Section C教学设计
一、教材分析:
本课是九年级第三单元第一话题的第三课时,要完成1a,1b,1c 和2。主活动是1a和2。学生通过阅读1a,继续学习以书面形式呈现的一般现在时态的被动语态。1b则让学生运用阅读策略,找文章的中心句。1c让学生学习怎样归纳总结文章的主要内容。2是对1a 的补充,换个角度来说明英语的重要性。3a是小组活动,需要学生查找资料才能完成,3b是在3a的基础之上进行的写作活动。由于课堂限制,把这两个部分作为课后作业来处理。通过学习English Around the World,让学生进一步了解英语的重要地位。让学生认识到要成为一个现代社会的有用之才,学好英语是非常有必要的。
二、教学目标:
1.知识目标
掌握本课的重点词汇和短语,继续学习一般现在时态的被动语态。
2.技能目标
能读懂用一般现在时态的被动语态表达的文章。
能找出段落、文章的中心句。
能归纳,总结文章的主要内容。
能根据需要,适当地运用主动语态和被动语态。
能运用一般现在时态的被动语态,以口头和书面的形式来表达自己的观点,写出小短文。
3.情感目标
通过学习,激发学生对英语的需求,让学生自发地从“要我学”变为“我要学”,实现从外驱动到内驱动的转变。
了解英语对世界文化交流和许多行业的影响力。
三、教学重难点:
1. 教学重点

四、学习策略
在1b这个活动中,能运用阅读策略,迅速找出段落和文章的中心句。
在3a 中,要求学生能运用各种资源获取所需要的信息,如:能合理运用网络资源,向老师、同学、家长求助等。学会运用资源策略。
能积极地加入小组进行讨论,勇于表达自己的观点,在合作中相互学习。
五、教学过程:
Step 1: Warming up
1. Show students the language objects of the class.
设计意图:让学生明确本节课的目标,带着目标去学习,才能用最少的时间来达成最高的效率.
2. Watch a short video about the world’s English mania.
3. Talk about English mania.
设计意图:截取了TED一段关于世界英语热的演讲给学生看,一来缓解一下上课的紧张气氛,二来可以让学生了解英语学习的现状,并导入新课.
Step2: Pre-reading
1. Brainstorm: When and where is English often used
设计意图:通过头脑风暴的方式, 为短文得阅读做了很好的铺垫,也让学生进一步了解英语的重要地位。让学生认识到要成为一个现代社会的有用之才,学好英语是非常有必要的。
Step 3: While-reading
1. Fast reading: Read 1a and find out what the red numbers refer to.
设计意图:学生通过略读方式快速找到这些红色数字所代表的含义,并向学生提出作者列举这一系列数字的目的是什么 从而引导他们写作时要注意论据的选用.
2. Fast reading: Find out the topic sentence of this passage.
设计意图: 通过查找主题句这个活动, 可以让学生学习这种开门见山式的写作技巧以及行文结构安排.对后面的写作环节具有很好的指导作用
3. Careful reading
1) Read the article carefully and find out the details that are related to the number 4.
设计意图:在规定的时间里,以小组竞赛的方式,在文中找出以下四个细节,集趣味和竞争为一体的活动可以充分调动学生的课堂参与积极性。
2) Read the passage and finish 1c.
设计意图:让学生学习怎样归纳总结文章的主要内容。这种思维导图模式也是学生写作时列提纲的模式了。
