害怕(做)某事 be afraid of (doing) sth. 强调害怕引起某种后果
be afraid to do sth. 强调不敢去做某事
be afraid后还可跟that引导的宾语从句, that常省略, 意为“恐怕……”, 用来有礼貌地表达可能令人不快的信息
