I. Pre-Reading activities (15 minutes)
Step1: Warming-up
1. Greeting to the class.
Enjoy a video
(1) Watch a video of teacher’s college. Introduce the school to students.
(2) Ask them pay attention to what the teacher say.
(3) Ask them a question:What are the things in your classroom
Purpose: It means to make students focus on topic of the class
Step2: Learn some new words
Teaching some new words by using the real things and pictures. Read the new words after
the teacher.
2. Show some sentences by using the new words.
3. Let students read the new words by themselves.
Purpose: It means to help students understand the new words straightly. Read it again can
check if students have grasp the new words.
II. While-reading activities ( 18minus)
Step1 : Fast reading
1. Ask students to read the passage quickly and answer the following questions:
(1) How many things are there in Sally's classroom
(2) What are the things in Sally's classroom
2. Ask students to share their answers.
3. Give the answer to students and make clear of it.
Purpose: It means to help students get the main idea of the passage.
Step2: Careful reading
1. Divide the class into 3 groups.
2. Ask students to read the passage carefully, keep quite.
3. Let students look at the sentences on the screen, choose T or F, discuss with their group
members.
4. Ask students to share their answers and correct the sentences.
5. Cheer them after they answer the question.
6. Check the answers together.
Purpose: Work in pairs, it means to cultivate the students’ consciousness of unity and
cooperation, improve the efficiency of learning. Read the passage carefully, can let
students understand it comprehensively.
Step3 Translate the passage
Read the article together translate it, teacher read the sentences,students translate.
Explain the language point for them.
Purpose: It means to check students word learning. Let students the knowledge in the
sentences.
III. Post-reading activities ( 8minus)
Work in pairs. Let students work in pairs (support your friend Lucy is going to visit your
school, and she want to know something about your classroom. Could you please introduce
your classroom to your friend )
Show some expressions that can be used to talk about classroom and give some examples
to talk about the classroom.

3. Invite some students to share their idea.

Purpose: Do a practice after the summary, it means to consolidate the knowledge without delay.
V. Homework (1 minutes)
1. Master the news words, we will have a dictation next class.
2. Write a passage to introduce your room. No less than 40 words. You can use the following
sentences.
Purpose: It means to let students master the new words, use new structure and new words
to introduce, let students creatively study and apply.
