Quick Reading
What a scene it was at the top! Clear, bird’s eye views of the city extended in all directions. Looking south we saw the city skyline, the famous Opera House and the ocean. It was just like looking at a postcard, except that we were really part of the picture! Everyone felt proud of having reached this spot in the city.
No one was ready to leave when it was time to go down. The two hours we had spent on the bridge seemed to pass in an instant. But the memory of having seen such a unique scene will stay with us for a lifetime.

悉尼海港大桥 (教学设计)
(1) 教学目标设计
根据《新课标》,及结合学生特点,教学目标设计如下:
1) 知识目标:了解课文大意,学习如何用英语描述景点,尤其是大桥等建筑,以及学会如何运用英语交流旅游感想,尤其是旅游过程中的所见所闻。
2) 技能目标:通过课堂中各个任务的操练,鼓励学生课堂上多参与,多练习,由被动学习转换为主动学习,从而锻炼学生听、读、说、写的能力。
3) 情感目标:通过对课文的学习,激发学生对于旅游的兴趣,对于2010上海世博会的关注,以及唤起学生的民族自豪感。
(2) 教学过程设计
A)课前预习:
1)老师:认真细致的构思课堂教学的大致框架,利用信息技术手段寻找相关素材,制作课件。(课件起贯穿课堂,引领课堂的作用)。
2)学生:课前自主学习1)课前熟知课文;2)鼓励学生思考并设计与课文有关的问题,及找出解决方案。
B)教学过程:课文导入―课文展开 ―拓展性学习。
课文导入:1)形式:播放悉尼海港大桥的影片。作用:在教授课文之前播放影片,描述课文情境,营造课堂气氛,吸引学生注意力,使学生迅速进入学习状态。2)形式:讨论。作用:开拓学生思路,渐渐进入本课主题。3)形式:投映照片。作用:再次唤起学生对旅游的兴趣,为下文的展开打下基础。
课文展开:本文分成三部分学习。通过设置形式多样的任务帮助学生理解课文,及能力的提高。
第一部分:1)形式:听录音填空。作用:训练听力技巧和简单归纳能力。2)形式:以导游的身份介绍悉尼海港大桥。作用:在理解基础上,为学生设置任务,鼓励学生有动机的自主学习,并且主动地运用所学语言去做事情,在做事情的过程中就会自然地使用所学语言,在使用所学语言做事情的过程中就会自然地发展语言能力。
第二部分:1)形式:学生朗读并寻觅重点动词。作用:通过朗读鼓励学生开口,并纠正发音,学会抓住重点字词来提高理解能力。2)形式:学生情景剧表演。作用:将静态的文本内容以情景剧形式表达,提高学生运用语言能力,从视觉角度刺激学生的信息输入。
第三部分:1) 形式:快速阅读,寻找信息,完成练习。说明:通过阅读训练学生快速寻找信息的能力。该任务针对课文内容设计问题,旨在帮助学生理解课文。2)形式:新闻采访。作用:学生合作改编内容,不仅有利于学生理解课文内容,还能将课文进行消化,以口语形式进行输出,并能培养学生的团队合作意识。
拓展性学习:1)形式:学生开展各种形式活动,对卢浦大桥进行介绍。主要是激发学生应用英语的兴趣,鼓励学生积极参与,不仅帮助学生巩固已学知识,而且帮助学生在活动中提升运用语言的能力,并能激发民族自豪感。
(3) 多媒体应用设计
本堂课的教学辅助手段是多媒体辅助教学。用课件的目的在于:
1.激发学生的学习兴趣。通过多媒体信息技术,向学生展示海港大桥的图片,影片,及澳洲音乐,给学生不仅视觉和听觉上的享受,更能激发他们活跃的思维和浓烈的兴趣,为教学目标的落实打下基础。
2.增加课堂容量。多媒体教学克服了传统教学上的不足,如大量的板书可能影响课堂进度。通过多媒体课件,教师可当堂展示相关资料,提出相关的任务和活动,这不仅提高课堂效率,而且易于学生掌握。
3.突出重点,突破难点。1)采用我校“四要素”课堂教学模式,通过多媒体课件,首先向学生明确本节课的目标。这样,学生能了解本节课要学的东西,使的学生在学习过程中更具目的性,体现了任务驱动性。2)通过多媒体课件,显示知识重点,引导学生进行自主学习和拓展性学习。例如,第二部分有关爬桥的段落篇幅长,内容复杂,很难梳理。如教师用课件的图表形式,突出重点,有利于学生理解,并且可帮助学生在复述课文时,根据表格重点,进行轻松,清晰表达,即完成预定目标,又克服了学生对于复述课文此类活动的恐惧心理。
