The Tang costume stands for Chinese history and fashion culture.
The Tang costume got its name because China because known to other countries during the Han and Tang dynasties.
Chinese fashion is not only different from western fashion, but also from that in other Asian countries such as Japan and Korea.
It’s expresses both the wearer’s personal style and China’s rich traditional culture.

1、get its name 得名
如：The city got its name from the mountain of “Liangshan”。

2、known是know的过去分词，在这里作形容词，意为“大家知道的，已知的，知名的”。其用法类似于famous,常用结构：
Become/ be known to意为“为。。。所熟知”，be known for 因。。。。。而出名
如：The fact is known to everybody. 大家都知道这个事实。
3、design…..as…..意为“按。。。。来设计。。。。”，通常用be designed as….结构。
Practical English is designed as the ABC of Junior English.
实用英语是作为初中英语入门课而设计的。
另外be designed for….意为“为….而设计”
Practical English is designed for the students who did nor learn English in primary school.
实用英语是为在小学阶段没有学过英语的学生而设计的。
4、either….or….表示选择关系，意为“要么…..要么…..，不是….就是…..”
如：You can either take it home or leave it here.
你要么把它拿回家要么就留在这里。
You can have either fruit juice or milk
你要么喝果汁要么和牛奶。
注意：：either….or….结构连接并列主语时，动词人称和数一般采取就近原则。
