教学目标：
能够听懂，会说speak 和 French 这两个单词，并尝试借助拼读规律记忆单词。
能够听懂会说用来了解世界上主要英语国家名胜，地理位置，语言等信息的功能句：

教学重难：
重点：能够初步学会在恰当的情境中运用以上功能句，并能按要求在所提供的语境中写几个意义连贯的句子。
难点：在恰当的语境下，运用本课功能句谈论一些其他国家的事情。
教法：情境教学法。

教具准备：图片，实物，PPT.
六．教学过程：
Step 1 Warm-up
Greeting.
T: Boys and girls, are you ready for class
S: Yes.
T: OK. Now let’s begin!
Monitor: Stand up.
T: Hello everyone.
S: Hello Wilson.
T: Good morning boys and girls.
S: Good morning teacher.
T: Sit down please.

Step 2 Review and leading-in
T: Well. I know you like looking pictures. Look at these pictures. What are these
S: They are (national) flags.
T: Right. They are national flags. Look at this one. What country is it
(Show national flag of Canada )
S: It’s Canada.
T: Right. There are a lot of maple trees in Canada. When autumn is coming , the maple leaves are red. They’re very beautiful. So Canada is famous for maple leaves.

T: What do you know about these countries Do you want to know more about these countries
S: Yes/of course.
T: Ok. Let’s learn the new lesson.

Step 3 presentation and practice
T: Now look at the map on the screen please. What countries can you see on the map
S1: I can see China, The UK , Australia , Canada ,and The USA.
T: What cities can you see on the map
S2: I can see Beijing, London, Toronto, Washington D.C. and Sydney .
T: Now open your students book at page 16. Pay attention to activity A. Read the dialogue for first time.
Think a question : What languages do people speak in Canada
(Show words “speak” and “french” on the blackboard and teach these words.)
T: What languages do people speak in Canada
S: People there speak French and English.
( 板书功能句 “People there speak ...” )
T: Now Read the dialogue for the second time and discuss in groups with these questions:
What’s Canada /Australia famous for
What language do people there speak
What city is in this country Where is it
What can you see in this city
(When the students in each group discuss the questions above, the teacher write the functional sentences “It’s in the ... of ...” “You can ... there.“ on the blackboard.)
Show pictures about Canada and Australia on the screen. Ask and answer some questions about these countries .
T: What do you know about Canada
S1: Canada is famous for maple leaves.
S2: People there speak English and French.
S3: Toronto is a big city. It’s in the southeast of Canada. You can visit the CN Tower there.
T: What do you know about Australia
S1: Australia is famous for koalas and kangaroos.
S2: People there speak English.
S3: Sydney is a big city. It’s in the southeast of Australia . You can visit the Opera House there.
Step 4 Expand and extension
T: Would you like talking something about other countries
S: Yes, I would.
( Show pictures about the UK and the USA on the screen. )
T: Ask and answer with the question: What do you know about the UK/ the USA
T: Act in groups. Four a group, choose one role to act. You can make new sentences.（四人一组，每人分别扮演四个角色。先在座位上演一演，也可以加入自己编的话哦）
(教师出示图片，但是把每幅图文字去掉，给学生发挥想象的空间)

T: Look at the pictures on screen . Think and write. Then fill in the table.
