There are millions of stars and planets in space. What's the difference between stars and planets Stars can give out heat and light, but planets cannot.
The sun is one of the stars. Some planets are balls of rock and some are balls of gas. We live on the planet earth. The earth spins around once every day to give us day and night. The earth goes around the sun once every year to give us different seasons.
There are eight planets moving around the sun. We call the family of the sun and its planets the solar system. Mercury(水星) is the nearest to the sun, so it is very hot. It is the smallest planet. Venus(金星) is very bright and hot. It is the nearest to the earth. Mars is covered with orange red dust and rocks, so it looks like a red star in the sky. It has seasons like the earth. Jupiter(木星) has more than 16 moons(卫星) and it is the biggest and heaviest planet. Saturn(土星) has more than 22 moons. The other planets such as Uranus and Neptune, are all very far from the sun and very cold. We need a telescope to see them.
56. The sun can give us____.
A. heat and water B. heat and light
C. light and air D. rock and water
57. The underlined words “ spins around” mean ____in Chinese.
A. 飞行 B. 行驶

A. it is covered with orange red dust and rocks
B. it has seasons like the earth
C. it is the nearest to the earth
D. it is covered with red water and dust

Do you know Venus (金星) Of the eight planets Venus is the nearest one to us. Venus was the Roman goddess (女神) of love and beauty. In Greek her name was Aphrodite. Venus and the Earth are almost the same size, and you would weigh almost the same on both planets. If you were 70 pounds on Earth, you would be 63 pounds on Venus.
Venus is an “unfriendly” planet. Because of its thick cloud, you can't see the surface (表面). In many ways Venus is like the Earth. It has active volcanoes (火山), mountains and valleys, too. But Venus is too hot for life. It has the highest temperature of the planets in our solar system, about 480℃. Besides, the Earth lets heat out through volcanoes, hot springs, but Venus lets heat out in a different way. Venus has no moons. Scientists call Venus the Earth's sister planet because Venus and the Earth are almost the same size. For a long time most scientists thought that Venus probably had plants, animals, and possibly even human beings. However, because Venus is so hot, it is impossible for anything to live there.
59. If you were 60kg on Earth, you would be____on Venus.
A. 20kg B. 54kg C. 63kg D. 70kg
60. Why is Venus an “unfriendly” planet
A. It's the nearest planet to us.
B. It's almost the same size as the Earth.
C. People can't see it clearly from the outside.
D. Anything can't live there.
61. Which one is NOT right according to the passage
A. The Earth and Venus are similar in size.
B. Both the Earth and Venus have active volcanoes.
C. The surface of Venus is much hotter than that of the Earth.
D. Venus has the same way to let heat out as the Earth.
62. Which is the best title for the passage
A. Planets around Us
B. Life on Other Planets
C. The Story of Earth
D. The Introduction to Venus

China's carrier rocket family—the Long March 7A—made its first successful flight at the Wenchang Space Launch(发射) Center in Hainan Province on March 12 morning, 2021, sending a technology satellite into space.
The launch was the 362nd flight of the Long March rocket series and also the second by the Long March 7A. Its first flight failed(失败) in March 2020 .
The rocket can place a 7 ton spacecraft into transfer orbit(轨道). Its task is to send satellites into high altitude orbits .
The research and development of the new rocket took 22 months and was mainly based on the Long March 7. Meng Gang, Long March 7A's project manager, said the Long March 7A will improve the development of large, heavy satellites.
He said that the nation's satellites will become heavier because they will have more equipment(设备) and more fuel.
However, the Chinese major rocket—the Long March 3B—only has a maximum(最大的)transport capacity(能力) of 5. 5 tons to the transfer orbit. It cannot lift 6 or 7 tons. The Long March 5, China's largest rocket, can send 14 tons , but it will be a huge waste(浪费) for such rockets to lift those satellites.
“Therefore, a new model like the Long March 7A is necessary and useful, ” Meng said.

A Journey to Mars
Now we are in 2050. Our school organized a great journey to Mars a few days ago. We went to Mars by spaceship. On Mars we visited everywhere. We found a lot of things different from those on our earth. The environment there was very beautiful. We also had a party. Many students took an active part in the party, and their songs were very nice. Finally, we made a telephone call with aliens. We all had a good time.
The trip was very interesting and I'll never forget the journey. I hope to travel to Mars again.
