1972年荷兰飞利浦（Philips）公司的研究人员开始使用激光光束来进行记录和存放信息。1982年，激光唱盘诞生了。CD-DA激光唱盘p’系统首先把模拟的音响信号进行数字化处理，再经过编码之后记录到盘上。在80年代中期，光盘的发展非常快。但是在我们现在生活中，U盘已经取代了大部分CD。

在本节课导入部分，以歌曲导入新知，让学生通过Happy
New
Year歌曲感受节日氛围，边唱边做的形式不仅能带动学生课堂开始的热情，也为后面的学习进行了铺垫。
接下来采用礼物袋激发学生学习新词的兴趣，以游戏形式巩固单词，并渗
透句型What’s
this/that?
It’s
…
在教学过程中，教师可以不局限于书上的词汇，根据学生说的礼物内容即时教新词。
在课文学习部分，让学生先通过听录音，知道有哪些礼物，然后再次播放课文动画，让学生了解这些礼物分别是给谁的，这是一个从整体到细节的过程。接着让学生精读课文，引导学生发现赠送和接受礼物需要用什么语言，并尝试运用语言。在此过程中适当进行文化渗透，让学生了解体会中西方文化在礼物收受上的差异。
