Step1 Free talk& Review
T: Good morning, boys and girls. Today let’s go on learning Unit 4 I can play basketball（师指标题，学生读）
T：Can you play basketball （师生问答）
T：In the story time, who can play basketball Sports meeting is coming, who can play basketball in the sports meeting Why
T: You learned the story time very well. Now, let’s recite it.
Step2 Brain storming
T: We can play basketball in the sports meeting. What else can we do What sports do you know For example: run, jump. What do you know For 5 seconds for you. Have a try.
T: Wow , I think you know a lot about sports items. Now, let’s learn these words. Please read.
T: You can read the words very well. Now let’s ask and answer in pairs. Look, Can you run （师示范,并板书Can you ... Yes, I can. / No, I can’t.）同桌互问答。

Step3 Sound time
T: Today, we will know a new friend. Who’s he
T: Yes, he’s Mr Fox. He’s our Mascot in the sports meeting. Let’s play a game. After that, you will know more about Mr Fox. This is a guessing game. Try to say the answer. If you are right, say Bingo. Ready Go!

T: Wonderful! Here’s a short passage. Let’s read it. Look, what do the red letters sound like
T: Yes, it’s /f/. Here’s a video. Let’s watch it.
T: Good! Let’s read these words.

Step4 Song time
T: Now you know something about Mr Fox. But what can he do Try to guess.
