(1). dead adj. 死的、无生命的,在句子中可作表语, 表示状态。
be dead可以和表示时间段的状语连用。
dead, die 和 death 的用法区别

②The animals are all dead.
这些动物都是死的。

是一个瞬间动词, 不能和表示时间段的状语连用。

(2)辨析:alive, living & lively
① alive 活着的,常用于be 动词和名词后面。
The old man is still alive.

② living 活着的,常用于名词前。
Both plants and animals are living things.
植物和动物都是生物。
③ lively adj. 生动的,活泼的。
He’s a lively and clever young boy.
