普通范文
Dear Terry,
I was so pleased to hear that you were going to study in China. I'd like to tell you something about Chinese body language.
Chinese people often greet each other with a light handshake when they meet, but it is not polite with gloves on. While you are with Chinese people, you should keep a proper distance, that is, not too close and not too far away. When talking, the listener should look into the speaker's eyes and say “um” or nod from time to time to show he or she is paying attention.
I'm looking forward to seeing you soon and wish you every success in your studies.
Yours,
Li Hua
高级范文
Dear Terry,
How happy I was to hear the news that you were going to study in China! I'm more than willing to introduce something about Chinese body language to you.
When Chinese people meet each other, they often shake hands lightly to express greetings, but it is thought impolite with gloves on. When communicating with Chinese people, you should keep a moderate distance, neither too close nor too far away. During a conversation, the listener is expected to make eye contact. Meanwhile, the listener should react with “um” or nod occasionally, which indicates that he or she is focusing on what is being said and demonstrates his or her respect.
Longing to meet you soon and wish you all the best in your studies.
Yours,
Li Hua
