther
out
than
they
were
allowed
to
go.
She
fought
the
waves
to
get
to
her
screaming
sons
and
the
stranger
who
was
trying
to
save
them,
but
she
quickly
discovered
it
was
nearly
impossible
to
make
headway
in
any
direction.
Looking
around,
Roberta
sighed
with
relief
to
see
some
more
people
coming
to
help.
