certainly
副词,含义为“肯定;确实”,用来表述自己明确的态度,完全的同意或是强烈的肯定。
definitely
I can't tell you definitely when I will come.
我不能肯定地告诉你我什么时候来。
I'm definitely going to get in touch with these people.
我肯定会跟这些人取得联系。
The team will definitely lose if he doesn't play.
如果他不参加比赛,这个队肯定会输。
意为“当然”,表示了解情况,因而强调和展现(说话一方)对于某件事感到毫无疑问和确信。
certainly
The glass vase will certainly break if you drop it.
如果你把玻璃花瓶掉在地上,它当然会碎的。
That’s certainly a satisfying result.
那当然是个令人满意的结果。
表示客观论断,意为“无疑地、肯定地、确实地”,常用于被修饰词语之前,相当于certainly。
surely
If he keep doing like that, he will surely fail.
如果他一直那样做,他肯定会失败。
That blue-haired man is surely a rock music star.
那个蓝头发的男人肯定是位摇滚歌星。
表示主观看法, 意为“想必、一定、我相信” ,通常只用 surely。
表示既相信又不肯定或感到惊讶,书写时可用问号,通常置于句首或句末。

occur、happen和take place都表示“发生”。都是不及物动词,均不能带宾语,也不能用于被动语态。

suit还可以表示合乎需要、口味、条件、地位。

Attention:
意为“适合于”,主要是指尺寸、大小、形状等方面的适合。引申为吻合、协调。
