观察澳大利亚和美国这两个国家喜庆圣诞的场景，学生们寻找两组画面的不同之处，带着问题阅读。通过阅读学生们了解地球南北半球的季节正好是相反的，地球的赤道将南北半球分开。在赤道附近的地方如Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia没有四季变化，一般离赤道越远，季节变化越明显。
