一、Class Opening and Review:
1. The teacher draws a calendar and asks the students “What’s the date ”lead the students say “It’s December 25th .It’s Christmas Day.”
2. Show Santa and say “Merry Christmas “to the students.
二、Key Concepts
Demonstrate:
1. The teacher shows a box of a toy to the students and tell them that it’s a gift from Santa .
2. The teacher stand in front of a volunteer and says “Santa brings gift for you .”with the gesture .”I give you the gift.Please open it ”
3. When the volunteer open the gift .The teacher asks “What is it ”The volunteer answers “It’s a teddy bear .”The teacher repeats “It’s a teddy bear .It’s a toy.”(write “toy “on the blackboard )
4. The teacher asks another volunteer and does this dialogue again .Then write “bring, give, open” on the blackboard .And ask the students to read the words a few times .Introduce the pronounciation of the words .eg. give, open
Practise:
1.Ask some volunteers to do the same practice with the help on the blackboard . The game is “gift giving “.
2.The teacher asks a volunteer to picks up a gift under the Christmas tree and do the practice with other volunteers. We can do this practice three groups .
Play the audiotape
The teacher tells the students tha today ,Santa bring gifts for Jenny Li Ming Danny and so on .Let’s listen .What are the gifts What’s the gift from Li Ming to Smith family
