We

Every
week,
our
teacher
gives
us
a
new
topic
to
discuss
in
class.
Last
Monday,
however,
he
asked
us
a
very
interesting
question—"Do
you
think
it
is
difficult
to
be
a
31
?
"
Some
of
the
students
said
they
thought
it
was
easy,
as
parents
never
have
to
do
any
homework!
Our
teacher
said
he
wouldn't
tell
us
the
32
.
He
said
he
would
let
us
be
"a
parent"
for
a
week.
He
was
sure
we
would
have
the
answer
by
the
end
of
the
week.
The
rest
of
the
lesson
was
33
making
flour
(面粉)
babies.
We
first
took
some
bags
and
filled
them
with
flour
in
order
to
make
the
"babies"
as
heavy
as
real
ones.
We
then
tied
the
bags
very
tight,
so
the
34
would
not
fall
out.
After
that,
we
used
cardboard
(纸板)
to
make
some
arms,
legs
and
a
face
for
our
flour
babies,
and
then
35
them
in
old
pieces
of
clothing.
My
baby
looked
36
,
as
I
am
not
good
at
art,
but
it
was
great
fun.
When
we
finished,
our
teacher
gave
us
all
notebooks
to
37
our
experience
with
the
babies
for
the
whole
week.
We
had
to
carry
them
with
us
every
day
and
look
after
them
like
real
babies.
That
was
really
difficult!
For
example,
one
of
my
friends
has
quite
a
bad
memory,
and
38
his
flour
baby
on
the
bus
one
morning.
We
also
had
to
feed
the
baby
and
get
it
for
bed
in
the
evening.
Every
night,
I
was
supposed
to
get
up
three
times
to
feed
the
flour
baby.
I
was
tired
and
fell
asleep
very
39
.
Yet
it
was
just
a
few
hours
before
my
alarm
clock
woke
me
up
again.
I
got
40
little
sleep
that
I
had
black
bags
under
my
eyes.
It
was
a
difficult
time,
but
now
the
project
is
finished.
I
feel
I
have
learnt
that
it
is
not
easy
to
be
a
responsible
(负责的)
parent.
I
think
it
also
gave
me
a
new
perspective
(观点)
on
what
my
parents
have
done
for
me.

He
is
from
a
poor
family,
but
loves
to
study.
It
may
be
hard
to
believe,
but
the
American
Revolution
(革命)
—the
war
that
freed
the
American
states
from
British
control—began
over
a
cup
of
tea.
Tea
was
not
the
only
thing
that
caused
the
war,
of
course,
but
it
played
a
very
big
part.
The
British
people’s
love
of
tea
is
well-known.
When
the
British
won
control
over
much
of
North
America
in
the
early
1700s,
they
brought
their
tea-drinking
habits
with
them.
Tea
quickly
became
the
continent’s
most
popular
drink.
As
tea
could
not
be
grown
locally,
just
as
in
Britain,
it
was
shipped
into
the
country—mostly
from
India.
In
the
early
1700s,
the
British
government
made
a
special
deal
with
the
East
India
Company,
an
English
trading
company.
They
agreed
that
no
other
company
was
allowed
to
bring
tea
to
Britain
or
any
country
controlled
by
Britain,
including
America.
It
was
a
great
deal
for
the
East
India
Company,
since
it
meant
that
the
company
could
decide
whatever
price
it
wanted
for
its
products.
And
it
always
decided
on
a
high
price!
In
North
America,
the
local
people
did
not
like
having
to
pay
such
high
prices.
Instead
of
overpaying
for
tea
from
the
Britain,
they
turned
to
Dutch
(荷兰的)
traders,
who
secretly
brought
tea
to
the
country
that
was
just
as
good—and
much
less
expensive.
Although
this
broke
the
law,
the
American
people
didn’t
care.
They
got
the
same
cup
of
tea
at
a
much
lower
price.
The
East
India
Company,
however,
didn’t
like
this
at
all.
By
the
1760s,
they
were
losing
millions
of
pounds
each
year
to
Dutch
traders—a
huge
amount
of
money
in
a
time
when
£60
a
year
was
considered
a
good
income
(收入).
Instead
of
reducing
their
prices
to
compete
with
the
Dutch,
the
company
asked
the
British
government
for
help
and
the
government
agreed.
In
1767,
the
British
introduced
new
laws
that
increased
the
prices
of
all
goods
which
were
brought
into
America.
These
laws
helped
make
the
East
India
Company
even
richer
and
forced
local
people
to
pay
much
more
for
everything.
The
American
leaders
asked
the
British
government
not
to
do
so,
but
the
British
refused
to
listen.
These
unfair
laws
increased
Americans’
anger
about
British
rule
and
the
rest,
as
they
say,
is
history.

tea
was
a
lot
healthier.

it
more
