教学目标 1、能听懂、会读、会说uncle, doll, ball, robot, CD. 2、能听懂、会读、会说日常交际用语Happy Birthday! What’s this/ that It’s… This is for you. 3、能正确理解并朗读对话内容，在教师的引导和帮助下尝试表演对话。 4、能初步运用本课所学词汇和日常交际用语赠送礼物和给予他人祝愿。
重点 1、能听懂、会读、会说 happy，birthday, for, doll, ball, robot. 2、能听懂、会读、会说交际用语What’s this/ that It’s… This is for you.
难点 1、能正确地理解并朗读对话，在教师的引导和帮助下尝试表演对话。 2、能初步运用本课所学词汇和日常交际用语赠送礼物和给予他人祝愿。
教学准备 实物模型、单词图片、句型卡片、Uncle John,Mike,Helen和Tim头饰。
教 学 过 程
Step 1. Greeting a. Sing a song-- Happy Birthday. T: Now, sing a song. If you can, sing it happily together. sing and clap your hands. (学生拍手试着跟歌曲唱。) T: Do you know the name of the song S: Happy Birthday. T: Oh, great. You already know the name of the song.(揭题并教授Happy Birthday！) T: Boys greet. Boys: Happy Birthday. T: Girls respond. Girls: Happy Birthday. b. Time and activities on birthday. T: Well done. T: What can we do on birthday (You can tell us in Chinese.) S: 唱歌跳舞/ 做蛋糕/ 吃蛋糕等等。 c.教授It’s a… T: Good. We can do many interesting things on birthday. And we can get a lot of presents, too. d.教授近距离物品询问What’s this 远距离物品询问What’s that 及回答It’s a/an... T: Today I have a present. Do you want to know what is in it How to guess about something nearby （放音频，贴板书）教What’s this T: You can guess with ‘It’s a/an…’I think. S1: It’s a … S2: It’s a … S3: It’s an .. T:Oh, it’s a ball. 教授It’s a ball. 贴实图 T: Let’s chant the ball. 教授Ball, ball, this is a ball. Ball, ball, that is a ball.（放手让学生模仿例句，补充完整。） Step2. Pre-reading T: Look,today is Helen and Mike’s birthday. Someone is visiting their home. Who is the person Guess. S:She’s/He’s... T: He’s Uncle John. 教学Uncle Watch and tick. T: What presents does Uncle John take Tick on your tablet. You will have one minute. （学生在平板上打勾。） （Check the answers on students’ tablet.） （教师教授a doll, a robot.巩固a ball.） T: Who are the presents for You will have two minutes. Make a match on your computer. Who can stick on the blackboard （学生将头套贴在对应礼物旁边。） （学生在平板上连线。） （Check the answers on students’ tablet.） （Check the answers on the blackboard.） T: We can say “It is for Tim./ This is for you, Helen./ This is for you, Mike.” Step3. While-reading Read the text. T: Let’s read the text together. (学生读书。) Pic1-5: Read after the tape with emotions. （Pic4 听录音，选一选句子。） Let’s act. (表演图3和图5，操练句型What’s this/that It’s a...) What’s this It’s a doll. How nice. What’s that It’s a ball. Pic6: Fill in the blanks after listening the tape. Let’s summary. T:It is Uncle John’s birthday. What can we say Students: Happy Birthday! T:When we celebrate someone’s birthday. What can we say Students: “This is for you.” and answer with “Thank you.” T:When we want to know something nearby. What can we ask Students: What’s this T:When we want to know something far, what can we ask Students: What’s that Step4 Post-reading Make a dialogue. T: Oct.1st is Uncle John’s birthday, what will happen among them Think and make a dialogue according to the sentence patterns. （学生编对话，并展示。） Let’s be thankful. T: We should be grateful (感激) to others and give our best wishes to others at any time!
布置作业 1. Preview the text and make dialogues. 2. Find more blessings such as “Merry Christmas!” “Happy Children’s Day!” and so on. 3. Prepare some presents for your parents and say something like “This is for you.” when giving them.
