教材分析
该课出自于外研社新标准英语（一起）四年级上册Reading for pleasure，是本册书中语言拓展环节中的一篇故事教学。本节课的主要目标在于学习猴子和帽子的故事后，初步复述故事，并从中挖掘出故事的主人公是一个勤于思考、勤于实践的人；而猴子也具有naughty 之外imitate的特性。
学情分析
四年级的孩子具有一定的英语水平，他们对英语学习保持着较高的兴趣；因为又是一篇故事，这更能激发孩子们的学习热情。他们可以通过观察图片，与自己的想象相结合，理解故事、表达故事。同时，在课堂中还要为程度较好的孩子，提供能够培养他们想象及语言表达能力的舞台。
教学目标（在本课结束后，学生将能够……）
1.语言能力：能在图片的帮助下读懂、理解三个动词短语：①shake fist, stamp feet, throw on the ground；②用自己的语言讲述这个故事；③对故事能进行续编。
2.思维能力：①能对教师给出的图片信息，进行观察，并予以表达；②能根据图片对故事的发展做出判断、预测、推理，并说明理由。
3.学习能力：通过预测、阅读故事，掌握故事发生的背景，以及主人公遇到的问题，并随主人公一起解决问题；借助教师板书支架用自己的语言描述Hats and monkeys；并鼓励学生对故事进行续编。
教学重难点
基础水平：用自己的语言讲述故事，通过小组合作，表演故事，进一步加深对故事内容的理解。 高级水平:发散思维，尝试续编故事。
