Step 1 Warm up
T: Boys and girls, today we have a new friend, Mr Caterpillar. Let’s say hello to Mr Caterpillar.
S: Hello, Mr Caterpillar.
T: (播放录音,Mr Caterpillar跟大家打招呼)
Mr Caterpillar likes playing games. Do you like playing games
S: Yes.
T: Now let’s play a game: magic eyes.
S: Play the game together.
设计意图:开篇引出本节课的关键线索人物: Mr Caterpillar. 通过玩游戏复习一些食物、饮料和水果类的单词,一方面对之前的知识进行了复习,另一方面为后面的学习做了准备。
Step 2 Revision
T: We can see some food and drinks at the snack bar. Today we’re going to continue to learn Unit6 At the snack bar.
S: Read the title together.
T: Mr Caterpillar wants to go to the snack bar too. At the snack bar, what would you like
S: I’d like…
T: a lollipop (教授lollipop)
T: Let’s look at this picture. What would you like
S: I’d like an orange.
T: I’d like a/an 后面加…
S: 可数名词的单数
T: What would you like now

S: 可数名词的复数或者不可数名词。
设计意图:通过呈现这些单词,一方面讨论了I’d like a/an/some…后面所加名词的几种情况,加深了学生的印象,另一方面教授了单词lollipop和sausage,为后面的绘本教学做了准备。

设计意图:通过两个chant,进一步巩固了本单元的关键句型,同时chant朗朗上口,学生很愿意开口说,大大活跃了课堂氛围。
T: Mr Caterpillar are at the snack bar. Our friends are at the snack bar too. What would they like Let’s match and say.
S1: Mike’s father would like a sandwich and a cup of coffee.
S2: Mike would like a hamburger and a glass of milk.
S3: Helen would like some noodles.
T: Look at the three sentences. If there are more than one things, we should use “and”.
Then look at the three groups of words, can you put them into the sentences.
S: Put the words into the sentences.

Step 3 Rhyme time
T: Look at the last sentence. I’d like a pie, an apple, a peach and some rice. I’d like a pie. I’d like some rice. They’re all very nice. Now let’s listen to a rhyme “What would you like ”
S: Listen to the rhyme.
T: Pay attention to the last word of each sentence, like, pie, rice, nice. What’s the same of these words
S: They all have the letter “i”.
T: And the letter “i” is pronounced…
S:/ai/
T: Then let’s look at these pictures. Can you make a new rhyme.
S: Try to make a new rhyme.
T: Great!
设计意图:rhyme朗朗上口,押韵/ai/,提醒学生注意最后一个单词,鼓励他们自己发现规律,然后创编新的rhyme, 激发他们的创新意识,提高他们的创新能力。
Step 4 Cartoon time
T: Mr Caterpillar eats a lot of things. Is he still hungry Let’s listen.
S: No.
T: Oh, he is full now. what about our friends Sam and Bobby Are they full Let’s watch and answer.
S: No, they’re hungry.
T: They’re hungry. What does the waiter say Let’s read and find.

T: 教授句型。

设计意图:此篇绘本呈现了很多食物类的单词,可以作为对书本内容的有效补充,丰富学生的词汇量。
T: After eating so much food, Mr Caterpillar doesn’t feel very good. Boys and girls, have a healthy diet, don’t eat too much, we will be more and more beautiful. Look, there are so much food. Choose some of them and try to make a dialogue. You should choose some healthy food.
S: Make a new dialogue and practice it with your partners.

Read and recite cartoon time.
Invite your parents to the snack bar and order some food and drinks for them.
