(1)be made of意为“由……制成”。如：
The kite is made of paper.
风筝是用纸做的。
(2)be made in表示“(某物)生产于(某地)”，后跟地点。如：
This kind of car is made in Japan.
这种汽车产于日本。
(3)be made into表示 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )“被制成(某产品)”，后跟加工制成的产品。这是被动形式，也可以用主动形式make... into...，意为“把……制成……”。如：21·cn·jy·com

(4)be made up of...表示“由……组成”，指某物由若干部分构成。如：
The football team is made up of eleven players.
这支足球队由11名队员组成。

纸是由木头制造而成的。
(6)be made by...表示“由……制造”，by后跟动作的执行者。如：
The desk was made by his father.
这张桌子是他的父亲制作的。
【辨析】be made from与be made of
(1)be made of 后面跟表示材料的名词，从制成品上可以看出原材料。如：
The table is made of wood.
这张桌子是由木头做成的。
(2)be made from后面也跟表示材料的名词，但从制成品上看不出原材料。如：
The wine is made from grain.
这酒是用粮食酿造的。
2. be known for以……而著名
(1)此短语相当于be famous for。如：
He is known for his good voice.
他因他的好嗓子而出名。
(2)与be known as的区别：be known as＝be famous as，意为“作为……而闻名”。如：
He is known/famous as a good singer.
他作为一个好歌手而闻名。
3. turn... into... 把……变成……
turn... into...＝change... into...，意为“把……变成……”。如：
Water can be turned into ice. 水能变成冰。

(1)even though意为“即 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )使；尽管；虽然”，引导让步状语从句。even though与though或although的意思比较接近，许多时候可以互换，但不能与but连用。注意：不能说even although。如：
