she
liked
showing
off(炫耀)).
At
the
gymnastics
tryout(选拔赛),
she
put
on
a
perfect
performance.
"See
who
can
do
that!
"
she
said
proudly.
The
next
Friday,
the
list
was
posted
announcing
who
had
made
the
team.
Ellie's
name
wasn't
on
it.
"It's
unfair.
I'm
better
than
all
the
other

she
said.
She
went
to
see
the

"You

the

Teenagers
who
start
the
school
day
really
early
are
likely
to
weigh
slightly
more
than
those
who
start
later.
That's
the
finding
of
a
new
study
of
nearly
30,000
Canadians
between
the
ages
of
10
and
18.
Getting
too
little
sleep
can
put
kids
at
risk
for
a
number
of
problems.
Sleepy
teens
are
more
likely
to
be
overweight,
to
have
trouble
concentrating
and
to
struggle
in
school.
Geneviève
Gariépy,
who
works
at
McGil
University
in
Montreal,
Canada,
wanted
to
know
how
earlier
school
start
times
might
be
connected
with
weight.
"Overweight
in
teenagers
is
a
big
problem
in
North
America,
"
she
says.
The
number
of
overweight
kids
has
grown
over
the
past
30
years.
About
one
in
three
American
and
Canadian
teens
are
now
overweight.
Kids
who
don't
sleep
enough
may
be
at
higher
risk.
So
Gariépy
decided
to
home
in
on
the
effect
of
school
start
times.
Her
team
collected
start
times
for
362
Canadian
schools.
Then
they
asked
students
at
those
schools
to
give
their
height
and
weight.
In
all,
they
collected
data
from
nearly
30,000
10-to
18-year-olds.
Among
6th-to
10th-graders,
those
who
started
school
earlier
were
likely
to
be
slightly
heavier
for
their
height.
Every
10-minute
delay
in
school
start
time
was
connected,
on
average,
with
a
slightly
lower
weight
among
students
who
were
the
same
sex,
age
and
height.
However,
the
difference
is
slight.
Healthy
eating
and
getting
enough
exercise
will
play
a
bigger
role
in
keeping
a
healthy
weight.
Because
the
study
compared
kids
who
already
started
school
at
different
times
of
day,
it's
not
clear
that
changing
school
start
time
would
help
heavier
kids
lose
weight.
To
know
for
sure,
researchers
would
want
to
compare
the
same
kids
before
and
after
changing
to
a
later
school
start
time.
Still,
the
study
is
a
good
start,
says
Cora
Collette
Bruener,
a
doctor
at
Seattle
Children's
Hospital
in
Washington.
The
findings
add
to
a
growing
pile
of
evidence
that
later
school
start
times
might
be
better
for
teen
health,
she
says.
28.
What
is
the
finding
of
the
new
study?
A.
More
and
more
teens
are
growing
overweight.
B.
Healthy
diets
and
enough
exercise
help
reduce
weight.
C.
Teens
who
start
school
earlier
are
a
little
overweight.
D.
Teens
who
start
school
earlier
do
not
perform
well.
29.
What
does
the
underlined
phrase
"home
in
on"
in
paragraph
2
probably
mean?
A.
Deal
with.
B.
Focus
attention
on.
C.
Bring
down.
D.
Watch
out
for.
30.
How
did
Gariépy's
team
get
their
findings?
A.
By
recording
the
teens'
weight.
B.
By
checking
the
teens'
physical
health.
C.
By
comparing
different
sets
of
number.
D.
By
measuring
the
teens'
height.
31.
What
does
Cora
Collette
Bruener
think
of
the
study?
A.
It
has
inspiring
value.
B.
It
need
further
support.
C.
It
needs
improving.
D.
It
is
well
designed.
D
There
are
many
ways
for
diseases
to
spread.
A
sick
person
can
cough
or
sneeze
on
someone
nearby,
or
they
can
spread
germs
through
a
handshake.
But
sometimes
we
pick
up
germs
indirectly.
A
sick
person
might
leave
behind
bacteria
or
viruses
when
they
touch
a
door
handle,
for
example.
But
what
if
those
surfaces
could
clean
themselves?
Two
teenagers
from
Hong
Kong
asked
themselves
the
same
question.
Now
they've
developed
a
door
handle
that
can
kill
germs
on
contact.
The
idea
is
simple.
Every
time
the
door
is
opened,
the
movement
creates
power
that
starts
a
germ-killing
reaction
on
the
handle.
In
lab
tests,
their
system
killed
about
99.8
percent
of
the
germs
that
they
spread
onto
lab
dishes
covered
with
their
material.
Research
by
others
has
shown
that
door
handles
in
public
areas
are
often
home
to
lots
of
bacteria
and
viruses,
notes
17-year-old
Sum
Ming(“Simon”)
Wong.
He
and
his
schoolmate
Kin
Pong(Michael)
Li,
18,
wanted
to
design
a
covering
for
door
handles
that
would
kill
germs.
After
doing
some
research,
they
learned
that
a
mineral
called
titanium
dioxide
is
known
to
kill
bacteria.
It's
already
used
in
many
products,
from
paints
to
desserts.
To
make
their
covering,
the
teenagers
made
the
mineral
into
a
very
fine
powder.
Titanium
dioxide
kills
bacteria
best
when
lit
by
ultraviolet
light,
says
Simon.
UV
light
is
found
in
sunlight.
But
UV
light
does
not
naturally
shine
on
indoor
handles
or
any
used
at
night,
so
the
teenagers
light
their
door
handle
from
within.
To
make
sure
the
light
reaches
the
coated
surface,
the
teenagers
made
their
door
handle
out
of
clear
glass.
Each
end
fits
into
a
bracket.
Inside
one
of
the
brackets
is
a
strong
light-emitting
diode(LED).
From
it
comes
UV
light.
And
here's
the
interesting
part:
The
power
that
makes
the
UV
light
shine
comes
from
opening
and
closing
the
door.
The
power
from
the
door
is
then
carried
by
wire
to
the
LED
inside
the
door
handle.
The
door
handle
system,
Michael
and
Simon
say,
might
cost
no
more
than
about
$13(about
81
yuan)
to
build.
32.

ways
diseases
spread
are

door
handle
______.
A.
is
too
expensive
for
ordinary
families
B.
works
better
at

C.
is

inside
the

power
to
the
handle
system
C.
direct
the
UV
light
in
sunlight
to
the
coated
surface
D.
provide
UV
light
to
help
titanium
dioxide
work
better
35.
What
is
the
author's
attitude
toward
Michael
and
Simon's
door
handle
system?
A.
Careful
B.
Negative
C.

The
following
year,
Ellie

best
title
for
the
text?
A.

C.
Gymnastics
tryouts
D.
Gymnastics

【答案】24.
A
25.
D
26.
C
27.
C
【解析】
【分析】这是一篇记叙文.讲述了体操运动员Ellie由于爱炫耀而在选拔赛中落选,后来她在教练的教导下意识到自身不足,逐步学会帮助别人,有了团队意识.最终在第二年通过选拔赛.
【24题详解】
推理判断题。根据"It's
unfair.
I'm
better
than
all
the
other
girls!
"
she
said.
She
went
to
see
the
coach.(“这不公平。我比其他的女孩都好。”她去见教练时说。)可知,她对自己没有被选上而愤愤不平,觉得不公平,因此很生气。故选A。
【25题详解】
细节理解题。根据第三段第一句"You
are
quite
talented,
but
your
attitude
is
terrible,
"
the
coach
said.(教练说,你很有天赋。但是,你的态度很糟糕。)以及第三段最后一句“Ellie
couldn't
sleep.
She
kept
thinking
about
what
the
coach
had
said.(Ellie无法入睡,她反复思考教练说的话)”可知,Ellie睡不着,是因为她在想教练为什么这么说。故选D。
【26题详解】
细节理解题。根据第一段“But
she
liked
showing
off(炫耀)”可知,文章一开始就指出Ellie喜欢炫耀;然后是参加选拔赛,但是结果落选,回家告知父母。于是“Ellie's
parents
argued.(Ellie's的父母争论)”。接下来“Ellie
couldn't
stay
away
from
the
gym,
so
she
practiced
alone.(Ellie不能远离体育馆,于是她独自训练)”在训练中“after
watching
Ann
fall
off
the
parallel
bars(双杠)again
and
again,
Ellie
ran
to
her
and
explained
to
Ann
what
she
was
doing
wrong.(看见Ann从双杠上掉下来,Ellie跑过去给她解释出错的原因)”由此可以看出,Ellie逐渐学会了帮助他人。因此正确的顺序是C.
④②①③。故选C。
【27题详解】
主旨大意题。全文以选拔赛为线索展开故事,第一次落选是由于她炫耀。她听了教练的忠告后,在训练中学会了帮助别人,逐渐有了团队意识。在第二年选拔赛中获胜。因此文章的标题是Gymnastics
tryouts(选拔赛)。故选C。
C
Teenagers
who
start
the
school
day
really
early
are
likely
to
weigh
slightly
more
than
those
who
start
later.
That's
the
finding
of
a
new
study
of
nearly
30,000
Canadians
between
the
ages
of
10
and
18.
Getting
too
little
sleep
can
put
kids
at
risk
for
a
number
of
problems.
Sleepy
teens
are
more
likely
to
be
overweight,
to
have
trouble
concentrating
and
to
struggle
in
school.
Geneviève
Gariépy,
who
works
at
McGil
University
in
Montreal,
Canada,
wanted
to
know
how
earlier
school
start
times
might
be
connected
with
weight.
"Overweight
in
teenagers
is
a
big
problem
in
North
America,
"
she
says.
The
number
of
overweight
kids
has
grown
over
the
past
30
years.
About
one
in
three
American
and
Canadian
teens
are
now
overweight.
Kids
who
don't
sleep
enough
may
be
at
higher
risk.
So
Gariépy
decided
to
home
in
on
the
effect
of
school
start
times.
Her
team
collected
start
times
for
362
Canadian
schools.
Then
they
asked
students
at
those
schools
to
give
their
height
and
weight.
In
all,
they
collected
data
from
nearly
30,000
10-to
18-year-olds.
Among
6th-to
10th-graders,
those
who
started
school
earlier
were
likely
to
be
slightly
heavier
for
their
height.
Every
10-minute
delay
in
school
start
time
was
connected,
on
average,
with
a
slightly
lower
weight
among
students
who
were
the
same
sex,
age
and
height.
However,
the
difference
is
slight.
Healthy
eating
and
getting
enough
exercise
will
play
a
bigger
role
in
keeping
a
healthy
weight.
Because
the
study
compared
kids
who
already
started
school
at
different
times
of
day,
it's
not
clear
that
changing
school
start
time
would
help
heavier
kids
lose
weight.
To
know
for
sure,
researchers
would
want
to
compare
the
same
kids
before
and
after
changing
to
a
later
school
start
time.
Still,
the
study
is
a
good
start,
says
Cora
Collette
Bruener,
a
doctor
at
Seattle
Children's
Hospital
in
Washington.
The
findings
add
to
a
growing
pile
of
evidence
that
later
school
start
times
might
be
better
for
teen
health,
she
says.
28.
What
is
the
finding
of
the
new
study?
A.
More
and
more
teens
are
growing
overweight.
B.
Healthy
diets
and
enough
exercise
help
reduce
weight.
C.
Teens
who
start
school
earlier
are
a
little
overweight.
D.
Teens
who
start
school
earlier
do
not
perform
well.
29.
What
does
the
underlined
phrase
"home
in
on"
in
paragraph
2
probably
mean?
A.
Deal
with.
B.
Focus
attention
on.
C.
Bring
down.
D.
Watch
out
for.
30.
How
did
Gariépy's
team
get
their
findings?
A.
By
recording
the
teens'
weight.
B.
By
checking
the
teens'
physical
health.
C.
By
comparing
different
sets
of
number.
D.
By
measuring
the
teens'
height.
31.
What
does
Cora
Collette
Bruener
think
of
the
study?
A.
It
has
inspiring
value.
B.
It
need
further
support.
C.
It
needs
improving.
D.
It
is
well
designed.
【答案】28.

D
There
are
many
ways
for
diseases
to
spread.
A
sick
person
can
cough
or
sneeze
on
someone
nearby,
or
they
can
spread
germs
through
a
handshake.
But
sometimes
we
pick
up
germs
indirectly.
A
sick
person
might
leave
behind
bacteria
or
viruses
when
they
touch
a
door
handle,
for
example.
But
what
if
those
surfaces
could
clean
themselves?
Two
teenagers
from
Hong
Kong
asked
themselves
the
same
question.
Now
they've
developed
a
door
handle
that
can
kill
germs
on
contact.
The
idea
is
simple.
Every
time
the
door
is
opened,
the
movement
creates
power
that
starts
a
germ-killing
reaction
on
the
handle.
In
lab
tests,
their
system
killed
about
99.8
percent
of
the
germs
that
they
spread
onto
lab
dishes
covered
with
their
material.
Research
by
others
has
shown
that
door
handles
in
public
areas
are
often
home
to
lots
of
bacteria
and
viruses,
notes
17-year-old
Sum
Ming(“Simon”)
Wong.
He
and
his
schoolmate
Kin
Pong(Michael)
Li,
18,
wanted
to
design
a
covering
for
door
handles
that
would
kill
germs.
After
doing
some
research,
they
learned
that
a
mineral
called
titanium
dioxide
is
known
to
kill
bacteria.
It's
already
used
in
many
products,
from
paints
to
desserts.
To
make
their
covering,
the
teenagers
made
the
mineral
into
a
very
fine
powder.
Titanium
dioxide
kills
bacteria
best
when
lit
by
ultraviolet
light,
says
Simon.
UV
light
is
found
in
sunlight.
But
UV
light
does
not
naturally
shine
on

【解析】
【分析】这是一篇说明文。文章介绍了两位香港青少年发明自动消毒手柄文章。
【32题详解】
推理判断题。根据第一段“There
are
many
ways
for
diseases
to
spread.
A
sick
person
can
cough
or
sneeze
on
someone
nearby,
or
they
can
spread
germs
through
a
handshake.
But
sometimes
we
pick
up
germs
indirectly.
A
sick
person
might
leave
behind
bacteria
or
viruses
when
they
touch
a
door
handle,
for
example.
But
what
if
those
surfaces
could
clean
themselves?(疾病的传播有许多途径。病人可以对着附近的人咳嗽或打喷嚏,或者他们可以通过握手传播细菌。但有时我们会间接感染细菌。例如,病人接触门把手时可能会留下细菌或病毒。
但如果这些表面可以自己清洁呢?)”以及第二段“Two
teenagers
from
Hong
Kong
asked
themselves
the
same
question.
Now
they've
developed
a
door
handle
that
can
kill
germs
on
contact.(来自香港的两名青少年也问了自己同样的问题。现在他们发明了一种门把手,可以杀死接触的细菌)”可推知,开篇主要是引入为什么要发明这个自动消毒手柄,即帮助描述防止疾病传播的新发明——自动消毒手柄。故选C。
【33题详解】
细节理解题。根据第三段中“Every
time
the
door
is
opened,
the
movement
creates
power
that
starts
a
germ-killing
reaction
on
the
handle.(每当门被打开时,这个运动就会产生能量,开始在门把手上产生杀菌反应)”可知,Michael和Simon的门把手是由使用者的运动来驱动的。故选C。
【34题详解】
推理判断题。根据第六段“Titanium
dioxide
kills
bacteria
best
when
lit
by
ultraviolet
light,
says
Simon.
UV
light
is
found
in
sunlight.
But
UV
light
does
not
naturally
shine
on
indoor
handles
or
any
used
at
night,
so
the
teenagers
light
their
door
handle
from
within.(西蒙说,二氧化钛在紫外线照射下杀死细菌的效果最好。紫外线存在于阳光中。但是紫外线不会自然地照射到室内的把手或任何晚上使用的东西上,所以青少年们从里面照明他们的门把手)”以及第七段“To
make
sure
the
light
reaches
the
coated
surface,
the
teenagers
made
their
door
handle
out
of
clear
glass.
Each
end
fits
into
a
bracket.
Inside
one
of
the
brackets
is
a
strong
light-emitting
diode(LED).
From
it
comes
UV
light.(为了确保光线照射到涂层表面,孩子们用透明玻璃做了门把手。两端装进一个托架。在支架的内部是一个强发光二极管(LED)。紫外线由此而来)”
可推断出,LED被放置在托架内是为了提供紫外线帮助二氧化钛更好地工作。故选D。
【35题详解】
推理判断题。根据第三段中“In
lab
tests,
their
system
killed
about
99.8
percent
of
the
germs(在实验室测试中,他们的系统杀死了99.8%的细菌)”;第五段“After
doing
some
research,
they
learned
that
a
mineral
called
titanium
dioxide(二氧化钛)is
known
to
kill
bacteria.
It’s
already
used
in
many
products(他们发现一种矿物称为二氧化钛杀死细菌。它已经被用在很多产品中)”以及第八段“And
here’s
the
interesting
part:
The
power
that
makes
the
UV
light
shine
comes
from
opening
and
closing
the
door.(有趣的是:紫外线照射的能量来自开关门)”根据文中的用词“killed
about
99.8
percent
of
the
germs
”、“It’s
already
used
in
many
products”和“And
here’s
the
interesting
part:”可推知,作者对Michael和Simon的门把手系统持支持态度。故选D。

【分析】这是一篇记叙文。描述了作者和同学一起去农场参观的事。
【详解】1.考查固定短语。句意:今天我们班参观了一个农场。结合句意表示“参观”可知短语为pay
a
visit
to。故visit
后加to。
2.考查时态。句意:农场工人在农场门口热烈欢迎我们,让我们深受感动。根据本文语境,可知描述的是过去的事,应该用一般过去时,故give改为gave。
3.考查定语从句。句意:农场工人在农场门口热烈欢迎我们,让我们深受感动。此处为非限制性定语从句,修饰上文整个句子,从句中缺少主语,应用关系代词which引导。故what改为which。
4.考查语态。句意:然后我们被带着到处参观。此处we和show之间是动宾关系,此处应用被动语态,故showing改为shown。
5.考查形容词。句意:看到庄稼和蔬菜长得很好,我们真高兴。分析句子结构可知,此处是how引导感叹句,此句中how后加形容词,且此形容词是系动词were后的表语,把happily改为happy。故
happily改为happy。
6.考查固定短语。句意:休息十分钟后,我们讲笑话、讲故事,唱歌、跳舞,玩得很开心。结合句意表示“玩得开心”短语为have
great
fun。故删掉
great
前的a。
7.考查名词的数。句意:休息十分钟后,我们讲笑话、讲故事,唱歌、跳舞,玩得很开心。story为可数名词,前文没有冠词,表示数量大于一应用复数形式。故story改为stories。
8.考查代词。句意:我们两个甚至下了一盘棋。根据上文描述的人称以及此句句意,可知此处用第一人称复数,把them改为us。故them改为us。
9.考查连词。句意:不知不觉天已经黑了,我们只好离开。根据句意,此处表示因为玩的开心,还不知道也就是在知道之前,天就黑了,应用before。故
After改为Before。
10.考查连词。句意:不知不觉天已经黑了,所以我们只好离开。此处前后文为因果关系,应用连词so。故
because改为so。
