一般过去时表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态。
1.一般过去时的用法
Language points
动词形式：动词过去式。
标志词：last year, last month, last week, last night, three days ago, yesterday, the before yesterday, in+过去的年份。
如：I was short last year.
They went to Hainan last summer holiday.
2.表示时间的介词at, on和at
介词in, on和at都和表示时间的词连用，但用法不同，具体见下表：
介词 用法 示例
in 常用在表示月、季节、年等的词前，也可泛指上午、下午、晚上 in 2010 in May
in spring in the morning
on 常用在表示具体的某天或某一天的上午、下午的词前面 on Monday on May4, 2021
on Monday morning
at 常用在表示具体的时刻、年龄等 at nine
at the age of eleven
3.形容词的比较等级
多数形容词都可以用于比较，说明事物间的等级和程度的差别。形容词有三个比较等级：原级、比较级和最高级。
比较等级 例句
表示“等于”时用原级 She is as tall as I.
表示两者比较时用比较级 She is taller than I.
表示三者或三者以上的比较，意为“最……”时，用最高级 She is the tallest in our class.
选词填空或用括号中单词的适当形式填空。
