一、阅读理解
A
(2020·天津)

After
years
of
observing
human
nature,
I
have
decided
that
two
qualities
make
the
difference
between
men
of
great
achievement
and
men
of
average
performance
curiosity
and
discontent.
I
have
never
known
an
outstanding
man
who
lacked
either.
And
I
have
never
known
an
average
man
who
had
both.
The
two
belong
together.

Together,
these
deep
human
urges
(驱策力)
count
for
much
more
that
ambition.
Galileo
was
not
merely
ambitious
when
he
dropped
objects
of
varying
weights
from
the
Leaning
Tower
at
Pisa
and
timed
their
fall
to
the
ground.
Like
Galileo,
all
the
great
names
in
history
were
curious
and
asked
in
discontent,
"Why
Why
Why "
Fortunately,
curiosity
and
discontent
don't
have
to
be
learned.
We
are
born
with
them
and
need
only
recapture
them.

"The
great
man,"
said
Mencius
(孟子),
"is
he
who
does
not
lose
his
child's
heart."
Yet
most
of
us
do
lose
it.
We
stop
asking
questions.
We
stop
challenging
custom.
We
just
follow
the
crowd.
And
the
crowd
desires
restful
average.
It
encourages
us
to
occupy
our
own
little
corner,
to
avoid
foolish
leaps
into
the
dark,
to
be
satisfied.

Most
of
us
meet
new
people,
and
new
ideas,
with
hesitation.
But
once
having
met
and
liked
them,
we
think
how
terrible
it
would
have
been,
had
we
missed
the
chance.
We
will
probably
have
to
force
ourselves
to
waken
our
curiosity
and
discontent
and
keep
them
awake.

How
should
you
start
Modestly,
so
as
not
to
become
discouraged.
I
think
of
one
friend
who
couldn't
arrange
flowers
to
satisfy
herself.
She
was
curious
about
how
the
experts
did
it.
How
she
is
one
of
the
experts,
writing
books
on
flower
arrangement.

One
way
to
begin
is
to
answer
your
own
excuses.
You
haven't
any
special
ability
Most
people
don't;
there
are
only
a
few
geniuses.
You
haven't
any
time
That's
good because
it's
always
the
people
with
no
time
who
get
things
done.
Harriet
Stowe,
mother
of
six,
wrote
parts
of
Uncle
Tom's
Cabin
while
cooking.
You're
too
old
Remember
that
Thomas
Costain
was
57
when
he
published
his
first
novel,
and
that
Grandma
Moses
showed
her
first
pictures
when
she
was
78.

However
you
start,
remember
there
is
no
better
time
to
start
than
right
now,
for
you'll
never
be
more
alive
than
you
are
at
this
moment.

(2020·天津)

"They
tell
me
that
you'd
like
to
make
a
statue(塑像)
of
me-is
that
correct,
Miss
Vinnie
Ream "

The
deep,
gentle
voice
helped
calm
the
nervous
girl.
Asking
a
favor
of
the
President
of
the
United
States
was
no
casual
matter,
especially
for
a
seventeen-year-old
girl.

"Yes,
sir,"
she
replied,
her
dark
eyes
meeting
his.
"I
wouldn't
have
duo
ask
you,
but
my
teacher,
Mr.
Mills,
says
I
am
ready.
I
plan
to
make
it
in
an
admirable
manner.
"

President
Lincoln
smiled.
"Painters,
sculptors-they've
all
tried
to
make
the
best
of
this
ordinary
face,
but
I'm
afraid
there's
not
much
hope.
What
did
you
have
in
mind,
Miss
Ream
A
bust(半身像) "

Before
Vinnie
could
say
yes,
the
President
hurried
on,
a
shade
of
apology
in
his
voice.

"Of
course-I
shouldn't
have
asked.
A
full-length
pose
would
be
much
too
big
a
project
for
a
young
woman
your
size.
"

Vinnie's
face
turned
red.
She
realized
she
looked
like
a
child,
with
her
tiny
figure.
"Small
does
not
mean
weak,
sir,"
she
defended
herself.
"I
was
born
in
the
country
of
Wisconsin.
I've
driven
teams
of
horses
and
carried
water.
Making
a
full-length
clay(粘土)
figure
would
not
exhaust
my
strength-and
that
is
what
I
intend
to
do!"

The
President's
eyes,
brightened
at
her
show
of
spirit.
"Sorry,
madam,
I
have
underestimated
you
as
I
didn't
know
your
background."

But
his
smile
faded
as
he
rubbed
his
beard
with
bony
fingers,
in
thought.
"Miss
Ream,"
he
sighed,
"I'd
like
to
let
you
do
it,
but
as
you
know,
we
are
in
the
middle
of
a
war.
How
could
I
possibly
take
the
time
to
pose
for
a
sculpture
now
I
hardly
have
a
minute
to
myself."

Vinnie
glanced
around
and
noted
the
size
of
his
office.
"I
work
quickly,"
she
said.
Her
voice
was
soft
but
confident
as
she
pointed
to
the
corner
near
the
windows.
"If
I
were
to
bring
my
clay
here
and
work
for
three
hours
every
afternoon,
I
could
complete
most
of
the
project
while
you
are
at
your
desk."

The
President
seemed
to
consider
her
idea
seriously.
He
got
up
and
shook
Vinnie's
hand
warmly,
"I've
heard
that
you
are
a
talented
young
woman,
and
I
have
found
you
charming
and
intelligent
as
well.
I
cannot
make
my
decision
immediately,
but
you
will
hear
from
me
soon."

The
very
next
day,
Vinnie

President.

C
(2020·浙江)

I
am
an
active
playgoer
and
play-reader,
and
perhaps
my
best
reason
for
editing
this
book
is
a
hope
of
sharing
my
enthusiasm
for
the
theater
with
others.
To
do
this
I
have
searched
through
dozens
of
plays
to
find
the
ones
that
I
think
best
show
the
power
and
purpose
of
the
short
play.

Each
play
has
a
theme
or
central
idea
which
the
playwright(剧作家)
hopes
to
get
across
through
dialogue
and
action.
A
few
characters
are
used
to
create
a
single
impression
growing
out
of
the
theme.
It
is
not
my
intention
to
point
out
the
central
theme
of
each
of
the
plays
in
this
collection,
for
that
would,
indeed,
ruin
the
pleasure
of
reading,
discussing,
and
thinking
about
the
plays
and
the
effectiveness
of
the
playwright.
However,
a
variety
of
types
is
represented
here.
These
include
comedy,
satire,
poignant
drama,
historical
and
regional
drama.
To
show
the
versatility(多面性)
of
the
short
play,
I
have
included
a
guidance
play,
a
radio
play
and
a
television
play.

Among
the
writers
of
the
plays
in
this
collection,
Paul
Green,
Susan
Glaspell,
Maxwell
Anderson,
Thornton
Wilder,
William
Saroyan,
and
Tennessee
Williams
have
all
received
Pulitzer
Prizes
for
their
contributions
to
the
theater.
More
information
about
the
playwrights
will
be
found
at
the
end
of
this
book.

To
get
the
most
out
of
reading
these
plays,
try
to
picture
the
play
on
stage,
with
you,
the
reader,
in
the
audience.
The
houselights
dim(变暗).
The
curtains
are
about
to
open,
and
in
a
few
minutes
the
action
and
dialogue
will
tell
you
the
story.

B.He
has
a
deep
love
for
the

C.He
is
a
professional
stage

D.He
likes
reading
short
plays
to
others.
(2)What
does
the
author
avoid
doing
in
his
work
A.Stating
the
plays'
central
ideas.
B.Selecting
works
by
famous
playwrights.
C.Including
various
types
of
plays.
D.Offering

short

真题滚动练
一、阅读理解
A
(2020·天津)

After
years
of
observing
human
nature,
I
have
decided
that
two
qualities
make
the
difference
between
men
of
great
achievement
and
men
of
average
performance
curiosity
and
discontent.
I
have
never
known
an
outstanding
man
who
lacked
either.
And
I
have
never
known
an
average
man
who
had
both.
The
two
belong
together.

Together,
these
deep
human
urges
(驱策力)
count
for
much
more
that
ambition.
Galileo
was
not
merely
ambitious
when
he
dropped
objects
of
varying
weights
from
the
Leaning
Tower
at
Pisa
and
timed
their
fall
to
the
ground.
Like
Galileo,
all
the
great
names
in
history
were
curious
and
asked
in
discontent,
"Why
Why
Why "
Fortunately,
curiosity
and
discontent
don't
have
to
be
learned.
We
are
born
with
them
and
need
only
recapture
them.

"The
great
man,"
said
Mencius
(孟子),
"is
he
who
does
not
lose
his
child's
heart."
Yet
most
of
us
do
lose
it.
We
stop
asking
questions.
We
stop
challenging
custom.
We
just
follow
the
crowd.
And
the
crowd
desires
restful
average.
It
encourages
us
to
occupy
our
own
little
corner,
to
avoid
foolish
leaps
into
the
dark,
to
be
satisfied.

Most
of
us
meet
new
people,
and
new
ideas,
with
hesitation.
But
once
having
met
and
liked
them,
we
think
how
terrible
it
would
have
been,
had
we
missed
the
chance.
We
will
probably
have
to
force
ourselves
to
waken
our
curiosity
and
discontent
and
keep
them
awake.

How
should
you
start
Modestly,
so
as
not
to
become
discouraged.
I
think
of
one
friend
who
couldn't
arrange
flowers
to
satisfy
herself.
She
was
curious
about
how
the
experts
did
it.
How
she
is
one
of
the
experts,
writing
books
on
flower
arrangement.

One
way
to
begin
is
to
answer
your
own
excuses.
You
haven't
any
special
ability
Most
people
don't;
there
are
only
a
few
geniuses.
You
haven't
any
time
That's
good because
it's
always
the
people
with
no
time
who
get
things
done.
Harriet
Stowe,
mother
of
six,
wrote
parts
of
Uncle
Tom's
Cabin
while
cooking.
You're
too
old
Remember
that
Thomas
Costain
was
57
when
he
published
his
first
novel,
and
that
Grandma
Moses
showed
her
first
pictures
when
she
was
78.

However
you
start,
remember
there
is
no
better
time
to
start
than
right
now,
for
you'll
never
be
more
alive
than
you
are
at
this
moment.

C.Creativity

D.Greatness

Keys
to
Achievement
D.Never
Too

【答案】
(1)D
(2)D
(3)B
(4)C
(5)C
【解析】本文是一篇议论文,论述了获得成就的两个关键因素——好奇心和不满足。
(1)考查推理判断。根据第一段“After
years
of
observing
human
nature,
I
have
decided
that
two
qualities
make
the
difference
between
men
of
great
achievement
and
men
of
average
performance
curiosity
and
discontent.
I
have
never
known
an
outstanding
man
who
lacked
either.
And
I
have
never
known
an
average
man
who
had
both.
The
two
belong
together.”可知作者经过多年对人性的观察,认为成就非凡的人和平庸的人的区别在于好奇心和不满足,而且两者是相辅相成的。因此,作者写第一段的目的是提出一个论点。故选D。
(2)考查推理判断。根据第二段中的“Like
Galileo,
all
the
great
names
in
history
were
curious
and
asked
in
discontent,
‘Why
Why
Why ’”像伽利略一样,历史上所有的伟人都感到好奇,并不满地问:“为什么?为什么?为什么?”可推知,伽利略的例子告诉我们,伟大来自于持久的探索欲望。故选D。
(3)考查细节理解。根据第二段中的“Like
Galileo,
all
the
great
names
in
history
were
curious
and
asked
in
discontent,
‘Why
Why
Why ’”像伽利略一样,历史上所有的伟人都感到好奇,并不满地问:“为什么?为什么?为什么?”;以及第四段中的“‘The
great
man,’
said
Mencius
(孟子),
‘is
he
who
does
not
lose
his
child's
heart.’
Yet
most
of
us
do
lose
it.
We
stop
asking
questions.
We
stop
challenging
custom.
We
just
follow
the
crowd.”孟子认为“不失去孩子的心,就是伟大的人。”然而,我们大多数人确实失去了它。我们不再问问题。我们不再挑战习俗。我们只是随大流。可知,你可以通过培养了一个善于提问的头脑,来重新获得好奇心和不满。故选B。
(4)考查推理判断。根据第六段中的“How
she
is
one
of
the
experts,
writing
books
on
flower
arrangement.”及第七段中的“You
haven't
any
special
ability
Most
people
don't;
there
are
only
a
few
geniuses.
You
haven't
any
time
That's
good,
because
it's
always
the
people
with
no
time
who
get
things
done.”以及列举了Thomas
Costain在57岁时出版了他的第一部小说,Grandma
Moses在78岁时展示了她的第一批照片。可知,这两段想告诉我们“缺乏天赋和时间不是不采取行动的理由”。故选C。
(5)考查主旨大意。根据第一段“After
years
of
observing
human
nature,
I
have
decided
that
two
qualities
make
the
difference
between
men
of
great
achievement
and
men
of
average
performance
curiosity
and
discontent.
I
have
never
known
an
outstanding
man
who
lacked
either.
And
I
have
never
known
an
average
man
who
had
both.
The
two
belong
together.”及下文论述可知,本文主要论述了获得成就的两个关键因素——好奇心和不满足。故选C。
【点评】本题考点涉及细节理解,推理判断和主旨大意三个题型的考查,是一篇教育类阅读,要求考生在捕捉细节信息的基础上,进一步根据上下文的逻辑关系,进行分析,推理,概括和归纳,从而选出正确答案。

"They
tell
me
that
you'd
like
to
make
a
statue(塑像)
of
me-is
that
correct,
Miss
Vinnie
Ream "

The
deep,
gentle
voice
helped
calm
the
nervous
girl.
Asking
a
favor
of
the
President
of
the
United
States
was
no
casual
matter,
especially
for
a
seventeen-year-old
girl.

"Yes,
sir,"
she
replied,
her
dark
eyes
meeting
his.
"I
wouldn't
have
duo
ask
you,
but
my
teacher,
Mr.
Mills,
says
I
am
ready.
I
plan
to
make
it
in
an
admirable
manner.
"

President
Lincoln
smiled.
"Painters,
sculptors-they've
all
tried
to
make
the
best
of
this
ordinary
face,
but
I'm
afraid
there's
not
much
hope.
What
did
you
have
in
mind,
Miss
Ream
A
bust(半身像) "

Before
Vinnie
could
say
yes,
the
President
hurried
on,
a
shade
of
apology
in
his
voice.

"Of
course-I
shouldn't
have
asked.
A
full-length
pose
would
be
much
too
big
a
project
for
a
young
woman
your
size.
"

Vinnie's
face
turned
red.
She
realized
she
looked
like
a
child,
with
her
tiny
figure.
"Small
does
not
mean
weak,
sir,"
she
defended
herself.
"I
was
born
in
the
country
of
Wisconsin.
I've
driven
teams
of
horses
and
carried
water.
Making
a
full-length
clay(粘土)
figure
would
not
exhaust
my
strength-and
that
is
what
I
intend
to
do!"

The
President's
eyes,
brightened
at
her
show
of
spirit.
"Sorry,
madam,
I
have
underestimated
you
as
I
didn't
know
your
background."

But
his
smile
faded
as
he
rubbed
his
beard
with
bony
fingers,
in
thought.
"Miss
Ream,"
he
sighed,
"I'd
like
to
let
you
do
it,
but
as
you
know,
we
are
in
the
middle
of
a
war.
How
could
I
possibly
take
the
time
to
pose
for
a
sculpture
now
I
hardly
have
a
minute
to
myself."

Vinnie
glanced
around
and
noted
the
size
of
his
office.
"I
work
quickly,"
she
said.
Her
voice
was
soft
but
confident
as
she
pointed
to
the
corner
near
the
windows.
"If
I
were
to
bring
my
clay
here
and
work
for
three
hours
every
afternoon,
I
could
complete
most
of
the
project
while
you
are
at
your
desk."

The
President
seemed
to
consider
her
idea
seriously.
He
got
up
and
shook
Vinnie's
hand
warmly,
"I've
heard
that
you
are
a
talented
young
woman,
and
I
have
found
you
charming
and
intelligent
as
well.
I
cannot
make
my
decision
immediately,
but
you
will
hear
from
me
soon."

The
very
next
day,
Vinnie
received
an
invitation
from
the
President.
(1)What

【答案】
(1)B
(2)D
(3)C
(4)D
(5)A
【解析】本文是一篇记叙文,Vinnie
Ream向林肯总统提出给他做一个全身雕像的请求,一开始林肯总统对此表示怀疑,在Vinnie的不断努力争取后,最终第二天Vinnie收到了林肯总统的邀请。
(1)考查细节理解。根据第三段中的“I
wouldn't
have
dared
to
ask
you,
but
my
teacher,
Mr.
Mills,
says
I
am
ready.
I
plan
to
make
it
in
an
admirable
manner.
“我本来不敢问你,但我的老师Mills先生说我准备好了。我打算用一种令人钦佩的方式来做这件事。可知,Mills先生的话给了Vinnie向林肯总统提出要求的底气。故选B。
(2)考查推理判断。根据第五段中的“Of
course-
I
shouldn't
have
asked.
A
full-length
pose
would
be
much
too
big
a
project
for
a
young
woman
your
size.”当然-我不应该问的。对于你这种身材的年轻女性来说,全身雕像太大了。可推知,林肯总统首先对Vinnie的请求表示怀疑。故选D。
(3)考查细节理解。根据第六段中的“I've
driven
teams
of
horses
and
carried
water.
Making
a
full-length
clay
figure
would
not
exhaust
my
strength-and
this
is
what
I
intend
to
do!”我赶过马队,提过水。做一个全身雕像不会耗尽我的力量-我还正想这样呢!可知,Vinnie通过强调她以前所做的繁重劳动,证实了她有能力制作一个全身雕像。故选C。
(4)考查推理判断。根据倒数第四段中的“‘Miss
Ream,’
he
sighed,
‘I'd
like
to
let
you
do
it,
but
as
you
know,
we
are
in
the

How
could

for
a

now
I

’“可知,总统提到自己没有时间摆姿势来让Vinnie做雕像;以及倒数第三段“Vinnie
glanced
around
and
noted
the
size
of
his
office.
‘I
work
quickly,’
she
said.
Her
voice
was
soft
but

as
she
pointed
to
the
corner
near
the
windows.
‘If
I
were

for
three
hours
every
afternoon,
I
could
complete
most
of
the
project
while
you
are
at
your
desk.’”Vinnie环顾四周,注意到了他办公室的大小。“我干得很快,”她说。她指着靠近窗户的那个角落,声音柔和而自信。“如果我把我的粘土带到这里来,每天下午工作三个小时,我就可以在你办公的时候完成大部分的项目。”可推知,上文中总统提到自己没有时间摆姿势来让Vinnie做雕像,于是Vinnie想选择靠近窗户的角落,是为了避免干扰总统的工作。故选D。
(5)考查推理判断。纵观全文可知,本文讲述了Vinnie
Ream向林肯总统提出给他做一个全身雕像的请求,一开始林肯总统对此表示怀疑,在Vinnie的不断努力争取后,最终第二天Vinnie收到了林肯总统的邀请。可推知,这个故事表达了意志坚强的人能达到目标的思想。故选A。
【点评】本题考点涉及细节理解和推理判断两个题型的考查,是一篇故事类阅读,考生需要准确捕捉细节信息,并根据上下文进行逻辑推理,从而选出正确答案。

reason
for
editing
this
book
is
a
hope
of
sharing
my
enthusiasm
for
the
theater
with
others.
To
do
this
I
have
searched
through
dozens
of
plays
to
find
the
ones
that
I
think
best
show
the
power
and
purpose
of
the
short
play.

Each
play
has
a
theme
or
central
idea
which
the
playwright(剧作家)
hopes
to
get
across
through
dialogue
and
action.
A
few
characters
are
used
to
create
a
single
impression
growing
out
of
the
theme.
It
is
not
my
intention
to
point
out
the
central
theme
of
each
of
the
plays
in
this
collection,
for
that
would,
indeed,
ruin
the
pleasure
of
reading,
discussing,
and
thinking
about
the
plays
and
the
effectiveness
of
the
playwright.
However,
a
variety
of
types
is
represented
here.
These
include
comedy,
satire,
poignant
drama,
historical
and
regional
drama.
To
show
the
versatility(多面性)
of
the
short
play,
I
have
included
a
guidance
play,
a
radio
play
and
a
television
play.

Among
the
writers
of
the
plays
in
this
collection,
Paul
Green,
Susan
Glaspell,
Maxwell
Anderson,
Thornton
Wilder,
William
Saroyan,
and
Tennessee
Williams
have
all
received
Pulitzer
Prizes
for
their
contributions
to
the
theater.
More
information
about
the
playwrights
will
be
found
at
the
end
of
this
book.

To
get
the
most
out
of
reading
these
plays,
try
to
picture
the
play
on
stage,
with
you,
the
reader,
in
the
audience.
The
houselights
dim(变暗).
The
curtains
are
about
to
open,
and
in
a
few
minutes
the
action
and
dialogue
will
tell
you
the
story.

【解析】本文是一篇应用文,介绍了作者的书籍的序言部分,包括其编写目的,书籍内容主体,以及如何实现有乐趣的阅读本书的建议。
(1)考查细节理解。根据第一段中的“…and
perhaps
my
best
reason
for
editing
this
book
is
a
hope
of
sharing
my
enthusiasm
for
the
theater
with
others”作者编辑这本书的最好的原因是希望与他人分享对戏剧的热情,因此可知作者对于戏剧饱含热情。故选B。
(2)考查细节理解。根据第二段中的“It
is
not
my
intention
to
point
out
the
central
theme
of
each
of
the
plays
in
this
collection,
for

would,
indeed,
ruin
the
pleasure
of
reading,
discussing,
and
thinking
about
the
plays
and
the

these
plays,
try

is
a
hope
of
sharing
my
enthusiasm
for
the
theater
with
others”可知,该句内容应是书籍的“自序”内容;再根据最后一段中的“To
get
the
most
out
of
the
reading
these
plays,
try
to
picture
the
play
on
stage,
with
you,
the

【答案】
C;B;A;G;E
【解析】这是一篇记叙文,介绍披头士摇滚乐队的崛起和对音乐的引领。
(1)段中句。根据后一句的at
that
time可知此处涉及时间,the
Beatles
entered
the
world
of
music 与developed对应,故答案为C。
(2)段中句。有前后句中的they可将答案范围缩小,根据前一句中的
extremely
popular
与选项B中的
Even
their
hairstyles
became
major
trends
呼应,故答案为B。
(3)段首句。后一句中“他们不确定how
the
Americans
would
react
to
the
new
type
of
music
” 是他们去美国前的态度,与选项A中的
decided
on
a
tour
to
the
United
States 有紧密联系。故答案为A。
(4)段中句。本段描述披头士乐队在美国的受欢迎程度。前一句
fans
jammed
the
airport
to
greet
them
描写粉丝们的热情,后一句中的
The
concert
was
broadcast
live
and
attracted
the
largest
one
night
audience
说明他们在开演唱会,同时选项G中的
performed
their
first
concert
in
America
,与前文提到的他们第一次到美国呼应,故答案为G。
(5)段尾句。根据前一句
Thanks
to
the
Beatles,
a
lot
of
opportunities
were
opened
up
to
new
faces
on
the
market.
感谢披头士,市场中很多机会向新面孔打开。可知此处应举例,选项E中的
Many
rock
bands
were
able
to
follow
in
the
footstep就是因为披头士乐队的影响的表现。故答案为E。
【点评】本题重在考查上下文之间的逻辑关系,答题时首先浏览文章主旨,并理解各个选项所表达的含义。然后再读短文,选出最能使上下文语义通顺的选项,注意段落大意,空格前后的关键词等信息,完成后要通读一篇,看语义是否通顺,是否符合逻辑,必要的话做适当修改。
三、完形填空

【答案】
whose;finest;be
chosen;curiosity;When/As;pointed;to
find;gently;surrounding;on
【解析】本文是一篇记叙文,一位画家画画栩栩如生,有一天他将画送给宰相时,这位睿智的老人告诉他去漓江旅行——也许他可以从世界上最伟大的艺术家那里学到一些东西。画家最后发现这位世界上最伟大的艺术家就是大自然母亲。
(1)考查定语从句。句意:中国古代有一位画家,他的画几乎栩栩如生。

paintings
were
almost
lifelike是限制性定语从句,修饰先行词artist,且在从句中作定语,故应用关系代词whose,填whose。
(2)考查形容词。句意:一天,皇帝想让人给他画一幅肖像,于是他把所有伟大的画家都请来,展示他们最好的作品,以便他挑选最好的。皇帝想要画家最好的作品,表示“最好的”此处应用形容词最高级,故填finest。
(3)考查语态。句意:画家确信他会被选中,但是当他把他的杰作送给皇帝的宰相时,这位老人笑了。he与谓语动词choose构成被动关系,且would后跟动词原形。故填be
chosen。
(4)考查名词。句意:怀着好奇心,艺术家收拾行囊离开了。with为介词,后跟名词作宾语,故填curiosity。
(5)考查状语从句。句意:当他问河岸上的村民,他在哪里可以找到这位传奇艺术家时,他们笑着指着河的下游。本句为时间状语从句,表示“当……时候”,且从句中动词asked为短暂性动作动词,不能用while引导,故应用when或as引导,填When/As。
(6)考查时态。句意:当他问河岸上的村民,他在哪里可以找到这位传奇艺术家时,他们笑着指着河的下游。根据上文“they
smiled
”的时态,可知应用一般过去时。故填pointed。
(7)考查非谓语动词。句意:第二天早上,他租了一条船,开始去找这位著名的画家。set
out
to
do
sth.固定短语,“着手做某事”,后跟不定式做目的状语。故填to
find。
(8)考查副词。句意:当小船缓缓地沿着江面移动时,山在水中的倒影使他说不出话来。此处修饰动词moved,应用副词,故填gently。
(9)考查非谓语动词。句意:当他看到雾气从河上升起,山顶上乌云环绕,他不禁流下了眼泪。分析句子结构可知。此处是独立主格结构,surround与逻辑主语clouds构成主动关系,故应用现在分词,填surrounding。
(10)考查介词。句意:这位艺术家最终被世界上最伟大的艺术家——大自然母亲所折服。on
earth固定短语,“世上”,故填on。
【点评】本题考点涉及定语从句,形容词,语态,名词,状语从句,时态,非谓语动词,副词以及介词等多个知识点的考查,是一篇故事类阅读,要求考生在理解细节信息的基础上,进一步根据上下文的逻辑关系,并结合相关语法知识,进行分析推理,从而写出正确的单词形式。
