2.根据上下文猜测生词含义和推断故事情节。
本节课将引导学生观察图片，阅读两个小故事，获取相关信息，理解故事情节；并根据已知信息猜测生词含义，最后按照图片和给出的关键词复述故事。
教材分析
本课是北师大2011课标版初中英语九年级第四单元第12课，课型为阅读课。本课是一篇科幻故事类文章，围绕中考课标中第20个话题“自然（Nature）”下的小话题“宇宙（Universe）”
，训练学生的逻辑思维和推断的能力。虽然关于太空的话题不太贴近学生的日常生活，但是教材将其包裹在男孩Billy和小狗Oscar的一次平常的遭遇中，易于可以激发学生的学习兴趣和想象力。
本课的教学设计分为两个课时。本节课为第一课时，通过图片和文字阅读，逐步引起学生的好奇心，激发学生发现问题和提出问题的兴趣，并通过小组合作阅读、讨论等方式自主找到问题的答案。
教学目标
本节课结束后，学生能够
读懂男孩Billy和小狗Oscar遭遇的看似平常其实暗藏隐情的小故事；
在小组阅读的过程中，通过对关键词的推断和猜测，发现问题、提出问题并
自主解决问题；
根据图片和关键词，复述故事；能力稍强者可尝试续写故事或者改编故事。

A
spaceship

planet.

spaceship,

captain

planet

captain
was
alive
in
the
spaceship.
“I
am
alone,
but
I
will
find
the
strongest
creature
and
control
it.
Then
I
will
control
the
planet.”

captain
got
out
of
his
spaceship.

spacesuit
was
uncomfortable.

air
was
fresh
on
this
planet
and
he
didn’t
take
off
