一、教学理念
读写能力是英语教学中的重点之一,读写能力的高低决定着英语学的高低。小学生在学习中做到以读促思,以思促写,老师在教学中指导学生做到以读促写,读写结合。本节课教学内容为第一课时,针对四年级学生的年龄特点和认知水平,本节课的教学设计读的形式有:跟读、自读、模仿读、表演读等。写的形式有:口头拼写、抄写、仿写等。通过以读促写的教学模式,让学生深入理解阅读材料,完成相关的学习内容,同时很自然地巩固了阅读材料中需要掌握的重点及难点。
二、教学目标
1.通过本节课教学,学生能理解并朗读Story time内容,尝试表演对话。
2.通过以读促写教学,学生能会写单词:eye, big, small, short, ear。
3.通过男娃娃、女娃娃的对比教学,学生能会写句型Her\His…is\are…介绍别人。
4.通过教师课堂的引导,学生能用英语描述人物的整体、外貌等,并书写出来。
三、教学目标制定依据
1. 教材分析
本单元主要教学内容是描述人物的外貌,具体分为His…is / are… 和Her…is / are…。这是我们小学阶段最基本的,高矮胖瘦(tall, short, fat, thin),还有人体部位(eyes, ears, hair, mouth, nose)的一些简单的描述。这部分内容在教材的整体编写中是循环往复的,所以现在涉及的还是简单的形容词。针对本单元的教材特点,教学设计结合学生自身实际,让学生学会新知的同时也学会了如何使用。
2. 学情分析
四年级的学生对于英语的学习已经有了一定的基础,也掌握了一定的学习方法。通过Unit 6 Cartoon time 和Unit 7的Cartoon time部分的学习,学生对于big, her and long这三个词已有一定的了解,在此基础上教授small,his and short, 并进行比较讲解,课堂上设计活动激发学生的思维和学习兴趣,在此基础上学生较易理解并记忆。
四、教学重点
1.通过本节课教学,学生能理解并朗读Story time内容,尝试表演对话。
2.通过以读促写教学,学生能会写单词:eye, big, small, short, ear。
3.通过男娃娃、女娃娃的对比教学,学生能会写句型Her\His…is\are…介绍别人。
五、教学难点
通过教师课堂的引导,学生能用英语描述人物的整体、外貌等,并书写出来。

Step one: Warm up
1. Sing a song
《My eyes, nose, mouth, ears》
(设计意图:英语课堂前几分钟的热身活动是上好一节课的关键之一,根据小学生活泼好动的天性,课前反复播放歌曲,让学生对本节课所学内容有所感知,同时跟唱这首歌曲,通过儿歌给学生营造一个欢乐活泼的英语气氛,为下面的教学做铺垫。)
2. Listen, repeat and touch

(教师板书这四个单词,教授这四个单词。)
