A篇是一篇广告,推销了一场音乐表演《四季》,从售票处、简介和相关信息等等方面介绍,虽然看上去文章字数多,阅读量大,第23题有难度。
详细解析:
第21题 B 细节题。从文章第一个小标题下的内容可知,45美元是属于C区座位,Go Visibility视野好,A区是excellent,B区是great,C区推测用good,故选B,A项在文中没有提及,D项是A和B区的观众可以做的。

There is an old army joke about an officer who asks some soldiers whether any of them are interested in music. When four hands go up, the officer says, "Right, men. You can carry this grand piano down to the officers mess."
Job recruitment has become more complicated since that story first did the rounds. Today's careers require a lot more than just raw music but that sometimes makes jobs hard to define. An unfortunate result is a form of "adjective inflation(夸张) "in recruitment ads as employers attempt to make routine tasks sound exciting.
Candidates must sometimes wonder whether they are applying for a 9-to-5-role or to
become a member of the Marvel “Avengers". On Indeed, a job-bunting website, a bar was recently looking for "bartenders who are people focused, quality-driven, and have superhero hospitality(友好款待) powers". The ability to give customers the correct change was not mentioned.
Another British company advertised for “a call-centre ninja(忍者), a superhero in people", a
Job description which sounds a little over-the top for what was in fact a role at an insurance company in Isleworth. In case you think that ad was not typical. Indeed also had jobs demanding “ninja-like attention to detail". Short of turning up for the interview dressed head-to-toe in black, and then sneaking up behind the managing director at his desk, it is hard to see how candidates could show their ninja qualities.
Not all companies require candidates to possess the qualities of a ninja, of course. Some require applicants to be passionate(热情的) .The Bluewater shopping mall in southeast England was looking for "passionate sales-driven brand ambassadors" while “passionate crew members" were needed at a bakery in west London for a wage of just 8. 23 an hour. In fact, passion is pretty
hard to keep consistently for 40 hours a week, month after month. Job applicants should find some
information from the kind of ads that companies place. If a job ad talks about passion or superheroes, run away faster than a speeding Batmobile. Being a ninja should be reserved for teenage mutant ninja turtles(忍者神龟)
24. Why does the author mention the joke in Paragraph 1
A. To show that officers enjoy playing tricks on soldiers.
B. To introduce the topic of overstated job ads.
C. To explain the origin of complex job ads.
D. To describe soldiers' everyday life.
25. Which of the following offers a job demanding ninja qualities
A. The bar. B. The bakery.
C. The insurance company. D. The Bluewater shopping mall.
26. What does the author say about the ads requiring passion
C. To explain the origin of complex job ads.
A. They are unrealistic. B. They are typical of want ads.
C. They are appealing to applicants. D. They are uncommon on Indeed.
27. How does the author sound when talking about today’s job ads
A. Curious. B. Hesitant. C. Humorous. D. Sympathetic.

American football was the fastest-growing sport for US young players las year, according to a survey sponsored by the sport's governing body.
But it was the game's no tackle variety that showed the biggest increase-a finding that may
reflet concerns about injury.
In American football, a tackle (抢断球) refers to an attempt to stop an opponent by forcing
them to the ground. The number of participants in football grew in 2015 while most other sport, except baseball, posted a decline, USA Football said on Monday, citing(引用) the findings of a survey of 30,000 children and teenagers.
Participation in flag football (a no-tackle type of football) increased by 8.7 percent among
children aged 6 to 14, while tackle football rose by 1.9 percent. For that age group, the only other
sport that grew was baseball, with a 3. 3 percent increase.
In the 15-t0-18 age group, flag football rose by 10. 5 percent, while tackle grew by 2.5 percent. Basketball was the third, with a 1. 1 percent increase. Participation in all other sports declined. Tom Farrey, executive director of the Aspen Institute's Sports & Society Program, said he was surprised that flag football participation rose so much.
“The trend suggests that parents are marching to the beat of a different drummer, in pursuing
flag as an alternative for their kids," he said.
The findings come at a time of increasing concern about the risk associated with youth sports,
particularly hockey (曲棍球) and football, where medical researchers have warned about the risk
of concussions (damages to the brain caused by violent blows to the head) and death linked to brain injury.
USA Football, an Indianapolis, Indiana based nonprofit funded in part by the National Football League, believed that the increases resulted from better safety and health education.
"Football participation increases, even modest increases, may signal that programs such as our Heads Up Football program and practice guidelines are making a positive difference," said Scot Hallenbeck, USA Football chief executive, in a statement.
Robert Cantu, a Boston University neurosurgery professor and investigator at the school's
chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) Center said the increase in fag football participation
signaled that more parents were directing children to a safe alternative
28. What can we learn about the two age groups
A. Flag football grew the fastest in the 1-018 group.
B. Tackle football grew he fastest in the 6-014 group.
C. Participation in baseball declined the most in both groups
D. Participation in tackle football increased the most in both groups.
29. The underlined part probably means _________.

New York is among the slowest cities during rush hour in the world, according to a report
published in January. Crossing midtown by car is soul-destroying. The average speed is 4.7 miles per hour, not much quicker than a quick walk. But relief is in sight. On April 1st, state lawmakers
agreed to introduce road charges, making New York the first big American city to do so. By
next year vehicles will have to pay to enter Manhattan south of 60th Street.
The details of the new rule, including how much drivers will have to pay, how they will pay and how often they will pay, have yet to be decided. A “traffic mobility review board" will be set up to work all this out. New Yorkers living in the fee zone who make less than $60,000 a year will be exempt (获豁免) . Other drivers, including motorcyclists, the city' s civil servants, disabled drivers and the trucking industry, all want discounts or exemptions, which might not be a good sign.
If done right, road pricing could be expanded beyond Manhattan. New York can learn from
other cities. Singapore, for instance, which has had pricing for decades, adjusts prices regularly. It
can also learn from mistakes. London, which rolled out its pricing in 2003, is only starting to
charge on-demand car hires like Uber. Stockholm exempted too many vehicles, which caused a
drop in revenues (收入) .
Other cities considering road charges, including Los Angeles, Philadelphia Portland, San
Francisco and Seattle, are watching New York. "We really have t1o make a good example," says
Nicole Gelinas of the Manhattan Institute, a New York think tank.
32.What does the report find
A. New York has terrible road traffic.
B. New York often introduces new laws.
C. New Yorkers prefer walking to driving.
D. New Yorkers face an increased cost of living.
33. What can be inferred about the new rule from paragraph 2
A. It faces some potential problems.
B. It has clear and detailed fee standards.
C. It favors New Yorkers living in the fee zone.
D. It fails to win a traffic mobility review board s approval.
34. What do London and Stockholm have in common
A. They learn a lot from Singapore.
B. They have greatly increased revenues.
C. They charge on-demand car hires heavily.
D. They are bad examples of placing road charges.
35. What is the best title for the text
A. How much does it cost to drive into Manhattan
B. New York approves road pricing for Manhattan
C. Drivers fear crossing Manhattan south of 60th Street

Ways to have a warm autumn
Though people have been connecting autumn with misery and loneliness since ancient times, I believe the season is better than spring," Liu Yuxi, a renowned poet from the Tang Dynasty, wrote in his poem. 36 Here are some ways.
Have a bowl of pear soup
With a sweet scent and honey color, pear soup is the most suitable soup for autumn, which
could nourish(滋养) your body and reduce the dryness in the season. Cut some pears and apples, and boil them with dates, wolfberries (枸杞子) and hawthorns in water for about an hour. Add some honey if you want it sweeter. Enjoy!
37
As two flowers that blossom in autumn, rather than spring, the chrysanthemum and osmanthus (菊花和桂花) are popular not only for their colors and shapes, but also for the food and beverage made from them. Just a sip, and you can taste the beauty of autumn from the tea.
Eat "white-colored" food
Traditional Chinese culture always believes that human beings should respect nature and act
according to natural changes. Food, beverage and even color of clothes should vary with the change of seasons. 38 Such series include pears, white turnip (白萝卜), white fungus,
Chinese yam and oats.
Wear qiuku
Qiuku has become a humorous topic among Chinese young people. 39 In many
youngsters' mind, qiuku is a synonym (同义词) of "weak", “old” and “ugly". Yet, your bare legs,
shaking on a cold autumn morning, could become a reason to get an illness. Have mercy on them
and have a pair of qiuku to be strong before being stylish.
Be healthy from the bottom of your feet
In the traditional Chinese medical theory, feet are connected with the health of each organ.
40 Through massaging the acupoints (穴位) on feet, many illnesses could be cured.
Another convenient way is to use Chinese medical foot patches(足贴).
A. Drink some scented tea.
B. Smell some beneficial flowers.
C. White colours usually keep you from getting dry.
D. If our human body was the tree trunk, then they would be the root.
E. It might be outdated when most young people try to show off their figures.
F. But do you know how to change the cold season into a warm enjoyment
G. As autumn is often connected with dryness, food with white color is recommended.

Hello, everyone! It is my honour to be here to share with you my opinions on how to fight with frustration .
Although frustration is inevitable in our life, it is important not to neglect the fact that an increasing number of students commit suicide because of setbacks. Consequently, it is of vital importance to carry out frustration education in school. When faced with hardships and difficulties, students should learn to draw lessons from failure instead of getting annoyed or discouraged. Furthermore, what we should do is learn more skills to solve the problems. Only in this way can we achieve our goals step by step.
Thank you !
第二节(满分25分)
阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
Two men both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man called Ben was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window. The other man, Leo, had to spend all his time flat on his back.
The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their
jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.
And every afternoon when Ben could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his
roommate all the things he could see outside the window. Leo began to live for those one-hour
periods where his world would be broadened and lightened by all the activity and color of the world outside.
The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm among flowers of every color of the rainbow. Grand old trees graced the landscape, and a fine view of the city could be seen in the scene As Ben described all this in detail. Leo would close his eyes and imagine the beautiful scene
One warm afternoon Ben described a parade passing by. Although Leo couldn't hear the band
-he could see it in his min’s eyes as the gentleman by the window described it with descriptive
words. Each time the nurse saw the warm and touching scene, she was always struck by devoted
friendship between these two men. Days and weeks passed.
注意:
1. 续写词数应为150左右.

(官方范文):
Para 1:
One morning, the nurse arrived to check the two men, only to find the lifeless body of Ben. After his death, the room was filled with dead silence. Lying in the bed, Leo couldn't help staring at the only window, tears pouring down his cheeks. Dying to see the view described by Ben, Leo asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable she left him alone. Painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow and slowly turned to take his first look at the world through the window. He thought he would have the joy of seeing it for himself.
Para 2:
However, he could see nothing but a blank wall of another building. Stunned and paralyzed, Leo couldn't believe what he thought was a beautiful scene turned out to be just a blank wall. After all, Ben's descriptions of the outside world were so convincing and vivid. When he asked the nurse what could have forced his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window, the nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall. She said, “Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you.” It was Ben's devoted love to his dear friend that pictured an everlasting rainbow in Leo’s world.

Text 10
I wanted so badly to learn how to skate. Not skateboard, not ice skate…just skate with four wheels under each foot. (17) On the hard, hard streets of New York City. Looking back, I don’t know what I was thinking. Where I lived, it was hilly. If you were walking on a street, you could suddenly start going down or up. (18) At least, that’s how it felt when I was learning how to roller skate. (17) I had a friend who was a pretty good skater. He would hold my hand or my arm, and pull me along with him. Skating always seemed like a relaxing activity to me, at least when I would watch people skate at the park. But when I started learning, it was not relaxing at all. I used my knees to stop myself by crashing into things. After many falls and hundreds of injuries, though, I finally was able to skate. (19) My friend was no longer needed. I could roll smoothly down hills. I had mastered the cracks in the streets. It was a new freedom that I earned from a lot of hard work and never giving up.

D. Who will be exempt from road charges in Manhattan
