教材分析：本课是两篇介绍外国人的小短文，主要介绍了海伦凯勒和牛顿的职业，出生，著名的事情等关键信息。学生通过阅读短文，复习巩固本单元的主要词汇和功能句。
学情分析：学生通过近六年的英语学习，已经掌握了一定的阅读方法。在一二课学习中，已经可以就人物的职业，著名的事情等进行问答。通过本课的学习，学生能对人物进行描述。
教学目标：

能力目标
掌握划线、圈点等阅读方法，提高快速在文章中寻找所要关键信息的能力。
