Section D教学设计
一、教材分析:
本课是九年级第二单元第三话题的第四课时。主要活动是阅读文段和Project。Grammar 和Functions 让学生总结本话题的语法重点(并列句)和重要的句子(包括英语习语)。短文介绍了森林的重要作用、森林遭到破坏的情况及义务植树人的艰难付出。Project部分采用调查问卷的形式来寻找本班“最环保的人”。这个活动很有教育意义,可以让学生增强环保意识,争做一个坚定的环保人士。
二、教学目标:
1.知识目标
掌握本课的重点词汇和短语,归纳并列句的用法。
2.技能目标
掌握常见的并列句,并能在写作或口语交际中运用。
在Project中,能够根据问卷要点整理成文。
3.情感目标
增强环保意识,争做一个坚定的环保人。
了解世界范围内人们的环保行动。
三、教学重难点:
1. 教学重点
Words and phrases: dry, remove, place, cut down, so that, even though
Sentences: The weather may be very hot and dry or it may be very cold and wet.
They carry heavy bags of small trees, and working in the mountains can be dangerous.
Even though tree planting is very difficult, they love their work.
Grammar: compound sentence
2. 教学难点:
Forests were cut down to provide wood to build houses.
There are often many insects that bite these planters on their legs, arms and faces while they work.

四、学习策略
在Grammar部分,能够和老师一起总结归纳并列句的用法,使之内化为自己的知识。
能够利用问题来预测短文的内容。
五、教学过程:
Step 1 Warming up
Play a game: I do ,you guess.
(设计意图:通过 Play a game的形式进行课前热身,激发学生的学习兴趣及强化学生的英语语感。) Step 2 Leading in

(设计意图:出示学习目标,从而让学生在目标的指引下明确地学习,同时也复习了本话题的语法点和功能性句子,让学生再次回顾本话题的学习要点并为后面的阅读教学进行铺垫。) Step 3 Pre-reading(读前)

Step 6 Project1. Get students to answer the questions about finding the greenest person.
2.Get students to do the exercises-Which is right and answer some questions to learn more about environmental protection in our daily life.
(设计意图:让学生通过做自测、判断及回答问题三种不同类型的练习,让学生明白和理解日常生活中应怎样做来做一名环保者及中学生在保护环境中的重要作用。)
Step 7 Writing practice
Get students to write a passage about protecting the environment according to what they have learned in this topic.
(设计意图:读写结合,学以致用,能把本话题所学内容正确输出,从而达到教学的真正目的。)
Step 8 Summary

The earth needs its forests to remove carbon dioxide from the air and to make oxygen.
Many young volunteers around the world are working in their holidays to plant new trees to replace them.
The weather may be very hot and dry or it may be very cold and wet.
If you remove something from a place, you take it away.
If you remove clothing, you take it off.
If you replace something that is broken, damaged, or lost, you get a new one to use instead.

There are often many insects that bite these planters on their legs, arms, and faces while they work.
An insect is a small animal that has six legs. Most insects have wings. Ants, flies, butterflies, and beetles are all insects.
If you bite something, you use your teeth to cut into it, for example in order to eat it or break it. If an animal or person bites you, they use their teeth to hurt or injure(伤害) you.
