Ⅱ阅读理解
Nothing
succeeds
like
success,as
every
parent
of
a
straight-A
student
knows,but
trying
to
stress
academic
excellence
by
telling
your
child
“You’re
so
smart!”
may
be
counterproductive.Why According
to
a
2017
study,children
who
think
their
intelligence
is
fixed
are
less
likely
to
pay
attention
to
and
bounce
back(重整旗鼓)
from
mistakes
than
children
who
think
intelligence
can
grow
and
change.
In
the
study,researchers
looked
at
123
children.The
team
assessed
the
children
to
determine
whether
they
had
a
“growth
mindset”(believing
that
you
can
work
harder
to
get
smarter),or
a
“fixed
mindset”(believing
that
your
intelligence
is
unable
to
change).They
then
asked
the
children
to
complete
a
fast-paced
computer
accuracy
task
while
their
brain
activity
was
recorded.During
the
recording,researchers
noted
that
brain
activity
stopped
within
a
half-second
after
making
a
mistake,as
children
became
aware
of
their
mistake
and
paid
closer
attention
to
what
went
wrong.The
larger
the
brain
response
was,the
more
the
child
focused
on
the
mistake.Based
on
the
data,they
concluded
that
children
with
a
“growth
mindset”
were
much
more
likely
to
have
a
larger
brain
response
after
making
a
mistake.While
children
with
a
“fixed
mindset”
were
able
to
“bounce
back”,only
if
they
gave
their
full
attention
to
the
mistake.
For
parents,the
lessons
are
clear:Don’t
pay
your
children
compliments
that
suggest
that
intelligence
is
fixed.If
your
children
hands
you
an
A+
score,don’t
say,“You’re
so
smart!”Instead,say,“Wow,that
studying
really
paid
off!”or“You
clearly
mastered
this
material—way
to
go!”Note
the
effort,not
the
intelligence.
Besides,many
parents
shy
away
from
addressing
their
children’s
mistakes,telling
them
“It’s
OK.You’ll
get
it
the
next
time”
without
offering
them
the
chances
to
figure
out
what
goes
wrong.Instead,it’s
better
to
reassure
your
children
that
mistakes
happen,and
work
to
figure
out
where
and
how
they
make
the
mistake.

is

that
sometimes
it
is
hard
to

being

an

part
in
shaping
our

●Look

Ⅳ概要写作
阅读下面短文,根据其内容写一篇60词左右的内容概要。
According
to
most
people,after
a
long
period
of
studying
or
working,we
need
to
have
a
rest
to
refresh
ourselves.However,that
may
not
be
the
case.According
to
a
recent
report,you
don’t
need
the
break
as
much
as
you
may
think
that
makes
you
feel
less
tired.
Scientists
have
long
assumed
that
willpower
is
a
limited
resource,which
is
why
you
feel
the
need
to
have
a
rest,have
a
snack
and
then
get
back
to
task
when
you
are
feeling
better.They
argue
that
the
only
way
it
restores
willpower
is
by
rest,food
or
entertainment.
But
psychologists
have
challenged
this
theory,saying
weak
willpower
is
all
in
your
head.They
have
found
that
people’s
belief
in
willpower
determines
how
long
and
how
well
they’ll
be
able
to
work
on
tough
mental
exercise.“If
you
think
of
willpower
as
something
that
is
not
really
used
up,you
can
go
on
and
on,”said
Professor
Veronika
Job.
The
researchers
designed
four
experiments
to
test
students’
belief
in
willpower.After
a
tiring
task,those
who
believed,or
were
led
to
believe
that
willpower
is
a
limited
resource,performed
worse
on
standard
concentration
tests
than
those
who
thought
of
willpower
as
something
they
had
more
control
over.They
also
found
that
leading
up
to
the
final
exam
week,students
who
believed
the
limited
resource
theory
ate
junk
food
24
percent
more
often
than
those
who
believed
they
had
more
control
in
resisting
the
temptation.
Mr.Job
said,“The
theory
that
willpower
is
a
limited
resource
is
interesting.Belief
in
willpower
as
a
non-limited
resource
makes
people
stronger
in
their
ability
to
work
through
challenges.”
The
findings
can
help
people
who
are
battling
against
temptation.Willpower
isn’t
driven
by
a
biologically-based
process
as
much
as
we
used
to
think.The
belief
in
it
is
what
influences
your
behaviors.

参考答案:
Ⅰ.语法填空
本文是一篇说明文,主要介绍了中国实体书店的现状以及西西弗书店的发展历程。
1
which 【解析】
分析句子结构可知,空处引导非限制性定语从句,修饰前面的整个句子,且从句中缺少主语,所以用which引导该从句。
2
competition 【解析】根据语境以及空前的定冠词the可推知,此处应用compete的名词形式competition,表示“竞争”。
3
biggest 【解析】根据空前的“one
of
the”和空后的“bookstore
chains
in
China”及语境可推知,此处应用big的最高级形式。
4
as 【解析】
serve
as(适合作……用)为固定用法,此处表示西西弗书店的成功是一个很好的例子。
5
Founded 【解析】根据语境并分析句子结构可知,found与其逻辑主语Sisyphe之间为动宾关系,故用其过去分词形式。
6
selling 【解析】devote
oneself
to
doing
sth.(致力于做某事)中的to为介词,介词后面应接动名词形式,故填selling。
7
creative 【解析】修饰名词应用形容词,故用creative修饰其后的“cultural
products”表示“创造性的文化产品”。
8
enables
【解析】它也使人们能够享受阅读和饮用咖啡的时光。根据语境并分析句子结构可知,此处需要谓语动词;根据上文中opens可知,此处应用一般现在时,且空前的主语it是第三人称单数,所以填enables。
9
it 【解析】分析句子结构可知,后面的动词不定式为真正的主语,故用代词it做形式主语。
10
has
offered 【解析】“So
far”为现在完成时的标志,且根据语境可知,offer与其主语“the
government”为主动关系,所以此处应填has
offered。
Ⅱ.阅读理解
本文是一篇说明文,主要讲了父母要留意孩子的努力而非智力,在孩子犯错后,父母要引导孩子正确地对待错误。
1
A 【解析】词义猜测题。根据第一段最后一句可知,根据2017年的一项研究,那些认为自己的智力是固定的孩子比那些认为智力是可以提高和改变的孩子更不可能将注意力集中于错误,并从错误中振作起来。再结合语境可推知,画线词与A项(相反的)含义相近。
2
D 【解析】推理判断题。根据第二段倒数第三句和倒数第二句可推知,具有“成长思维模式”的孩子更加关注其所犯的错误。
3
A 【解析】细节理解题。根据第三段最后一句可知,应避免过度强调智力。
4
D 【解析】细节理解题。根据第四段最后一句可知,当孩子犯错误时,父母应该与他们一起弄清错误的地方以及是如何犯错的。
Ⅲ.七选五
本文是一篇说明文。文章提供了如何留下好的第一印象的建议。
1
G 【解析】本空前一句讲的是外表是判断我们是谁的第一条线索。本空后一句讲的是穿着合适也意味着这个人对我们来说比较重要。G项与上下文语意一致,都讲述了穿衣的重要性。故选G。
2
C 【解析】本空前一句讲的是如果是商务环境,请注意着装规则或文化;本空后一句讲的是在这里竖起大拇指的意思未必和在其他的地方一样。C项起着承上启下的作用。故选C。
3
E 【解析】下文提到假笑可能弊大于利,对E项(不要假装微笑,否则别人会怀疑你的诚意)进行论证。故选E。
4
D 【解析】根据本空的前一句可知,有时很难突然强颜欢笑;D项对上一句补充说明。故选D。
5
A 【解析】根据本空前一句可知,A项对前一句进一步补充说明。故选A。

it
is
early
to
say
the
boom
of
physical
bookstores
has
come,but
definitely,we
see
the
turning
point
to
them.

Nothing
succeeds
like
success,as
every
parent
of
a
straight-A
student
knows,but
trying
to
stress
academic
excellence
by
telling
your
child
“You’re
so
smart!”
may
be
counterproductive.Why According
to
a
2017
study,children
who
think
their
intelligence
is
fixed
are
less
likely
to
pay
attention
to
and
bounce
back(重整旗鼓)
from
mistakes
than
children
who
think
intelligence
can
grow
and
change.
In
the
study,researchers
looked
at
123
children.The
team
assessed
the
children
to
determine
whether
they
had
a
“growth
mindset”(believing
that
you
can
work
harder
to
get
smarter),or
a
“fixed
mindset”(believing
that
your
intelligence
is
unable
to
change).They
then
asked
the
children
to
complete
a
fast-paced
computer
accuracy
task
while
their
brain
activity
was
recorded.During
the
recording,researchers
noted
that
brain
activity
stopped
within
a
half-second
after
making
a
mistake,as
children
became
aware
of
their
mistake
and
paid
closer
attention
to
what
went
wrong.The
larger
the
brain
response
was,the
more
the
child
focused
on
the
mistake.Based
on
the
data,they
concluded
that
children
with
a
“growth
mindset”
were
much
more
likely
to
have
a
larger
brain
response
after
making
a
mistake.While
children
with
a
“fixed
mindset”
were
able
to
“bounce
back”,only
if
they
gave
their
full
attention
to
the
mistake.
For
parents,the
lessons
are
clear:Don’t
pay
your
children
compliments
that
suggest
that
intelligence
is
fixed.If
your
children
hands
you
an
A+
score,don’t
say,“You’re
so
smart!”Instead,say,“Wow,that
studying
really
paid
off!”or“You
clearly
mastered
this
material—way
to
go!”Note
the
effort,not
the
intelligence.
Besides,many
parents
shy
away
from
addressing
their
children’s
mistakes,telling
them
“It’s
OK.You’ll
get
it
the
next
time”
without
offering
them
the
chances
to
figure
out
what
goes
wrong.Instead,it’s
better
to
reassure
your
children
that
mistakes
happen,and
work
to
figure
out
where
and
how
they
make
the
mistake.

Leaving
a
good
impression
can
be
done
in
different
ways,from
clothing
to
posture,and
from
talking
style
to
body
language.Below
are
several
tips
for
you
to
begin
with.
●Physical
appearance
matters.We’re
visual
creatures
after
all.Physical
appearance
is
the
first
clue
one
relies
on
to
judge
who
we
are. 1 It
also
means
the
person
means
something
to
us
by
dressing
properly.If
it
is
a
business
setting,be
aware
of
the
dress
rule
or
culture. 2
A

does
not
mean
the
same
elsewhere.So
do
the
research!

●
3 A
fake
(假的)
smile
can
potentially
do
more
harm
than
good
in
our
attempts
to
leave
a
good
impression.It
is
understandable
that
sometimes
it
is
hard
to
suddenly
force
a
smile. 4 Remember
being
positive
plays
an
important
part
in
shaping
our
first
impression.
●Look
into
people’s
eyes
until
you
see
the
colors
of
their
irises
(虹膜).Keeping
eye
contact
delivers
a
sense
of
friendship
to
the
people
we
interact
with.Consequently,they
feel
more
connected
to
us
and
tend
to
be
more
positive
toward
the
interaction. 5 Well,try
to
identify
the
color
of
the
others’
irises.Get
it
That
makes
a
good

contact
example.
Are
these
the
impression
we
want
to
leave
Stop
staring
at
the
ground
and
look
at
people
in
the
eye
then!
A.What
makes
a
quality
eye
contact
B.How
does
eye
contact
affect
interaction
C.The
requirement
varies
from
culture
to
culture.
D.Then
at
least
try
not
to
look
discouraging
and
angry!
E.Don’t
fake
a
smile,or
people
will
doubt
your
sincerity.
F.Always
smile
while
interacting
with
others,especially
with
a
new
friend.
G.Besides,it
is
a
way
to
show
respect
by
choosing
appropriate
clothes
for
different
settings.

According
to
most
people,after
a
long
period
of
studying
or
working,we
need
to
have
a
rest
to
refresh
ourselves.However,that
may
not
be
the
case.According
to
a
recent
report,you
don’t
need
the
break
as
much
as
you
may
think
that
makes
you
feel
less
tired.
Scientists
have
long
assumed
that
willpower
is
a
limited
resource,which
is
why
you
feel
the
need
to
have
a
rest,have
a
snack
and
then
get
back
to
task
when
you
are
feeling
better.They
argue
that
the
only
way
it
restores
willpower
is
by
rest,food
or
entertainment.
But
psychologists
have
challenged
this
theory,saying
weak
willpower
is
all
in
your
head.They
have
found
that
people’s
belief
in
willpower
determines
how
long
and
how
well
they’ll
be
able
to
work
on
tough
mental
exercise.“If
you
think
of
willpower
as
something
that
is
not
really
used
up,you
can
go
on
and
on,”said
Professor
Veronika
Job.
The
researchers
designed
four
experiments
to
test
students’
belief
in
willpower.After
a
tiring
task,those
who
believed,or
were
led
to
believe
that
willpower
is
a
limited
resource,performed
worse
on
standard
concentration
tests
than
those
who
thought
of
willpower
as
something
they
had
more
control
over.They
also
found
that
leading
up
to
the
final
exam
week,students
who
believed
the
limited
resource
theory
ate
junk
food
24
percent
more
often
than
those
who
believed
they
had
more
control
in
resisting
the
temptation.
Mr.Job
said,“The
theory
that
willpower
is
a
limited
resource
is
interesting.Belief
in
willpower
as
a
non-limited
resource
makes
people
stronger
in
their
ability
to
work
through
challenges.”
The
findings
can
help
people
who
are
battling
against
temptation.Willpower
isn’t
driven
by
a
biologically-based
process
as
much
as
we
used
to
think.The
belief
in
it
is
what
influences
your
behaviors.
