British adventurer (冒险家) Alastair Humphreys had ridden his bike around the world, walked across India, and rowed (划船) from Africa to South America. In 2011, however, Humphreys had some of the biggest adventures of his life—and he never even left the United Kingdom.
For a year, Humphreys went on microadventures—small, low cost trips close to home. Why did he do this “I started to think that it was possible to have an adventure anywhere, ” he explains. For his first trip, he went hiking with a friend around the M25—a 188 kilometre road that goes all the way around London. Other adventures included swimming in the River Thames, sleeping outside on a hill, and going on a mountain biking trip. Humphreys learned something important from his microadventures: We find adventures when we try something new.
Humphreys wanted other people to make this discovery, too, so he decided to share his idea. He challenged people to go on microadventures and send him four minute videos of their trips. He asked them to do things like climbing a hill, going away for a weekend, or choosing a random (任意的) place on a map and going there. People from all over the world accepted his challenge and posted their videos on Twitter.

Travelling is an exciting experience. It makes people feel pleased, and enjoy new wonders and new part of life that people have never known. A single holiday trip can give you the freedom and the chance to make changes that daily lives do not allow. It matters little where you go on your holiday; it is all in what you make of it. Any travel can be interesting and attractive, and give you memories to last a lifetime.
Having those memories is truly what travels are all about. Many people say that a bit of planning and research before you leave can make sure of those long lasting memories. But why not try something unexpected In fact, the most unforgettable moments of a travel experience are the ones that you don't plan for. Yes . Maybe you'll experience a bad meal in an unfamiliar place, but these experiences will help you discover a little known shop or an open air theatre that is only advertised in the local paper.
You'll find the enjoyable moments happening all around you: a wonderful sunset or a small child playing in the puddles (水坑) of a cobble (鹅卵石) road. The magic will truly be in the trip you take. Take time to go for a long walk for enjoyment when visiting a new place, which will allow you to listen, smell, and see the different culture and sights that your busy life may stop you from enjoying.
Simple things such as a leaf from a tree you sat under can keep the memories of your travel alive for years to come. Collect small things such as leaves, stones or feathers, which can be turned into memorable works of art when you get back home.

D(荣德原创)
Almost everybody likes to relax, visit new places and see new things. Most people like going on holiday. Holidays are great ways to relax yourself and open your eyes. But before booking a trip, we all have to decide with whom to travel — is it better with family, with friends, or alone
Holidays with family can be hard and there can be many arguments (争吵). In my own family, Dad always wants to go to a museum, Mum and my sister want to shop, and I want to go to a café. It's hard for the family to agree with each other. Travelling with family can be very cheap or free, though, if parents pay.
Holidays with friends are not usually cheap but money always plays an important role. It is normal for everyone to have different budgets. However, it can be great fun. It is also good for learning more about your friends, and sharing experiences together. Also, travelling with friends is a good way to strengthen (巩固) a friendship.
Travelling alone has advantages (优势). You can choose what you want to do and it can also be a good chance to meet new people, especially when staying in hotels. Of course, travelling alone is not always good. You can be lonely and, sometimes, dull with no one to talk to. And, when you are at the bus station or airport, there is no one to look after your suitcase when you want to go to the bathroom.
Personally, I prefer travelling alone because there are fewer arguments. Of course, sometimes I like holidays with other people. That way, there is always someone to talk to.
61. ________ are good ways to make yourself relaxed and open your eyes.
A. Holidays B. Arguments C. Friends D. Parents
62. Which is not true about holidays with family
A. It may be hard.
B. It may be cheap.
C. It may be easy to get on well with each other.
D. There can be many arguments.
63. The underlined word “budgets” means ________ in Chinese.
A. 预算 B. 酬劳 C. 投资 D. 物价
64. What are the advantages of travelling alone
A. You can choose what you want to do.
B. You can share experiences together.
C. You can save much money.
D. You can be lonely sometimes.
65. What's the passage mainly about
A. Whom to travel with. B. How to travel.
C. Where to travel. D. When to travel.

A Happy Day
Last Sunday, Betty and I had a very good time in Xishan Park.
In the morning, we got up early and arrived at the park by subway soon. There were lots of people playing sports. We climbed the mountain happily and saw beautiful flowers and monkeys. At noon, we had a picnic on the grassland and listened to music. In the afternoon, we went boating on the lake. After that, we fed fish with some food. At about 5: 00 p. m. , we went home by subway.
Although we felt a little tired, we were very happy, because we learned a lot from this trip.
