My
First
Marathon(马拉松)
A
month
before
my
first
marathon,
one
of
my
ankles
was
injured
and
this
meant
not
running
for
two
weeks,
leaving
me
only
two
weeks
to
train.
Yet,
I
was
determined
to
go
ahead.
I
remember
back
to
my
7th
year
in
school.
In
my
first
P.
E.
class,
the
teacher
required
us
to
run
laps
and
then
hit
a
softball.
I
didn't
do
either
well.
He
later
informed
me
that
I
was
"not
athletic".
The
idea
that
I
was
"not
athletic"
stuck
with
me
for
years.
When
I
started
running
in
my
30s,
I
realized
running
was
a
battle
against
myself,
not
about
competition
or
whether
or
not
I
was
athletic.
It
was
all
about
the
battle
against
my
own
body
and
mind.
A
test
of
wills!
The
night
before
my
marathon,
I
dreamt
that
I
couldn't
even
find
the
finish
line.
I
woke
up
sweating
and
nervous,
but
ready
to
prove
something
to
myself.
Shortly
after
crossing
the
start
line,
my
shoe
laces(鞋带)
became
untied.
So
I
stopped
to
readjust.
Not
the
start
I
wanted!
At
mile
3,
I
passed
a
sign:
"GO
FOR
IT,
RUNNERS!"

By
mile
17,
I
became
out
of
breath
and
the
once
injured
ankle
hurt
badly.
Despite
the
pain,
I
stayed
the
course
walking
a
bit
and
then
running
again.
By
mile
21,
I
was
starving!
As
I
approached
mile
23,
I
could
see
my
wife
waving
a
sign.
She
is
my
biggest
fan.
She
never
minded
the
alarm
clock
sounding
at
4
a.
m.
or
questioned
my
expenses
on
running.
I
was
one
of
the
final
runners
to
finish.
But
I
finished!
And
I
got
a
medal.
In
fact,
I
got
the
same
medal
as
the
one
that
the
guy
who
came
in
first
place
had.
Determined
to
be
myself,
move
forward,
free
of
shame
and
worldly
labels(世俗标签),
I
can
now
call
myself
a
"marathon
winner".

great
effort
of
will.
C.

C

Sport
is
not
only
physically
challenging,
but
can
also
be
mentally
challenging.
Criticism
from
coaches,
parents
and
other
teammates,
as
well
as
pressure
to
win
can
create
too
much
anxiety
or
stress
for
young
athletes.
Stress
can
be
physical,
emotional,
or
psychological
and
research
has
indicated
that
it
can
lead
to
burnout.
Burnout
has
been
described
as
dropping
or
quitting
of
an
activity
that
was
at
one
time
enjoyable.

The
early
years
of
development
are
critical
years
for
learning
about
oneself.
The
sport
setting
is
one
where
valuable
experiences
can
take
place.
Young
athletes
can,
for
example,
learn
how
to
cooperate
with
others,
make
friends,
and
gain
other
social
skills
that
will
be
used
throughout
their
lives.
Coaches
and
parents
should
be
aware,
at
all
times,
that
their
feedback
to
youngsters
can
greatly
affect
their
children.
Youngsters
may
take
their
parents'
and
coaches'
criticisms
to
heart
and
find
faults
in
themselves.

Coaches
and
parents
should
also
pay
attention
that
youth
sport
participation
does
not
become
work
for
children.
The
outcome
of
the
game
should
not
be
more
important
than
the
process
of
learning
the
sport
and
other
life
lessons.
In
today's
youth
sport
setting
young
athletes
may
be
worrying
more
about
who
will
win
instead
of
enjoying
themselves
and
the
sport.
Following
a
game,
many
parents
and
coaches
focus
on
the
outcome
and
find
faults
with
youngsters,
performances.
Positive
support
should
be
provided
regardless
of
the
outcome.
Research
indicates
that
positive
support
motivates
and
has
a
greater
effect
on
learning
than
criticism.
Again,
criticism
can
create
high
levels
of
stress,
which
can
lead
to
burnout.
1.An
effective
way
to
prevent
the
burnout
of
young
athletes
is
__________.
A.to
make
sport
less
competitive
B.to
increase
their
sense
of
success
C.to
reduce
their
mental
stress
D.to
make
sport
more
challenging
2.According
to
the
passage,
sport
is
positive
for
young
people
in
that
________.
A.it
can
help
them
learn
more
about
society
B.it
enables
them
to
find
faults
in
themselves
C.it
can
provide
them
with
valuable
experiences
D.it

does
good
to

may
destroy
their
self-confidence
C.in
order
to
make
them
remember
life's
lessons
D.so
as
to
put
more
pressure
on

those
days
in
Pakistan,
there
were
limited
choices:
becoming
a
doctor
or
an
engineer,
or
entering
the
financial
world
after
getting
a
business
degree.
I
wasn’t
interested
in
engineering,
so
that
I
was
left
with
medicine
or
business.
I
couldn’t
decide.
My
uncle
suggested
that
I
do
a
work
placement(实习)
to
experience
a
for
a
month
in
an
international
company
followed
by
a
month
in
a
hospital.
After
that,
I
could
make
a
decision.
It
seemed
like
a
good
idea.
I
was
accepted
for
a
month’s
placement
at
a
foreign
bank
in
Karachi.
I
got
a
feel
for
how
the
world
of
finance
functioned,
made
new
friends,
and
generally
enjoyed
the
mostly
easy-going
work
surroundings.
The
month
passed
rapidly,
and
soon
I
began
working
at
a
leading
hospital
in
Karachi.
The
experience
couldn’t
have
been
more
different.
The
hospital
had
a
stressful
environment.
The
days
started
early
(at
7
am,
compared
to
9
am
at
the
bank),
and
were
filled
with
endless
duties.
And
the
night
calls!
This
was
crazy,
working
all
day,
through
the
night,
and
again
the
next
day.
I
began
thinking
about
my
two
experiences.
The
bank
had
offered
a
more
relaxing
atmosphere,
better
working
hours
and
less
stress.
The
hospital
was
full
of
excitement,
but
the
studying
and
training
was
difficult.
It
seemed
that
the
business
choice
was
going
to
win
out.
Near
the
end
of
my
month
at
the
hospital,
I
was
driving
home
after
an
especially
busy
night
call.
In
front
of
me
was
a
truck,
with
college
students
sitting
on
the
top.
As
the
driver
weaved
through(穿梭)
the
traffic,
I
could
see
the
boys
shaking
from
side
to
side.

答案以及解析
第一部分
阅读
第一节
A.答案:1.C;
2.C;
3.A
解析:1.推理判断题。根据“Guided
Cedar
Ridge
Hike”部分第一句“A
3-mile
(4.8
km)
hike
on
an
unpaved
path.
”(在未铺砌的小路上徒步3英里(4.8公里))可知,在这些项目中可以体验一次筋疲力尽的远足,所以排除选项A;根据“Geology
Walk”部分最后一句“Consider
walking
the
Trail
of
Time
following
the
program.”(考虑在这个项目之后走“Trail
of
Time”。)可知,在这些项目中可以体验走“Trail
of
Time”,所以排除选项B;根据“Critter
Chat”部分第一句“Learn
about
some
of
the
Grand
Canyon’s
diverse
wild
creatures
who
survive
here
in
this
place
of
extreme
changes
in
exposure
and
climate.
”(了解大峡谷中的各种各样的野生动物,他们在这个暴露和气候极端变化的地方生存。)可知,在这些项目中可以了解更多关于现存动物的信息,所以排除选项D。文中没有提到寻找恐龙化石,所以在这些项目中你不太可能体验寻找恐龙化石。故选C。
2.细节理解题。根据“Critter
Chat”部分倒第二句“Wheelchair
accessible.”(轮椅可以进入)可知,Critter
Chat项目对行走困难的人很友好。故选C。
3.细节理解题。根据“Geology
Walk”部分第一句“Learn
how
the
Grand
Canyon
formed
while
exploring
Yavapai
Geology
Museum
during
this
short
introductory
talk.”(在这个简短的介绍性讲话中在探索雅瓦派地质博物馆时了解大峡谷是如何形成的。)可知,雅瓦派地质博物馆会介绍大峡谷的形成。故选A。
B.答案:1-4CCAB
解析:1.细节理解题。根据第一段最后一句可知,马拉松赛前一个月,尽管作者脚踝受伤使得训练时间缩短,但作者仍下定决心参赛。故选C项。
2.推理判断题。根据第二段第三、四句可知,作者提到七年级的事情是为了表明自己真的没有运动天赋。故选C项。
3.细节理解题。根据倒数第二段可知,作者坚持到了最后,而且得到了一块奖牌,虽然不是第一名,但他成功地跑完了马拉松。故选A项。
4.主旨大意题。通读全文可知,作者讲述了自己跑马拉松的经历,根据最后一段可知,作者成功跑完马拉松缘于自己的毅力。故选B项。
C.答案:1-4.CCBA
解析:语篇解读:本文为一篇议论文。体育运动既是对人的体力的挑战,也是对人的心理的挑战。在体育运动中,父母和教练应对孩子多鼓励、少批评,让孩子用积极的心态去迎接挑战。
1.解析:细节理解题。由第一段中的Stress
can
be
physical,
emotional,
or
psychological
and
research
has
indicated
that
it
can
lead
to
burnout.可知C项正确。
2.解析:细节理解题。由第二段中的The
sport
setting
is
one
where
valuable
experiences
can
take
place.可知答案选C项。
3.解析:推理判断题。由最后一段中的Following
a
game,
many
parents
and
coaches
focus
on
the
outcome
and
find
faults
with
youngsters'
performances.以及Again,
criticism
can
create
high
levels
of
stress,
which
can
lead
to
burnout.可得出结论:父母和教练只顾结果而对青少年吹毛求疵,这无疑增加了他们的压力,破坏了他们的自信心,故B项正确。
4.解析:推理判断题。由最后一段可总结出父母和教练应该变批评为鼓励,以减轻孩子们的心理压力,使他们拥有积极的动机,从而更喜欢体育运动。所以A项正确。
D.答案:1-4.ADCA
解析:语篇解读:本文告诉我们,自1932年后,每届冬季奥林匹克运动会举行时,东道国与非东道国都可以为此发行纪念邮票。
1.解析:细节理解题。由第一句The
Winter
Olympics
is
also
called
the
White
Olympics.可知,答案为A项。
2.解析:细节理解题。根据第一段的第三句和第四句:
The
first
stamps
marking
the
opening
came
out
on
January
25,
1932
in
the
United
States
for
the
3rd
White
Olympics.
From
then
on,
publishing
stamps
during
the
White
Olympics
became
a
rule.可知,答案为D项。
3.解析:细节理解题。根据文章内容可知在1932年举行第3届冬季奥林匹克运动会,在1936年举行第4届冬季奥林匹克运动会,由此推知每四年举行一次。
4.解析:细节理解题。由When
the
White
Olympics
came,
the
host
countries
as
well
as
the
non-host
countries
published
stamps
to
mark
those
Games.可知,A项正确。
第二节
答案:BADFG
解析:语篇解读:这是说明文,本文就如何正确地选择并参加一些对心脏有益的体育活动给出一些建议。
①解析:根据上文的信息"Swimming,
cycling,
jogging,
skiing,
dancing,
walking
or
any
of
dozens
of
other
activities
can
help
your
heart."可知,这些活动之所以对心脏有益是因为大口呼吸,故本题选B项。
②解析:根据下文的信息"If
you
miss
an
exercise
opportunity,
do
it
in
another
way."可知,要让进行体育活动成为习惯,但可以灵活处理,故本题A项正确。
③解析:根据上文可知,本句应该跟音乐有关,而且能够entertained,这样就不会感到乏味,故选D项。
④解析:根据下文"Decide
what
kind
of
support
you
need."可知,进行某项体育活动时,需要有人支持,故本题选F项。
⑤解析:上文"You
can
slowly
increase
the
time
of
your
activities
as
you
become
more
fit."中的"increase
the
time"表明锻炼应该循序渐进,故本题G项合适。

第二节
答案:①to
②as
③using
④where
⑤its
⑥equipment
⑦hearts'
⑧millions
⑨to
communicate
⑩but
解析:①考查介词。句意:
它的历史追溯到两千多年前的古代中国。go
back
to追溯到,
故填to。
②考查介词。be
known
as被认为是。
③考查动词-ing形式。分析句子结构可知,
空前已有谓语动词,
且没有连词,
所以此处为非谓语动词。根据句子的逻辑关系可知,
设空处作伴随状语,
句子主语和use是逻辑上的主谓关系,
故填using。
④考查关系副词。Great
Britain为定语从句的先行词,
关系词在从句中作地点状语,
故填where。
⑤考查物主代词。空后是名词,
需用形容词性物主代词修饰,
故填its。
⑥考查名词构词法。空前是形容词,
所以设空处应是名词,
故填equipment。
⑦考查名词复数及所有格。空前为their,
所以heart要用复数,
同时与后面的名词content是所属关系,
故填hearts'。
⑧考查数词。millions
of数以百万计的,
故填millions。
⑨考查动词不定式。设空处应作定语,
修饰ways,
所以要用不定式,
故填to
communicate。
⑩考查连词。前后为转折关系,
故填but。

You
signed
up
for
soccer,
and
played
every
game
of
the
season.
Sure,
you
were
not
the
best
player
on
the
team,
but
most
days
you
gave
it
your
all.
Do
you
deserve
a
trophy(奖杯)

If
the
decision
is
up
to
Carol
Dweck,
the
answer
would
likely
be
no.
She's
a
psychology
professor
at
Stanford
University,
California.
She
says
a
player
doesn't
have
to
be
the
best
to
get
a
trophy,
but
those
who
receive
an
award
should
have
to
work
for
it.
She
suggests
trophies
go
to
the
most
improved
player,
or
the
one
who
contributed
most
to
the
team
spirit,
as
well
as
those
who
play
the
best.

"The
trophy
has
to
stand
for
something,"
Dweck
told
Time
for
Kids(TFK).
"If
we
give
a
trophy
to
everyone,
then
the
award
has
no
value."
Dweck
argues
that
giving
kids
trophies
for
particular
reasons,
such
as
an
improvement
in
a
sport,
teaches
kids
that
adults
value
hard
work.

Others
say
that
there's
no
harm
in
giving
awards
to
all
kids
who
play
a
sport,
regardless
of
how
they
played
or
whether
or
not
they
improved.

"I
think
we
should
encourage
kids'
participation
in
sports,"
says
Kenneth
Barish,
a
psychology
professor
at
Weill
Cornell
Medical
College,
in
New
York
City.
"A
trophy
is
one
way
to
encourage
kids'
efforts."

Barish
argues
that
when
we
single
out
only
the
best
or
even
the
most
improved
players
with
a
trophy,
we
are
teaching
kids
the
wrong
lesson.
We are
sending the
message
that
winning
is
everything.
"Winning
is
only
part
of
the
equation(等式),"
Barish
told
TFK.
"Playing
a
sport
also
teaches
kids
about
teamwork
and
the
importance
of
exercise."

There
will
be
plenty
of
opportunities
for
kids
to
learn
about
competition
as
they
get
older,
says
Barish.
They'll
soon
realise
that
only
one
soccer
team
wins
the
FIFA
World
Cup
and
only
one
football
team
wins
the
Super
Bowl.
For
now,
he
thinks
there's
nothing
wrong
with
letting
all
kids
who
play
a
sport
feel
like
winners.
That
means
trophies
for
everyone.
1.According
to
Carol
Dweck,
which
player
should
receive
a
trophy
A.Tony,
the
most
attractive
player
of
the
soccer
team.
B.David,
a
soccer
player
who
is
both
clever
and
funny.
C.Peter,
who
is
always
ready
to
help
his
partners
to
score
goals.
D.Jim,
a
soccer
player
who
tries
his
best
to
win
the
game.
2.Which
of
the
following
statements
would
Kenneth
Barish
agree
with
A.There
is
no
sense
in
giving
a

to
everyone.
B.Kids

of
playing
a

C.Kids

D.It

Girls
should
take
part
in
competitive
sport
to
build
confidence,
and
the
leaders
of
a
group
of
girls'
schools
will
argue
this
week.
Helen
Fraser,
director
of
the
Girls'
Day
School
Trust(
GDST),
will
tell
the
group
that
sport
can
help
girls
deal
with
failure.

"All
girls,
not
just
the
sporty
ones,
should
take
physical
exercise",
Ms
Fraser
says.
Research
that
girls
are
far
less
active
than
boys
is
worrying,
she
argues.
Ms
Fraser
will
tell
the
group
that
she
supports
"sport
for
all"
That's
why
I
love
it
when
our
schools
have
A,B,
C
and
D
teams
and
beyond,"
she
says.

The
GDST
draws
on
research
from
the
Women's
Sport
and
Fitness
Foundation
which
suggests
only
a
quarter
of
girls
in
England
meet basic
levels
of
activity
each
week.
One
in
five
girls
do
no
activity
at
all,
twice
the
proportion
(比例)
of
boys,
the
research
suggests.

Ms
Fraser
says
other
research
suggests
that
more
than
80%
of
women
business
leaders
played
sports
while
growing
up.
She
uses
the
examples
of
former
US
Secretary
of
State
Condoleezza
Rice,
who
once
was
a
skater
and
tennis
player,
and
former
head
of
the
International
Monetary
Fund,
Christine
Lagarde,
who
once
was
in
the
French
national
swimming
team.
Ms
Fraser
says
Olympic
medallists
like
Jessica
Ennis
and
Katherine
Grainger
are
excellent
role
models
for
young
women
but
says
women's
sport
needs
more
money
and
more
news
reports.

Valerie
Dunsford,
former
head
of
Sheffield
High
School
for
Girls,
part
of
the
GDST,
said
it
was
important
to

of

the
importance
of

C.To
introduce
more
games
to
girls.
D.To
encourage
more
girls
to
do
sports.
D

Being
highly
successful
in
any
field
is
pretty
rare.
It
takes
a
combination
of
natural
talent,
luck,
determination,
and
plenty
of
outside
support
for
someone
to
make
it
big
in
sports,
entertainment,
or
business.
But
what
if
competing
is
all
that
matters
to
you,
whether
you
are
likely
to
succeed
or
not
This
was
the
goal
of
Michael
Edwards,
and
that
he
reached
that
goal
was
an
amazing
achievement.

Born in
the
U.
K.
in
1963,
Michael
was
an
enthusiastic
downhill
skier
whose
dream
was
to
compete
for
Britain
in
world-class
competitions.
He
would
have
liked
to
represent
his
country
in
the
1984
Winter
Olympics,
but
there
were
a
large
number
of
downhill
competitors,
and
Edwards
didn't
qualify.
Seeing
his
chance
elsewhere,
he
switched
to
ski
jumping.
Ski
jumping
didn't
cost
nearly
as
much,
and
there
was
almost
no
competition
for
a
place
on
the
Britain
team.

But
a
number
of
hurdles(障碍)
could
have
meant
the
end
of
Edwards'
dream.
He
weighed
more
than
most
competitors,
which
put
him
at
a
disadvantage.
He
had
no
financial
support
for
his
training.
Poor
eyesight
meant
that
he
had
to
wear
glasses
under
his
goggles(护目镜)—not
a
good
thing
when
they
steamed
up
at
high
altitudes.
But
he
couldn't
let
any
of
these
discourage
him.
He
saw
himself
as
a
true
lover
of
the
sport
who
simply
wanted
the
chance
to
compete.
Winning
wasn't
the
point.
Having
the
opportunity
to
try
was
all
he
cared
about.
And
nothing
could
stop
him
from
trying.

In
the
end,
Edwards
took
55th
place
in
the
1987
World
Championships.
He
then
went
on
to
the
Calgary
Olympics
in
1988,
where
he
finished
last
in
both
of
his
events.
Many
athletes
would
have
been
embarrassed
at
this
result,
but
he
is
proud
of
his
achievement
to
this
day.
His
determination
to
fight
against
all
the
difficulties
made
him
a
global
hero,
and
in
2016,
the
inspiring
film
Eddie
the
Eagle
was
made
about
his
life.

less
skill.

(满分25分)
阅读下列材料,
根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,
使之构成一篇完整的短文。

It
was
a
rough
week.
The
price
of
oil
skyrocketed
as
the
temperature
dropped
sharply
in
Maine.
I
had
missed
three
days
of
work
so
my
paycheck
was
going
to
be
lower
than
normal.
I
was
stressed.
I
shopped
strategically,
looking
for
every
possible
way
to
cut
pennies
so
I
could
buy
groceries
and
keep
the
house
warm.

My
eight-year-old
son
didn't
understand
when
I
told
him
we
were
struggling
that
week.
He
wanted
a
special
kind
of
yogurt,
but
I
didn't
have
the
extra
three
dollars
to
buy
it
for
him.
It
was
the
kind
of
yogurt
with
a
cartoon
kid
riding
a
skateboard
in
the
front
of
the
box,
and
a
mere
two
spoonfuls
in
each
cup.
It
was
the
kind
of
product
that
wasted
a
parent's
money
and
made
me
hate
advertising.

I
felt
guilty
as
a
parent
when
the
big
eyes
looked
at
me
with
confusion,
as
if
to
say,
"It's
just
yogurt.
What's
the
big
deal "
So
I
found
a
way.
I
put
something
back
as
single
mothers
often
do.
He
got
his
yogurt.

On
the
way
driving
back
from
the
grocery
store,
I
noticed
a
homeless
man
holding
a
sign
by
the
side
of
the
road.
My
heart
hurt,
and
I
tried
not
to
look
at
him.
I
watched
people
stay
away
from
him
on
the
street
and
walk
by
without
even
meeting
his
eyes.
My
son
didn't
seem
to
care
much,
either.
I
looked
at
the
man
closely
then—bare
hands
grasping
a
piece
of
cardboard,
snot(鼻涕)
frozen
to
his
face,
a
worn-out
jacket.
And
there
I
was
struggling
because
I
had
to
buy
oil
and
groceries.
But
I
decided
to
help
him.
I
pulled
over
to
the
man
and
handed
him
a
five-dollar
bill.

Seeing
this,
my
son
became
confused
and
surprised.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

On
that
day,
my
son
performed
an
act
that
most
adults
wouldn't
have
done.

most
to
the
team
spirit,
as
well
as

kids'
participation
in
sports可知,
纽约市威尔康奈尔医学院的心理学教授肯尼思 巴里什认为,
我们应该鼓励孩子参加体育活动,
颁发奖杯就是一种激励方式。故选D项。

single
out
only
the
best
or
even
the
most
improved
players
with
a
trophy,
we
are
teaching
kids
the
wrong
lesson.
We
are
sending
the
message
that
winning
is
everything.可知,
巴里什认为,
当我们只挑选出最佳球员或进步最大的球员并授予他们奖杯的时候,
我们就给孩子们传递了一个错误的信息:
获胜就是一切。因此画线词组single
out意为"挑出"。故选B项。
4.主旨大意题。本文主要论述了是不是每个参加比赛的人都该得到奖杯,
由此推知,
A项(谁应该获得奖杯 )符合题意,
可以作本文最佳标题。故选A项。
C.答案:1-4.CACD
解析:1.考查推理判断。根据第二段中的"All
girls,
not
just
the
sporty
ones,
should
take
physical
exercise"以及第四段的内容可知,Ms
Fraser认为所有女孩都应该参加体育锻炼,而且女性的运动需要更多的钱和新闻报道,即应该做更多的事情来让女孩做运动,故选C。
2.考查细节理解。根据第三段中的"One
in
five
girls
do
no
activity
at
all,
twice
the
proportion(比例)
of
boys,
the
research
suggests"可知,五分之一的女孩根本不参加任何体育锻炼,是男孩比例的两倍。由此可知不参加体育锻炼的男孩的比例是十分之一,故选A。
3.考查推理判断。根据第四段中的"Ms
Fraser
says
other
research
suggests
that
more
than
80%
of
women
business
leaders
played
sports
while
growing
up"可知,超过80%的女性商业领导者在成长过程中都参加了体育运动,下文用具体例子进行说明。所以Ms
Fraser举例的目的是说明运动能够帮助女性成功,故选C。
4.考查写作目的。文章列举了女性参加体育锻炼的好处和体育锻炼帮助许多女性成功的例子,是为了鼓励女孩们多参加体育锻炼。故选D。
D.答案:1-4
DCAA
解析:1.推理判断题。根据第一段中But
what
if
competing
is
all
that
matters
to
you,
whether
you

likely
to
succeed
or
not
This
was
the

第二节
答案:①-⑤
EDFCA
解析:①根据上句:能负担得起所有在健身房使用的昂贵设备不是很棒吗?再根据设空处下句:现在这里有一些你可以在家做的有效的练习,不需要任何设备。可知此空的意思应该是:这听起来不错,但对大多数人来说,这不是一个选择。此空承接上句,引出下句。故选E项。
②本段主题是Jumping
Jacks(开合跳)。根据上句:这些总是很有趣的,因为它们让人回想起小时候的记忆!由此可知D项Who
has
not
done
jumping
jacks
for
fun
as
a
child 符合题意。
③本段主题是Push-ups。根据上句中:只做对你有用的事。及设空处下句:或者靠着墙站着做它们。可推知,
F项Do
them
on
your
knees,
instead
of
keeping
your
legs
straight.符合题意。另外从Do
them...的结构上也可看出F项正确。
④根据上句:从一些轻一点的东西开始,比如一罐豌豆。可知下句应表达渐渐地给自己增加重量。故选C。文中的lighter和选项中的heavier是提示词。
⑤根据设空处后两句:你不需要加入一个健身房,每个月支付大量的会员费。你甚至不需要昂贵的设备。可知现在你不健身就没借口了,故选A项。

②解析:根据常识,保护带“环绕”胸部捆紧。
③解析:冠词与名词之间缺定语,由begin可知是指“初学者使用的”墙。
④解析:句中that引导的是定语从句,先行词为small
pieces
of
metal,
that在句中作主语;不定式与主语在逻辑上是动宾关系,即stand
the
metal,表示“踩在金属上面”,故填介词on。句意:有一些小金属块伸出来供你脚踩或手抓。
⑤解析:由前面的for
you
to和后面的your
arms等可知,本文用you,
your等来泛指攀登的人,此空位于名词fear前作定语,故用your。
⑥解析:前句表示原因,此句表示结果,引出结果分句用so。
⑦解析:全文都是用一般现在时来说明的。
⑧解析:前句是结果,后句是原因,引导原因状语从句用because。
⑨解析:both...and...是固定搭配。
⑩解析:指变得比原来“更加强壮”。
第三部分
写作
第一节
答案:
The
Earth—Our
Common
Home

To
build
a
beautiful
home,
we
should
save
our
natural
resources.

First
of
all,
saving
is
very
important
because
natural
resources
in
our
world
may
run
out
one
day.
Meanwhile,
saving
can
avoid
producing
waste,
which
will
make
our
homeland
more
beautiful.
As
students,
we
should
make
our
contributions.
For
example,
we
can
recycle
our
textbooks
or
use
both
sides
of
our
exercise
books.
In
this
way,
more
trees
will
be
saved.

Let's
make
joint
efforts
to
create
a
green
and
harmonious
environment.
Your
cooperation
will
be
much
appreciated.
第二节
答案:

Seeing
this,
my
son
became
confused
and
surprised.
"Mum,
why
are
you
so
generous
to
this
stranger
while
so
mean
to
me
when
I
asked
for
a
yogurt "
I
explained
that
if
we
were
blind
to
the
poor
man's
situation,
he
would
be
freezing.
He
didn't
have
a
home
or
food
to
eat
after
all.
We
could
spare
$5
even
if
we
were
financially
stressed.
Finally,
my
son
nodded
and
fixed
his
eyes
on
his
yogurt.

On
that
day,
my
son
performed
an
act
that
most
adults
wouldn't
have
done.
He
looked
at
his
yogurt
and
handed
it
to
the
man
outside
his
window.
It
was
just
a
matter
of
a
few
spoonfuls
of
yogurt,
but
it
was
all
he
had,
and
he
gave
it
to
someone
who
needed
it
more
than
he
wanted
it.
He
showed
me
that
I
was
doing
well
as
a
mother.
There
is
always
kindness
if
we
open
our
eyes,
and
we
always
have
the
opportunity
to
pass
kindness
to
someone
else.
