第八讲：连词
专题概述：
连词是历年各省市中考必考知识点 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )。从考查形式看，一般有单项选择、完形填空、词语运用等。所占分值通常为2～4分。从命题意图看，侧重考查考生的具体语言环境中使用连词的能力。连词连接词与词、词组与词组或句子的桥梁。它是英语单词、词组和句子的逻辑符号，属于并列关系的词、词组、句子由并列连词连接，而从属连词用采连接两个有主从关系的句子。21教育名师原创作品
语法考点：
1. 并列连词：并列连词用来连接平行的词、短语或句子；并列连词按照其在句中的作用可分为表示并列关系、转折关系、选择关系和因果关系的连词。
2. 从属连词：从属连词是用来引导从句的词。
连词(Conjunction)
是一种虚词，它不能独立担任句子成分 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )而只起连接词与词，短语与短语以及句与句的作用。连词主要可分为4类:并列连词.转折连词.选择连词和因果连词。连词也可以分为2类:并列连词和从属连词。
并列连词（短语）用法
1. 并列连词的用法
1）and：表并列，意为“和；又”表顺承，可不译
2）but：表转折，意为“但是”
3）or：表选择，意为“或者；还是”，多 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )与either连用，或用在选择疑问句中；表以祈使句为条件的相反假设，意为“否则；要不然”，侧重于忠告或警告，用于否定句中连接并列成分21·cn·jy·com
4）so:表因果,意为“所以”，强调前句的原因导致后句的结果
5）for：表因果,意为“因为”，侧重对前一分句的解释或推断原因
拓展：but/however/while表转折时的区别
①but为口语常用词，语气较强：前后分句所述情况相反。
如：The dress is really beautiful,but it is too small for me.
这条裙子真漂亮，但是对我来说太小了。
②however为副词，表转折时，语气比but稍弱，常做插入语（用逗号隔开）。
如：I offered Sandy a helping hand.However,she refused it.
我向桑迪伸出援助之手，然而她拒绝了。
③while表前后内容有鲜明的对比，但程度最弱。

Soundbook是四款产品中最贵的，而充气椅是最便宜的。
2.并列连词短语的用法
1）both...and...：表并列，意为“····和·····(两者）都”，表肯定
2）neither...nor...：表并列，意为“......和......都不；”“既不·····也不....”，表否定【来源：21cnj*y.co*m】
3）not only...but(also)...：表并列，意为“不但········而且.....”【出处：21教育名师】
4）either...or...：表选择，意为“要么······要么··;或者······或者·......”
5）not...but...：表选择，意为“不是......而是......”,否定前者，肯定后者
拓展：
1）both..and...
连接两个并列成分做主语时，谓语用复数
2）neither..nor...，not only...but(also)...，either...or....，not...but...www-2-1-cnjy-com
连接两个并列成分做主语时，谓语的数遵循“就近一致”原则
从属连词（短语）用法
定义：用以引导名词性从句和状语从句的连词。
其引导的名词性从句包括主语从句、宾语从句、表语从句和同位语从句：
引导的状语从句包括时间、条件、原因、让步、结果、目的和比较等从句。
1.引导名词性从句的从属连词的用法
1）that：可引导主语从句、宾语从句、表语从句和同位语从句，无实义
2）if：可引导主语从句和宾语从句，意为“是否”
①引导名词性从句不能位于句首
②多用于引导表否定意义的宾语从句
3）whether：可引导主语从句、宾语从句、表语从句和同位语从句，意为“是否”
①多与or not连用
②多用于不定式之前或介词之后
③引导宾语从句位于句首，表“是否”时，多用whether
拓展：除that、whether外，because、as if等连词（短语）也可引导表语从句
2.引导状语从句的从属连词（短语）的用法
1）时间从属连词（短语）的用法
when：意为“当····时”，既可指时间点，又可指时间段；可和延续性／非延续性动词连用
while：意为“与····同时；在····期间”，只可指时间段；只和延续性动词连用；强调主从句动作同时发生
as：意为“正当·····时，随着····;边···边....”，强调主从句的动作或状态同时发生
as soon as：意为“一··就...”
till/until：意为“直到······为止”，常用于“not...until..."结构，表示“直到······才...”21*cnjy*com
since：意为“自从....”，常用于：
It is/has been+一段时间＋since从句（从句用一般过去时）
It was/had been+一段时间＋since从句（从句用过去完成时）
before：意为“在......之前”，常用于：
It was+一段时间＋before从句（主过从过）
It will be+一段时间＋before从句（主将从现）
after：意为“在......之后”
2）条件从属连词（短语）的用法
if：意为“如果”，时态上遵循“主将从现”原则
unless：意为“除非，如果不”，相当于if...not...,时态上遵循“主将从现”原则
as long as：意为“只要”
3）.原因从属连词的用法
because：意为“因为”，强调直接造成某种结果的理由和原因，语气最强
since：意为“既然”，表示人们已知的、显然的理由，常置于句首，语气较弱
as：意为“由于”，表示对结果的附加说明，位置灵活，语气最弱
4）.让步从属连词（短语）的用法
although：更正式，语气更强，不与but连用
though：可与although互换，也不与but连用；但指某种假设情况时，只能用though
even though：even与though连用表强调，引导的从句内容是真实的
even if：引导的从句内容是假设性的
no matter+疑问词/疑问词-ever：引导让步状语从句时，二者可互换
5）.结果从属连词(短语)的用法
so...that：意为“如此......以至于”，so是副词，修饰形容词或副词，常用于：
①so+形容词／副词＋that从句
②so+many/few+可数名词复数＋that从句
③so+much/little+不可数名词＋that从句
④so+形容词＋a(n)+可数名词单数＋that从句
such...that:意为“如此......以至于......”，such是形容词，修饰名词或名词短语，常用于：
①such+a(n)+形容词＋可数名词单数＋that从句
②such+形容词＋可数名词复数＋that从句
③such+形容词＋不可数名词＋that从句
拓展：
so..that,enough to...与too..to...的转换
so+形容词／副词＋that+表否定意义的从句 ＝ 否定词＋反义形容词／反义副词＋enough to do sth.
＝ too+形容词／副词＋to do sth.,
均表示“太......以至于不能...”。

6）.目的从属连词（短语）的用法
so that意为“以便”，可与in order that互换
in order that意为“为了”，其引导的从句可置于句首，加强语气
7）.比较从属连词（短语）的用法
than意为“比”，构成“形容词／副词比较级＋than...”结构
as/so...as意为“和......一样”，构成“as/so+形容词／副词原级＋as...”结构，表同级比较
