Teaching aids: CD-ROM, ppt
Teaching procedure:
Step1: Greeting
T: Class begins! S1: Stand up!
T: Hello, boys and girls. Ss: Hello, Tracy.
T: Nice to meet you.(do the action) Ss: Nice to meet you, too.
Step2: free talk:
Wat’s the weather like today
What day is it today
How old are you
Where’s the pencil (review on/under/ in)
Step3: Warm up: sing a song “Where is thumbkin ”
Step4: Learn the story:
There is a story about Panpan & Kami, let’s listen to the CD carefully, then answer my questions.
Qs: 1. How old is Kami
2.Where’s the pencil
3. Where’s Kami at first (出示图片)
4. Where’s Kami at last （出示图片）
Read the questions and answers together.
Listen & repeat.分段朗读
Step5: Act out:
First ，T & two ss show the story for the class, then practise in group. Get the ss to work in group, and tell the story to each other, have them come to the front and mime the actions. (the ss can act out with your book.)
Step6: Expand training:
Show the picture of my office, then ask the ss to practise the sentence patterns with the word you have learned.
Where’s my book It’s on the desk…(one group ask, one group answer.)
Step10. Homework:
Tell the story to your parents.
课后反思：本节课主要是复习询问年龄跟地点的句型，重点是让学生会灵活运用，会在生活中用英语来表达，方位词还需要多去练习。
