一、教学内容分析
本课是人教版Go for it 八年级上册第九单元，本单元围绕邀请这一交际功能展开，要求学生能够运can发出邀请并运用得体的语言表示接受或者拒绝邀请。本阅读文本以书面提出邀请、接受邀请、拒绝邀请并说明原因呈现目标语言，以书面提出邀请为重点，由Section A部分的听说转向文本的阅读理解与书面表达，即读写。
二、学情分析
由于是异校交流授课，师生彼此不熟悉，需要时间磨合，所以在针对教学目标设置教学活动时也应考虑这个因素，由易到难，循序渐进。同时，要设置相关活动以激发他们的学习兴趣和学习信心，让他们在轻松、愉快的氛围中掌握所学知识。此外，本课时阅读内容虽然从话题上来说学生并不陌生，但能正确运用本单元目标语言得体表达自己的观点还是有难度的。因此我采用任务式的教学，让学生完成一个一个的任务，逐步加深对文章的理解，以攻克难点。
三、课时学习目标
1) Knowledge aim:The words and phrases: invitation, without, preparation,surprised, turn down,help out,look forward to ,hear from ...
2)Reading aim:Learn to get the main information from the invitation:who,when,where,how,what...
3)Ability aim:Students know how to make,accept and turn down (refuse) an invitation politely.
