We all want our skin(皮肤) to look good. If your skin is clear and healthy, it makes you feel better about yourself. How can you get great skin Here are some suggestions.
Protect your skin against the sun. If you are going to be outside, especially in the sun, you should put on suncream in summer. Wear a hat to protect your face. A wide hat is the best, as it will protect your ears and neck as well. Stay in the shade whenever you can. Do not stay in the sun for hours, it may burn your skin. Use suncream about half an hour before going outside.
How to wash your skin Wash your body all over once a day. Use mild soap(肥皂) and warm water to wash your body. Wash the soap off, as it may be bad for your skin. Wash your face by using a facecloth and soap or cleaning cream, and then wash with cool water. Hot water can rob the skin of its natural oils and cause it to dry out. Twice a day is enough for your face, as too much cleaning can hurt your skin.

Have you ever stayed in a hotel Most Chinese hotels often provide guests with things like disposable (一次性的) toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo and slippers. Many guests like the idea because they don’t have to bring their own and it is very convenient(方便的). But, if you travel to Beijing, remember to bring your own things. Starting from June, most hotels in Beijing will no longer provide guests with these disposables. They want to ask people to use fewer disposable things.
Many disposable things are made of plastic. People throw them away after using them once. It is a waste of natural resources and is very bad for the environment. Do you know, one Chinese person makes as much as 400kg of waste a year! Most of that waste comes from disposable things. In Beijing, people throw away about 19,000 tons of plastic bags and 1,320 tons of plastic lunch bowls every year! Plastic can take between 100 and 400 years to break down. So the less plastic we throw out, the better the environment will be. So, wherever you travel, bring your own things and use them again and again.
Back at home and school, you can also do something to make our world a better place. Try to do these things in your daily life: Use cloth shopping bags, not plastic ones. After using a plastic bag, wash it out and let it dry. Then you can use it over and over again. Do not use paper cups. At your school canteen(食堂), use your own bowl and chopsticks instead of disposable ones.
10. Why do many hotels provide guests with some disposable things

C. Many disposable things are made of plastic.

A. Use more plastic bags.
B. Use plastic or paper cups instead of glasses.
C. Remember to reuse daily necessities(日用品) if possible.
D. Use disposable plates, bowls and chopsticks as often as possible.
14. What can we infer(推断) from the passage
A. All disposable things are made of plastic.

Birds protect themselves by always listening and watching out for danger. At the smallest sign of it , they will fly away. Birds that cannot fly are often able to swim fast or run quickly. Some birds make themselves look bigger and more dangerous by fluttering(抖动) their feathers.
Another important protection for many birds is their colours, Their feathers often have the same colours that match the things around their nests. Some birds change colours with the seasons. In winter, they are white to match the snow. In summer, they are brown to match the ground
People sometimes kill birds without meaning to. When people cut down forests to build houses and factories, birds lose their homes and food. If the birds have nowhere else to go and nothing to eat, they will die out soon.
Pollution may lead some birds to die too. Birds that eat fish from polluted water get poison(毒药)in their bodies. Then they cannot lay healthy eggs. New birds can't be born.
Now people protect birds by passing the laws to stop hunting and polluting, by setting up some special parks where all the birds are safe from hunters, and by teaching more people to care about birds rather than killing them.
It’s necessary to ____1____birds from dying out.
